Been trying everything from trail runners to hiking boots, and always have knee pain due to meniscus surgery and metatarsal pain especially on pavement or downhill. So far I 've only hiked about 10 miles in these, but it's the first 10 miles without pain in years! Fit wise, I have low volume, long arch, c width feet with all the width at the toes. I sized my normal 11. 5D and while an 11 would have fit, the 11. 5 felt better. No issues with foot slip, no hot spots. Shoes are squishy, but return energy such that they do n't feel soft. Great for pavement and trails. Well done, Danner.

Water resistant enough to splash through some light streams, and did really well in sandy conditions. I wear a 10 in most brands( my go to running shoe brand in Brooks for reference), and these fit great with hiking socks. These are more of a lightweight boot/heavy duty running shoe than a true boot, but that is my preference. They seemed like they will hold up well over time, and I am very pleased with my purchase.

I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

I was really surprised how much I liked these. They were definitely a bit of an investment for me, but I wanted to get a pair of shoes that I could wear a little more often. I have worn these on a few light hikes on gravel with my dogs, two days in downtown chicago, 6 miles each, and i now understand what `` energy return '' means. These shoes give you some extra `` spring '' in the ball mound of your foot and feel really lightweight. I like the lacing system but I think people will overtighten these if they 're not familiar with how to use it. I have n't gotten them dirty yet- I do n't want to! They 're too pretty.

[ I was finally happy to see a wide light weight hiker from Keen. For awhile most of their light weight hikers never came in wide, so this is very welcome. The shoe overall is well build with solid traction. They are sneaker comfortable out of the box but I do wish they had slightly more arch support. The lack of arch support was solved by using a Keen foot insert, the k- 10. Tons of room the toe box too.

I usually wear Keen sandals because of their wide toe box and my previous bunions, so a tie sneaker was not my first choice. However, I am traveling to an area where I needed comfortable but waterproof shoes. These are really comfortable and I was very pleasantly surprised. Great grip on the bottom, which I need for walking on boat decks. They have a nice low profile so I do n't feel like I am wearing blocks on my feet. I bought the aluminum color- I wondered if it would be too light- colored for outdoors activities, but it's actually a little darker than beige- very nice looking. Size wise, I 'd say it tends to be a little snug, especially with socks, so I ordered a half size larger and it's perfect with socks. I have n't checked the waterproofness, but fingers crossed. Great shoe- well worth the money!

[ I bought these shoes for an event coming up in June that will require me to be on my feet for at least 8 hours. At 71 years old I really need them to preform well. As a long time Columbia customer I 'm sure that I wo n't be disappointed. I have n't put them through a full test run but the time that I have worn them I have found them to have great comfort.

[ If you 're on the fence about these shoes... buy them! They are ridiculously comfortable and fit well. I only have 4 hikes in them, but have zero complaints. It's still spring runoff here in Colorado and these shoes have kept my feet dry. Highly recommend.

Bought these Danner's mid May 2021- size 10. 5 medium Dusty Olive. Over the course of 11 days& 3000 miles, we visited Arches, Canyon Lands, Dead Horse Point, Zion, Sequoia, King's Canyon, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. These hiking boots are awesome right out of the box with no break in period required. Narrow toe box so I went up ½ size. I highly recommend these mid ankle hiking boots for any& all trail types.

The first time I tried on the Danner Trail 2650 4 ” boot, I knew this was the boot for me. Fit, height, weight, durability were perfect. No break- in needed. Only problem was availability. Apparently every other outdoor adventurer has the same opinion, because all stores were either out or low on inventory…. except Dick ’s. Not only did Dick ’s have my size in the color I wanted, they had TWO pair. Without the slightest feeling of greediness, I bought them both.

We did 2 hours of hiking in the driving, pouring rain in Scotland this week. My shoes stayed dry for more than half of it. And we ’ re totally dry and ready to wear the next morning- amazing!! They have be en fantastic waking shoes as well on our 3 week trip!

The crinkle sound is WONDERFUL. These shoes are amazing. Size 10 M. Perfect fit. No need for my Rx orthotics. They are light, comfortable and great for my walks. This is my favorite shoe. I have osteopenia and arthritis. These shoes have me feeling no pain when I do my daily walks. I personally don ’ t think they run small, and I have had issues with Merrell ’s running small or large depending on the shoe/boot. So excited to see new colors! Just ordered a second pair.
