Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. I previously was wearing my blundstones but on- 20 F nights I just was n't having it anymore! I 've now been wearing these Bogs for a few weeks and in( almost) all sorts of condition. They were definitely a bit stiff the first 2 weeks I 'd say. But now my foot easily slips in and out of the shoe. I noticed a little bit of rubbing on my ankle in those first two weeks but that has gone away. I have high arches and usually put some inserts into my shoes. I tried that for a bit with these and found it to be a little tight. They are comfortable without the inserts but I might try again in the future once they are completely broken in. Overall, happy with my purchase! I have only kind of slipped on the ice once- which is great great improvement from before! Woohoo!

I am between a 9 and 9. 5 because I have a wide foot. I got the 9. 5 and it fits great. Super comfortable. The width is true to size, but a tiny but snug for me at first because of my wide foot- but still totally wearable all day and comfortable. classy and edgy at the same time

[ This boot is great for ankle stability. Even on uneven terrain, my foot and ankle have minimal or no movement. I did need a wide size, even though I normally don ’ t need one. They are stiff out of the box, but the stiffness eases if worn for a couple days. Roomy toe box and easily takes after market orthotics.

The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. I was outside for 2 hours and my feet and calves didn ’ t get cold. I was able to walk uphill on ice and not slip. They are comfortable and require little “ break in ”. Great purchase.

I got these boots to work outside since they said they were waterproof& warm. Well no tso much. My feet were freezing at 33 degrees outside& I could feel the water creeping through my boots. Plus they are very stiff& not as comfortable as they look.
