I 've had these for close to a month now so they are broken in. First pair of On and I do like the styling or how they look. In terms of comfort, they are good but not great. It could be that there are better products that On makes that are more suitable for my foot shape. For comfort, my pair of Hoka Mach 5 are a more comfortable shoe than the On Cloudrunner for walking. I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

Nike Vaporfly 4 Proto This racing shoe is somewhat uncomfortable, but yet quite fast. The support near the ankle is not very secure, but it works. Laces can be an issue though as wearing this racing shoe requires a tight lacing setting due to it's low amount of secureness. This is an issue as it will be too tight, or not tight enough. Having it too tight will result in when taking off the shoe, having a stingy sensation on your foot( 5 mins). The Vaporfly 4 Proto also uses a Jordan 1 styled toebox which means it will be slightly uncomfortable. The racing shoe runs small, so go a size and a half up. Not only that, but the ZoomX foam is not very durable. I would recommend NOT washing this shoe or any Vaporfly/Alphafly due the ZoomX foam which is very fragile. Apart from all this, the Vaporfly 4 Proto(s) is an acceptable choice for racing due to it's stiffness with the carbon fiber plate and the cushioning ZoomX foam.

No shoe will ever be as good as the Gel- Cumulus 23, but I am very pleased with the GC- 27. Mile after mile of spongy comfort, excellent lateral support, great energy return. I just ordered my second pair of the Rubatos to replace the ones I ordered a year ago. I walk about 1- 4 miles a day and have worn these on about 66% of those walks. They provide plenty of cushioning and support. I can wear these for long periods of time without my lower back and feet hurting. What a beautiful shoe! I was very excited to give this one a opportunity as ince i needed a shoe for runnable trails along with dirt/gravel paths. Sizing for me was absolutely perfect, I ordered 10. 5 as always and hold and toe box spacing is excellent. I will have to play around with lacing tightness to figure out that best heel hold but that's the case with most shoes imo. The midsole is incredible and I 'm sure it will take on the abuse well, the bounce and propulsion is entirely new for me, I have never experienced something like this before. It would be a waste to use this for easy/slow runs since the rocker and midsole are clearly for running at faster paces.

These are great- highly cushioned but stable. I would use these on moderate trails but nothing too technical. My only complaint would be the padded tongue- it's hot! The shoe fits wider than typical Nikes.

Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

[ The shoes are form fitted to the foot and have a nice snug feel without being too tight on my feet to limit the amount of hours they are worn in a day comfortably. I used the initial insoles that came with the shoes and were quite comfortable, however once getting custom insoles specific to my foot, I would say these could very well be the most comfortable pair of shoes I have owned. The foam base is not over- sized and provides good foot and ankle support while walking/running. The shoes are very light weight and have good breathability with the upper portion of the shoe being primarily a mesh type material that allows for good air flow and helps to keep your feet cool while wearing, even though they fit snugger than most pairs of shoes.
