Seem to be waterproof and they are very comfortable. They do not squeak like my last pair of On so that is a big plug! Able to wear them traveling all day and be comfortable but they do make my feet sweat a lot. The green color is nice but impossible to keep clean. I bought these for general hiking, but the immediate intent was to have something capable on hikes while light enough for city walking for an upcoming trip to Switzerland. They were just what I wanted, light enough for travel but grippy and heavy enough for trails. I had the Moab 3s and really loved them, and I feel like these are a lighter more mobile version of those. Thirty years ago I suffered a severe mid foot crush fracture which is now arthritic combined with areas of non- union. I have worn Morrell Moab 3 ’s for many years with orthotics and had the best support possible, but the antora has given me amazing pain free ambulation while walking our rural property and roads, as well as while shopping and walking the dogs. The shoes are lighter weight, still offer excellent support especially mid- foot, with quicker and easier breakover which makes an enormous difference to my gait and comfort. These are super comfortable and very lightweight for a mid hiking shoe. The outer is only slightly tougher than a normal running shoe, but waterproof. Of course the outsole is much grippier. The boots look great and based on walking the dog in the rain they are definitely water proof. The shoes are true to size, You may want to get a 1/2 size bigger if you always wear thick socks. [ I absolutely love these shoes. I work at a desk but need to be ready at any given time to go outside to lead a hike, help with mowing a campsite, or anything else. These shoes provide the ability to do that. They were comfortable the first day I wore them. I took a hike to some ice formations and they provided excellent stability and traction on the way there and on the ice. They are true to size. I can wear these with regular cotton socks but can also comfortably wear wool socks too. I have not tested the waterproof capabilities so I can ’ t comment on that feature.

I have a wide foot& found it difficult to find a shoe that fit well, had the features I wanted, and did n't look ugly. Although this shoe does not come in wide, I read a prior review saying it had a wide enough toe box to accommodate that width. I took a chance and bought a pair. I was delighted to find it does, in fact, accommodate a wide( D) width, and it fits perfectly- not oversized at the ankle. It makes walking much easier and more comfortable. The nonslip tread is especially helpful. The shoe is also quite attractive, a definite improvement over many other brands. I 'm quite pleased with my purchase, and will likely repurchase in a second colour combination.
