I ’ ve bought Reebok Nano 6 ’s for years and they ’ ve been great for CrossFit workouts. I recently switched to more HIIT workouts and really felt the need for more cushioning- especially going from box jumps to sprints and more. I bought the metcons in both 8. 5( my normal size) and 9 ’s as people said to size up. They were comfortable and had more cushioning yet the same stability as my metcons but the sizing was a bit weird. My normal size felt a little bit tighter/smaller but the 9 ’s felt huge. I stuck with my normal size and did my first HIIT workout and they were SOLID. Super comfortable, stable for heavy lifts, and most importantly didnt feel tight. Definitely my new favorite shoe. I ’ m slow and been running for about a year. 175lbs. About 9: 50 min marathon pace. I didn ’ t want a carbon plate shoe, and decided on the SB2 for my marathon shoe. I have now worn for most of my runs. Long, tempo, recovery, threshold, and even intervals- and race shoes for my marathon. I think they ’ re awesome at all of those, except, maybe not best for intervals- though they definitely worked- just maybe not best suited for that. No hotspots or slippage or issues, comfort was awesome- and the rocker is great! Super comfortable and I know they helped me reach my marathon goal with way more comfort that what I had done the majority of my training block runs in.( Puma Deviate Nitro 2). Towards the end of my block my training shoes were wearing down and I bought the SB2 ’s as my race day event shoe. I ’ m now at 100mi and they ’ re awesome. They are very big shoes. I am a size 10, and the size of these seemed like they had a bit more room than I was used to and a longer design than what I was training in( Puma DN2 mentioned above). I even ordered/tried on a 9. 5 but those felt a little too snug. So I kept with the 10. I think they ’ re just a bigger shoe by design. But even with being large they feel so light and help me stay comfortable at my higher paces. Support and comfort has been excellent! Definitely was a step up in comfort after training in my DN2 ’s for the block.

The cushy craze is not normally my thing because I feel like I 'm falling off of the sides, but I love my Escalantes so much I thought I 'd give it a try. Glad I did! Cushioning is just the right amount of comfort and offers enough feeling of contact with the ground that I need to feel stable. Hope they stay in rotation!

These are great- highly cushioned but stable. I would use these on moderate trails but nothing too technical. My only complaint would be the padded tongue- it's hot! The shoe fits wider than typical Nikes.

Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

Not being a stranger to On Cloud shoes, I bought these from the sale table( my size is hardly ever on a sale table at Dicks!). They fit perfect, color was not my first choice but could not resist the price. Like my other On Clouds, they are perfect fit, but you do run 1/2 size too small. They are very light, fit like slippers and walk and run very well as they cushion your feet. Like other On Clouds, be careful not to scrape or use them for harsh conditions as they will tear or a hole can happen. They are meant for light to medium wearing conditions and do very well at that.
