My last pair was over 2 years although they were hammered. Just picked up another pair and fitted them with some custom insoles. Very happy with this boot and will probably pick up another pair in 2 years. The sole wears somewhat quick but thats what you get when it's a non- slip sole that doesnt track mud everywhere. These are the most comfortable work boots I 've ever had. I 've been wearing Timberland Pro's for the last 8 years but decided it was time for a change because there is n't enough protection from corn formation. With these I do n't feel rubbing on the top of my feet. The cushioned wedge makes it easier to be on my feet for 8- 12 hour long days. The strings are light weight and do not dangle ridiculously long they 're perfect. The only thing I would love for them to add is a cushion barrier on the inside of the boot that wraps along the ankle. I 'm glad a made the switch to Carhartt for working boots and use Timberland for what they 're known best for, just fashion. Thank you from a proud hardworking Detroiter.

I work in IT and while it may sound like I sit at a desk behind a computer screen, I assure you, I am climbing, squatting, lifting, pulling, in cramped quarters, outside, on roof tops, in dirty crawl spaces... I ordered Oxford dress shoes I saw my order confirmed for Oxford PTC. I liked how the PTC looked so I did not complain about it. When I get new shoe I usually have to buy a thicker foam insoles. I had to do that with this pair of shoes as well. I like how well I can walk all day in these shoes. Usually I buy hard toe shoes, but I am experimenting with the bumper toe. I already slammed my toes into a cart wheel, the bumper toe protected my toes, no pain. I am a nurse, moving fast, making turns. These shoes stay on and perform very well.

The shoes are well made and I can already tell they will be very durable in a greasy, dirty environment.( Transmission mechanic). The oil resistant does have a more open tread pattern so they wo n't collect the oil and dirt and cake up with it. However, these are not what I would call comfortable. The leather on the upper is very stiff and hard on your feet, the insoles are kind of hard. They are getting better as I break them in, but still not great. I 'm not sure I would buy a second pair after this one.

I have no intention of using these boots for riding or cleaning stalls. I will use them for Winter Walk and forays in the forests and beaches shooting( photography) wildlife. I took them out for our first snowfall walk. They are comfortable and warn. It was 20 degrees and I wore only a dress weight alpaca sock. My feet were never cold. There was plenty room for me to wear a heavier weight sock. I did encounter some wet spots along the marsh and my feet were totally dry. I will note that these boots do not have lug soles, so they were slick walking up snow covered steep slopes. This is not a knock on these boots for me. I have Yaktrax Diamond grips and Kahtoola Micro Spikes- both fit over these beefier boot. I love the ease of slipping into with the optional pull tabs( which I didn ’ t need to use.). The last pair of “ rubber boots ” I owned were snug to pull on. The liner is great. I ’ m sure these will be what the doctor ordered for my Winter Adventures. I wear 10. 5 Wide typically. The 11 and Medium width were perfect.

These boots are amazing! I ’ m used to buying boots from the big box stores and they are stiff, uncomfortable, and seem to dry out fairly quickly. My Chore Cool boots are anything but that! These are the first pair of boots I ’ ve been able to comfortably walk in, even without socks. Always wore long socks to buffer my ankles, but these are comfortable enough to wear barefoot! We have 3 acres and I ’ d rather wear these than any other of my other shoes…even when the grass is cut and there ’s no need!!

So far, I 've used them for outdoor walking in the rain, during summer and they 're great. The tall hight makes sure water and mud do n't splash in. They decently cushion my feet for long walks. Second pair of these boots. Wish they came in half sizes. We put an insert in them and they fit better though. Freest boot that fits snug to the calf without cutting off circulation. Important if you are weed whacking and don ’ t want a bunch of grass down your boot! Super comfy and keeps feet cooler than the cheap black boots. As advertised, just a solid boot, well structured with that Vibram sole. The size 10 felt snug out if the box with work socks but they broke in without problem( Redwing 9. 5) Good traction and stance on snow, ice and mud. The height is ideal for chores and short distance walks. I 've received a few compliments on the looks too which surprised me for rubber boots.

