The Hikelite 18 is incredible for travel, day hikes, daily commuting via bike, and more. Someone wrote that the Hikelite is lacking a handle loop. IDK, mine has one. As I do with all my backpacks, I put a large S- biner on it, so I can hang it, it even hooks over 40 cm thick stall doors so I do n't have to set my pack down. I also riveted thick vinyl sheeting on bottom so that it can be set down on icky bathrooms or muddy ground..... Osprey take note! Bottom of packs should have waterproof vinyl sheet!

I 'm really pleased with how it can attach on the Farpoint despite not being the Farpoint- specific daypack, because this gives me a daypack with a bit more space. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

My friend has the same style bag but the smaller version, we both have experienced a hitch on the zipper on the top right side of the bag. It must be close to where some strong seams come together on the inside of the bag, it makes it difficult to open/close in that one spot every time- even if the pack isn ’ t super full. Such a good bag, 100 oz of water is 4x my large yeti and the bag still has so much room I fit in an additional shoulder bag, snacks, some accessories and some green, and still had the half of the largest pouch not taken up by the water pouch. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

[ We have had the Poco LT for about 3 weeks and we absolutely love it! We just took it to Hawaii for a week and it packs down super small for travel. Before Hawaii I had taken it out about 5 times for about 10 miles total. After Hawaii, I have about 20 miles total with a 22 lbs. Baby plus waters, other canned beverages, snacks, and extra layers bringing my pack total to about 30 pounds! The pack has plenty of storage. The harness and hip belt system distribute the weight perfectly for a really comfortable carry. They are breaking in very quickly and becoming more and more comfortable with every adventure! The built in sunshade really helps keep my little trail buddy out of the sun. I also purchased the rain cover but haven ’ t used it yet. Also, I purchased the travel case for the Poco LT and it works great. It ’s durable and spacious enough to hold a little extra gear if you wanted to add some items to it. This is my only go- everywhere bag that I take with me any time I leave the house. I ’ ve been using it for three years and I love it as much as the day I got it. I keep my phone in the back top- zippered compartment, and AirPods and lip balm in the small front pocket. In the main compartment slip pocket I have a notebook, pen, stain remover; in the rest of the compartment, I have alcohol hand spray, a pack of tissues, prescription glasses in their case standing up, and beside the glasses a Fjällräven pencil case in which I carry my must- haves( Advil, pocket knife, measuring tape, Bandaids, sanitary pad, alcohol wipes, nail file, hair elastic, eye glasses spray cleaner, snack). The glasses case and the Fjällräven pencil case stand up perfectly side by side, and in front of them I keep my Fjällräven Zip Wallet( filled with approximately 15 cards and cash). All of these items combined fit into the Sling without issue, and I can still put my large set of keys inside if I don ’ t want them in my pocket or clipped to the sturdy strap. In one of the side pockets, I keep a reusable bag. For a bag this small, it ’s amazing all that it can hold, and it ’s super comfortable to wear and have on all day. My one word of caution is to not wear the bag with any kind of delicate athletic/spandex- type clothing since the heavy- duty woven strap can snag or pull the fabric. For people who talk about colour transfer, please use common sense. If you buy the bag in a light colour, yes, of course, it will get dirty( the light colours make no sense to me and don ’ t blame the company for that)!! Similarly, yes, do not wear the bag in a dark colour rubbing against a white shirt. It ’s obvious from the material of the Sling that colour can transfer in both ways. I have mine in Dark Forest( same colour as my backpack and several items of clothing) and absolutely adore it. I love how I can grab the bag by the handles or the long strap, how everything is securely zipped, how hard- wearing the material is, and how I can also hook things to the bag if necessary. I can ’ t recommend it enough.

This little but mighty backpack will be perfect for when I am abroad, which is twice a year for a month each time, because it is not heavy or too big for my frame. When I ’ m out and about sightseeing or hiking, I only need a few items, not a great big, heavy leather backpack. I will also use it as my every- day- carry as my handbag/purse. And the colors available are gorgeous. It is so well- made!

i usually hate splurging on bags because they never tend to last, but i ’ ve had my sling in clay for about two years now- i ’ m a super accident prone person, and i needed a bag that could deal with getting thrown around or beat up. it ’s been handling that very well! there ’s some minor discoloration/scratches on the bag, but all issues are solely cosmetic and would probably come out with a gentle wash:) carries a good deal of stuff( calculator, phone, glasses, etcetera) and i get tons of compliments on it. definitely worth buying if you ’ re a mess like me haha

I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13- 15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground- good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. One of your sales people on the phone recommended it after I tried several other models and sizes. Could n't be happier. One of the zippers broke before my trip but it was n't key. I will call regarding this. Otherwise- highly recommend this pack. So light, so comfy, so kind to my body after a long haul. Thank you.

My old first- gen Distance 8 is finally wearing out after thousands of miles, hundreds of mountains, 100k PRs, snow and rain, gallons of sweat and pounds of salt, who knows what else. This iteration of the Distance 8 is like an old friend with a few useful refinements. So comfortable I grab it even for a basic 30 minute outing if I want to go hands- free with water or phone, but also absolutely reliable for the biggest adventures.

This is an upgrade over my previous vest from a different retailer. Big roomy pockets on the front for flasks with elastic loops that go over the lid to prevent it from sinking down in the sleeve over time. I love the zippered pocket on the left for my phone and the mesh pockets on either side for snacks. The bag has an easy top cinch at the top and is super roomy for the other essentials and then some. There is probably enough space in the pack itself for an emergency overnight. The fit is luxuriously comfortable, feels secure with very little bouncing and jostling. The only aspect of the pack I have n't used is the pole sleeves on either side of the pack or the elastic loops for lashing poles to the outside. They seem like they would work very well with the distance z poles, but not my old school backpacking poles. Really though, this is a great buy, I am extremely satisfied with the fit, feel, and quality of the running pack.

` I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who has n't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7- 8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area- a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. Never had to use the internal rainfly, but that was definitely a selling point for me. Highly recommend!

This is my go to bag! Just big enough to fit my laptop without being overly bulky. Great for a city day bag, side pockets are perfect for umbrella and small water bottle. When I ’ m not carrying my laptop, the back padded section is perfect for my wallet and other valuables, or items I want to find more easily. When traveling, I usually have no problem at museums, and just use the handles to carry like a bag. Also, fits great under the airplane seat.

I was looking for a lightweight hyrdation pack to use while cycling. This rig meets all of my requirements except for one... the process of getting rid of the plastic smell and taste of a new unit. Seems like Camelback could develop a consumer product or provide specific guidance on how to resolve this issue. I found several YouTube videos offering advice but none have worked completely yet. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the product.

I 've been purchasing Camelbak packs going on 16 years and now have at least one designated to each activity I do; running, MTB, Cycling, Hiking, and working outside. I would say I still love the fit and durability of each different style I have( the one I use for working outside is the first Rogue I purchased in 2008), and I 'm really happy Camelbak finally upgraded the bite valve design, but the added magnetic clip placement still needs a more permanent home to affix to on the shoulder strap or chest strap, or something. When the only place to affix it to is somewhere along the adjustable side of the chest strap it's just never in a constant place to mindlessly clip it back in. Otherwise, I 'm still a loyal and satisfied user.
