My foot size is 8. 5 regular. The boot size is the same but it feels `` spacious ''. Not too long or short or even wide but ample- enough to accommodate a thick sock. My advice would be that if your foot is low volume or on the small side of the size like mine, order down, if your foot is high volume, order your size, and if your foot is on the high side, order up. A size 8 might have been perfect for me but might not have been roomy enough for thick socks. It's a trade off. The boot leather is super thick but the boots were comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. So far they 're holding up well. The steel toe has not been a problem in the winter cold or summer heat. It is not a factor except when a chunk of wood slips out of my tired hands. I had to learn the need of a steel toe the hard way. I only wish Timberland attached a pull loop to the heel. They put one on their loafers but not on a 6 '' boot. Unusual. A loop would help with the on/off process. What would also help would be lace hooks in place off the top two lace holes. With lace holes the laces have to be pulled down and out to loosen them to widen the boot for removal. You ca n't just kick these boots off. Neither of the above nit picks is a deal breaker. I love these waffle stompers.

These are the most comfortable work boots I 've ever had. I 've been wearing Timberland Pro's for the last 8 years but decided it was time for a change because there is n't enough protection from corn formation. With these I do n't feel rubbing on the top of my feet. The cushioned wedge makes it easier to be on my feet for 8- 12 hour long days. The strings are light weight and do not dangle ridiculously long they 're perfect. The only thing I would love for them to add is a cushion barrier on the inside of the boot that wraps along the ankle. I don ’ t have a particularly wide foot but I like to wiggle my toes a lot and the toe box has plenty of space for that. I used their online foot sizer with my foot as flat as possible and my toes spread out as wide as I could get them and was recommended a 9. 5 wide, they fit perfectly. Very well made. You can tell they are individually crafted in an old school manner and not just spat out in mass numbers and I love that. I just purchased these sneakers and I am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these shoes are. I have never had any safety toe shoe or boot be this comfortable. I also like the fact that you can slip them on and off without having to tie and untie them every time, which is super convenient for the application for where I am wearing them. When I first got them out of the box they felt heavy but when they are on your feet they are not heavy at all but like wearing regular sneakers with the benefit of the safety toe. TBH I read all the reviews and the ones complaining about heavy use, you ’ re probably overweight and overworked. If you ’ re in a bullue collar field you ’ re most likely making bank so stop complaining and it ’s your feet change the shoes every six months. I ’ ve had mine for about 2 years now and it ’s worked fabulously. Lightweight, durable and everything is functional. Get over yourself, if you ’ re using them 50- 60 hours a week of course you ’ ll destroy them. Take care of your feet!

I bought these boots 2. 5 years ago and just bought a new pair. I really didn ’ t need to because they still hold up. I didn ’ t perform any care for these boots and they ’ ve held up amazing. I wore a hole in the toe crease point and the leather began separating from the toe about a month ago. I ’ ve worn them through my metal fabrication jobs a short term at UPS( immense amount of walking) and even plumbing putting a lot of wear and tear on the toes of these but they still held up. Metguards added in the past 3 months. I ’ ve been drenched while plumbing and in the rain. I ’ ve worked in these while dealing with more than 3 feet of snow through the cold seasons. I personally stay away from the models that have zippers I ’ ve never had a good experience with zippers. Worked most weeks as 7/10s or 6/10s and still wore them casually. I couldn ’ t recommend them more.

Nice fit. Sole is real grippy. First saftey toe that actually has room. Usually wear super rain forest but sole on them good in dirt but slippery on cold hard surfaces. Got these because I read they were roomy. They are roomy and great grip. Nice boot for price. Love rain forest but composite toe and sole are tight on toe and slippery on hard cold surfaces. These. Wear a 12. 5 these are 13. Only boot made by danner in 12. 5 is MEB and it is a great boot. These work at size 13..

This is my 3rd pair of Viscous. I personally like the 4. 5. The boot fits true to size. Plenty of room in the toe box. They last me a year and half to two years. I 'm an aircraft mechanic so not a ton of walking but on my feet for 12 hours and lots of flexibility needed. My favorite part is how light they are. The speed lace hooks are durable except the small plastic in the middle for looks can pop off.
