This is my 3rd pair of GTS 23, and I really enjoy them. The balance between lightweight and adequate cushioning is ideal for me. I would suggest going up a half size over what you would normally choose at `` static '' fitment. I do wish the soles were more durable, but otherwise they are exceptional.

I 'm not a runner. I 'm a 64 year old woman who has spent mostly all of her work hours on her feet, thus fallen arches, podiatrist visits, custom orthotics. Even though my current occupation offers anti- fatigue mats, serious and constant foot pain is real. Brooks Glycerin GTS 22 is the ultimate comfort athletic shoe! Generous padding in the soles, inside the heel and the GTS offers a roomier toe box. These shoes feel like Heaven for your feet. Ladies who do not like wearing socks will love the inside lining as much as I do, although I prefer socks. Quality materials throughout ans excellent workmanship. Feels good to be able to come back to Brooks as I need a roomy toe box and these deliver without being sloppy.

This is my perfect shoe. I usually wear a 10W women's, but ordered a 10 Double Wide this time based on a prior review that this particular model was narrower than before. I did not find that to be the case, and will probably buy a 10W next time. Even so, my 10 Double Wide is extremely comfortable and I love it, too. My orthotics fit into this shoe, which is a necessity now. I just wear thicker socks with this shoe. My primary use of this shoe is for walking and speed walking training. I have 4 other Brooks shoes in my daily rotation and I no longer wear any shoe other than Brooks.
