The Ultra Adventure is my fifth Sunday Afternoons hat-- and my first in this style. The other four are the Sport model. I got my first one eight years ago for sun protection and haven ’ t been without one since. I burn easily, and after dealing with some retina issues from bright light, I ’ ve gotten very serious about protecting my eyes. I also walk a lot near lakes and other water, where the sunlight can be really intense. These hats do a great job covering my face and helping block glare.( I still wear sunglasses too for extra eye protection.) They fit true to size. My head is fairly small and I wear the Small/Medium. One small note-- the slider in the back tends to loosen easily, so I secure it with a quick stitch of thread and that takes care of it. They 're super easy to clean. I just soak them in enzyme- based laundry detergent for a few hours or overnight, rinse well, and hang to dry. Even after all these years, my hats still look great. I keep buying them because I like the colors, and I ’ m trying this style for a little more coverage. Highly recommended for solid sun protection, especially for your face!

And you take off in the wind like the flying nun. These visors are the perfect length for keeping the sun out of your eyes. I love the lightness; however, I ’ m not sure how they will fair in strong winds. I also wish they had more colors to choose from. I like the light gray, however, it didn ’ t allow me to tighten it enough; The light purple was easier to tighten to my needs. This has been my go- to hat for years. I 've worn it so much that the color has faded. I really like how the skirt can be unbuttoned from the brim and let hang- it provides an additional ventilation option. I also like the draw cord- again it allows ventilation options. I 've also found that the draw cord makes the hat easy to hang from my shoulder strap water bottle if I need to remove the hat while under trees for additional ventilation. The hat is a solid hat from Outdoor Research. It reminds me of one of my favorite hats from 4- 5 years ago from OR. The hat is a mid crowd hat compared to other older models breathable trucker hats. The hat is a solid hat from Outdoor Research. It reminds me of one of my favorite hats from 4- 5 years ago from OR. The hat is a mid crowd hat compared to other older models breathable trucker hats. The material breaths well and the adjustment system is simple and easy to adjust on windy days. You can throw it in your bag in the morning and wear for happy hour beers after a ride. Easy to clean or wash off on a a rainy day. Solid boat or river hat too.

This hat is a great performance hat for everything. It is a little heavier than a normal swift hat, but I tend to like a heavier hat as this one is more durable. The connection point in the back is stretchy which is very comfortable. I have been running with this hat and it has become my go- to running hat. I am very picky with my hats and this OR hat ticks all the boxes of what I would consider to be a great hat.

Bought this hat for my summer vacation. I wish it came in more colors. I love it because the brim is not overly wide, as many hats are. I bought the soft dusty rose color. Its really pretty, but would love to have it in cream or teal too.

Have had 2 for a year. Love everything about them. Came back intent to buy at least one more but still no depth in color selection. Please bring in more colors including some bright colors and a classic white. color selection, sadly. Please introduce classic white and variety of bright colors. Who does n't love a great bucket hat??

Great hat……but…. Just finished a Rick Steves Ireland tour. Wore it a ton. Everyone wanted to know where I got my bucket hat. I told them, but said, don ’ t get too excited because the color selection is poor. Sadly, colors are same as when I bought mine. Many tourists were wearing various bucket hats- they are clearly popular. Sunday Afternoon should come out with many colors! Eggplant purple, a dark emerald, navy, maybe a lovely shade of sage, etc.. not pink or lavender! AND, make the hat in men ’s, too, if they haven ’ t already. My husband wants one but won ’ t buy black because it ’s the one I have. Can ’ t be twins!
