These are indeed shorts, however, I 'm a curvy girl( 5' 5 '', 180 lbs, 28 waist, 47 hips& I got a size medium), so I absolutely could not wear these in public nor to the gym because with too much movement or if bending over, the bottom part of my butt would be out. With that being said, it's inappropriate for me to wear in public or to the gym, therefore, I 'll wear these around the house to lounge in or under my clothes as underwear maybe.
