Had the normal one full day break- in period. This is my third pair and I keep coming back for them. They are rugged and durable and last a little over a year when used roughly for hiking, trail running and slogging through the mud. I compete with these a lot because they keep the water out( unless I go in the streams) and they hold up really well. The soles start to get thinner after 1. 5 years but I have n't found any others that hold up any better and still stay together like these Moab 3's.

Most comfortable boots I 've ever owned. When I first put these on in the store, I had to run a couple laps up and down the isles, simply because they were so comfortable. Better than any running shoe I 've used. I bought these last year for a 9 day canoe camping trip in the Canadian wilderness, and these puppies kept up. I 've continued to use them for hiking, climbing, urbex, and rucking. Still no complaints. Do not buy these if you plan on keeping your feet dry. It's simply not what they 're made for. Unless you 're walking through water where your boot is fully submerged, I would n't go for these if you 're only walking through deep puddles or shallow water, as your socks will get wet. The whole purpose of this shoe is to drain quickly and dry quickly. Very rarely do you get excited to use a pair of boots, but these will get you excited to go out and play. Not endorsed, just love my boots. Its a shame they 're being discontinued.

Seem to be waterproof and they are very comfortable. They do not squeak like my last pair of On so that is a big plug! Able to wear them traveling all day and be comfortable but they do make my feet sweat a lot. The green color is nice but impossible to keep clean. I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

I want to start by saying that I have been a loyal follower and buyer of Salomon boots for as long as I can remember. For at least the past ten years, I have worn them every single day. I replace my boots annually—not because they wear out or break down, but simply because I love the feel of new boots. In fact, I still have all of my previous pairs, except my very first ones( which I should have kept as well). Each pair continues to serve me in different ways. When I first purchase a new pair, they become my work boots, while the older ones transition into hiking boots, allowing them time to break in naturally. After about six months, I begin using the newer boots for hiking, always carrying an extra pair in my pack in case I need to swap them out—usually due to an issue like water getting inside. Let me emphasize that under normal conditions, these boots do not get wet inside. However, if fully submerged underwater—which I have done on several occasions—they will absorb moisture. When this happens, I hang the wet boot on the outside of my pack to dry while I continue my journey. I can confidently say that Salomon makes outstanding boots. They have been an essential part of my adventures, and I highly recommend them. Great boots, great company, and great experiences with Salomon!

Where did I take my new shoes? First trip is to Portugal, including beaches, cobblestone streets, hiking on gravel and stone paths. And yes, a bit of water to test the waterproof claim. I love these Merrells. They are sturdy, stable and feel like a running shoe. This is my 3rd pair. I have these also in a wide and is a low quarter version. I use them for hiking, dog walking in the rain and snow and walking around our land. I have used them in pouring rain and my feet stayed dry. I dont think they are sturdy enough for heavy backpacking but for a light day pack, no problem. Size wise I usually wear a 9. 5 in running and training shoes and I ordered a 10 in these and they were good. I prefer the wide version though as it gives me just a bit more toe box room, not necessarily extra width but roomier. I am hoping these will break in enough to be as comfortable as the wider version. But a great comfortable boot overall.

This is my forth pair of these shoes. I wear them every day( whether I 'm going hiking or going to work) and they me last 4- 5 years. I like them because they 're very comfortable and the GORE- TEX keeps my feet dry. They also get a great grip on the trail and protect my feet from all manner of trail hazards. On the negative side, the sole separates from the shoe after a few years. It ’s possible to glue the sole back on, but for what these cost, the soles shouldn ’ t come unglued.

A lot of Danner boots/shoes in Regular Width, have become to narrow and the wide width, is simply to wide for me. Typical Danner quality here with just a day of Air travel and walking through airports to get a good break in. They are a stable low top with very little side to side rolling. First, I ’ d like to share how amazing Vasque ’s customer service is. I initially purchased a differed boot that wasn ’ t hardy enough for the type of hiking I do- Vasque allowed me to return the boot immediately! So instead of going back to the brand I was with before( Scarpa) I decided to stick with Vasque and purchased this boot with my refund money. I am so glad I did. These boots really hold up with all the things the white mtns throw at you with little break in needed. I did need to loosely lace the boots and insert a toe box stretcher for my own needs but the boot has now confirmed to my foot. I fully submerged both feet by mistake several times. My feet were kept dry and warm. I felt my ankles were supported and my boots got more comfortable as my hike went on. I think I used the first 10 miles of the boot to break it in- and I just completed a 20 mile, 4 4000k peak hike in the whites. Zero blisters or hot points on my feet. Thank you vasque!!!

I use the 10 '' insulated for winter hiking and snowshoeing, the low for rocky terrain in warm weather, and have been running a set of Premium Mids for fall hiking. These things are incredibly well constructed, very supportive, totally waterproof, and super comfortable. With my current mids having put in a long service life, including plenty of winter wear, I was due for a new set. They 've made some thoughtful improvements to the tongue and lace hooks, but everything else that I love about the shoes remains intact. The factory insoles are great, but I do swap them out for a set of Superfeet as a personal preference. Despite a lack of insulation and good breathability, there is enough material and protection to make these a bit stifling in warm weather. The added benefit is that they are great during chilly hikes in late fall and make great everyday shoes for winter. As has been my experience with Oboz, I did bump up a half size and it fits perfectly.

[... that I do n't take out of the driveway. My old Oboz hiking boots are kind of muddy and worn but are still a little too comfortable to switch out with my new Oboz Bridger hiking boots. Maybe when I get rid of the old Wagoneer...

[ This is my second pair of Oboz Boots, having purchased and used the Yellowstone II several years ago and wearing them on numerous hikes and camping trips. I ’ m still breaking them in, but I am very happy with them so far. The color( Sahara) doesn ’ t look at all like the pictures online and they are actually much more olive green in reality. Personally I like the actual color even better than the online pics. Comfort was fairly good out of the box…there is a spot on the outside of the left boot that can get uncomfortable after a full day of wear, but I ’ m guessing this will work out with more break in since they are leather. Overall they feel very well made and look great. Weight feels good for the level of protection and durability offered. I can ’ t wait to get them out on the trails!