Sizing fit my normal size, 10. 5D. Always have worn cowboy boots but unsure if my feet are changing or what but lately the top of my foot at the ankle has been rubbed raw by cowboy boots that I have worn for years through various styles( ariat, double H, Redwing). Did n't want to give up the heel style I prefer so after reading reviews ordered these. After a month of wear, found my ideal boots. They are light, almost no weight to them and the break in was no struggle with normal wear and rest of cycles between this and other pairs of boots. I had tried the Red Wing Logger Max 9 inch years ago and the laces for some reason refused to stay tied( unsure if it was the pair or user error). I work in an administrative environment 80% of the time with 20% in the field. I cant say enough about the weight, as I stated almost none, I have worn boots my entire life and Redwings have encompassed about 70% of the brands I have always worn. With good care and resoling as needed, look forward to having these boots for years.

I 've tried on many a different brand and style of loggers and these are by far the best fitting! I had a time finding a logger boot fmto fit my feet cause im a 12. 5 on a bradick board, or however its called. Im in between a 12 and 13 in every other boot brand which never fit right. Purchased a size 12 and they are sized larger than my feet at about a size 12. 5. So they fit perfect. I walk for miles in these boots for my job across all diff terrain types around the southeastern U. S. my first pair lasted me over 2 years before the inner heal wore out. They are so comfortable for me I wear them on every job, even sites where steel toes are n't required. I bought these boots after I bought a pair of ariats that after 2 months had already started to break down and cut into my foot. Needless to say I returned them and went with this boot. It's comfortable, waterproof which is a must since I 'm a new construction electrician and the electrical hazard safety was a plus. I did n't know what to expect but after 3 years of daily use it was finally time to replace them but if I had too, I could have pushed them even longer. I did n't keep them oiled as I should have so the leather was finally drying out. I replaced with the same boot just different style. Once you find something that works, you have to stay with it. I normally add an extra insert for added support, but there really is no need for these boots. While mainly for work, i definitely want to get the most out of these boots, but i must say that these particular boots i have are not cut out for hiking. Absolutely some of the most if not the most comfortable work boot's I 've ever worn! I used to wear Red Wings but, their quality has gone downhill the past few years. These boots and lightweight and easily cleaned up after a long day in the field.

Must say so far so good. Have had them less than a month but break in period was short and boots have been a comfortable addition to workday. On my feet a lot and was concerned I would not have same comfort as previous boots( had for over 12 years). A little early to comment on durability but have faith in the Carhart name. Rated quality and durability a 3 only because of short time in ownership

This is my third pair of Carhart's 6 '' Soft Toe Work Boot. I love them. They are tough, long lasting and comfortable. I use them for my everyday foot wear except dress occassions. I even take my daily four mile walk in them. I hike in them and hunt in them. For me, they are the best boot I have every owned in terms of quality. When properly maintained, they are water repellent. This would n't have been my third pair if I was n't completely sold on this Carhart product.

I ’ ve been wearing the Georgia Wedge over 15yrs now and prolly has become my one and only boot/shoe i wear with everything. Lol, went from Nike ’ s/Vans/Chucks to only Georgia wedge. I love them so much i have pairs for work and everyday wear. I ’ ve worked for the Water company where i live and not really being “ water proof ” i still wore them and they would hold up for 6 months or so. That ’s jumping on shovels, kicking stuff, underwater, asphalt and so forth… as well as the Natural gas field and seems to hold up better without constant water lol i ’ ve bought up to 6 pairs in a yr bcuz all the OT I was working, but i say all this to say i never had more compliments then this boot and i ’ ve worn every brand, the quality of leather is the best and i can walk in them all day. I think I ’ ll be buried in them. You think i ’ m lying ask my wife. Lol here ’s 2 i have in my garage wit 2 in my closet. Cant wait to try the “ waterproof ” wedge ones now for work!

Product arrived today. Seems to fit true to size. Looks nice, feels comfortable to walk around in, and is nicely padded for foot support. Reflective strips on midsole and lace holders add an extra safety element. The composite toe is roomy and much lighter than a steel toe. Appears to be well constructed.

Hello I bought this boots about 4 days ago and I work about 10 hours a day doing carpenting. My job is quite a workout going up stairs and down climbing walls and having my feet on all different angles. About the boot is good quality and good looking too and light weight the carbon max replacing the steel toe is good too but and u have plenty of room for the toe area my feet does n't get tired or fatigue the bad is the carbon max hurts me a lil bit but over all good boot.
