Love the shoes as I buy multiples of the Ghost models. Because of feet issues and several surgeries I have issues finding shoes to wear that are comfortable and more specific in a 4E wide. The Ghost models are my go to. Very comfortable and all around fantastic. Only cons: very expensive and the the insoles/inserts wear out quickly at the balls of my feet due to the hotspots on my foot that are unique to me. I ca n't run but I walk in them every day putting some mileage on them. The rest of the shoe seems to hold up just fine but the insoles and finding replacements are a bit tough as they do n't sell them separately. Again 4E width a bit hard to find for a smaller percentage of your average user. Great for comfort, day to day walking around, and working out. Would have loved these when I used to run long distances.

Comfort is outstanding. Stability is great. Padding is just right. I appreciate the one piece rubber tread. I am fairly tough on shoes. A marathon a week give or take. One piece rubber tread always wears better than the current trend of contact patches. I burn through the edges and into the padding in just a few weeks with my running and walking style. The one piece allows the force of the step to transfer evenly without abrading and damaging the cushioning. I had a pair of these before this purchase and is the reason I purchased another pair. I love the Ghost 16 GTX because they keep my feet dry at work. My shoes can be wet a good portion of my work day so I do n't want wet feet as well. Brooks has finally made the Ghost GTX more comfortable and a little wider, if there was a wide version then I could order women 's shoes instead of men 's. I walk from 4 to 8 miles or more a day at work and I feel that these broke down quicker then the Ghost 15 GTX. I felt that the front part of my foot did n't have the support after 3 months. I like having dry and comfortable feet so I will continue to purchase them.

In all honesty... I do not run... unless being chased... or the quick sprint to catch my kids. But I walk, hike, ruck,& I am brutal on my feet/shoes with a- lot of stop& go in my work. I average 6- 10 miles a day& for the first time in a while my feet did not scream at the end of 3 straight days trying these, great right out of the box( really low profile socks bunch up in the back a bit) They do work really well with my custom orthotics, clean easy, breath, do not really pick up gravel, and have great grip and balance. I was so happy with these shoes, I purchased another pair in a different color. The comfort level is beyond any previous shoes I have worn. Plus, I can wear them for a much longer period of time without any comfort issues. I did find that I had to purchase them in a 1/2 size larger..... which solved any tightness in the toes that I had when I purchased my normal sizing.

For perspective, I am a 77 year old ex- athlete who now just walks 3- 5 miles per day for my fitness. 3 things keep me wearing Brooks shoes. First, they fit my foot shape perfectly: length, width, and arch location. Second, they feel impact- free. My heel strikes the pavement with no jarring or wobbling and then `` rolls '' smoothly through the stride. Third, I walk with my right foot turned out about 15 degrees more than my left. Without me focusing on it, Brooks shoes straighten my stride reducing fatigue on the inside of my right knee. Thank you, Brooks.

But with the beast gts, they do not need the superfeet insert. This saves their knees, ankles and money for expensive shoe inserts. My running journey started March of 2024. 2 years before this mt doctor suggested I take my heart fort a brisk walk. The first year it was once a week and the second year twice a week. The third year they suggested 3 times a week and that ’s when I felt that I might be able to run. The 1st 2 weeks weren ’ t pretty as I ’ d run 100 ’ and walk a 100 ’ feet for 2 miles. Then I bought a pair of the Ghost 16 ’s and never looked back. I prefer to run at the colder temperatures between 20F and- 5F. Any of the shoes in the Brooks lineup will be a great shoe. Just ask a lot of questions to make sure you get the ones that are comfortable for you. Someday hopefully I ’ ll be able to get a pair of the Elite 4 shoes and take them out for a run. Pun intended. The Hyperion Max 2 are amazing shoes. I usually run in either Hyperions{ 1st generation and 2nd) or Adrenaline GTS 24, 2 pair) for recovery runs. I have an arsenal of Brooks shoes, 12 pairs to be exact. I enjoy everything about the Brooks shoes and won ’ t run in any other shoes.

I was on the fence of buying trail shoes or hiking boots for my Yellowstone and Grand Tetons trip. I am so glad I chose the Cascadia. We hiked 50 miles of trails. Bunsen peak, Mt Washburn( 95% snow on trail), Signal Mtn, Cascade Canyon, and a few others. The lugs on the shoes had terrific grip, the stiffness/responsiveness of the shoe helped pushing off when going uphill. Even in the snow they stayed dry! No gaiters or anything. Would definitely recommend them for hiking, likely great for running too.

They run small and narrow, but I was able to find a size that fits. I wish they were slip resistant. I keep a couple of pairs of Ghosts for years because they keep the same fit and comfort/grip every iteration. I keep a couple of pairs because they are my go to shoes in wet weather to walk the dog over mud and other wet terrain and alternate with one pair in use and the other drying out that day. I wear wool socks so even in cold wet weather I am okay. This new weatherized version helps even more because the fabric resists the wetness more. This is now my only Brooks shoe because unfortunately my favorite for most of my ventures is the Glycerin and the way the heel has changed on the 22 over previous versions slips and does not provide me a secure fit. Sad because the Ghost for wet and muddy and the Glycerin for dry and concrete was a fantastic combination until now. I will stick with the Ghost for wet conditions and hope Brooks does not ruin the Ghost design. A great selling point for the Ghost has been in all iterations so far, if one version fits and is suitable, the next version will not be radically changed and is still a good fit. Radical change is not always a good thing. So, yes, the weatherized change and the new sole are fantastic. And hooray the fit has not changed on the Ghost. The only minor convenience for me is that it is slightly hotter than the regular Ghost because of the beefier weatherization in warm weather. In cooler weather that is a big plus.

[ This is an excellent upgrade to the Ghost line. I have owned several recent Ghosts, including the 16, the new model is better all around. Step in feel is fantastic, and when running, the G17 cradles my foot in a way that the earlier 12mm drop models did not. I like the 16, with the upgraded midsole rubber it was a big improvement over the G13s that I had earlier used. The G17 takes the improvements further. The lower 10mm drop and higher forefoot stack really completes the shoe in my view. I was a heel striker in the earlier models, in the G17 I am more midfoot striking. I have so far done a 10km and 15km run and I find them comfortable at mid to tempo paces. Very well built with obvious durability particularly in the outsole. My paird a size 12 in 2E wide and they have the characteristic Brooks fit. This shoe( 335gm) is heavier than the G16( 312gm- normal width), and are close in weight to my Glycerin 22s( 337gm- normal width). With the drop on both shoes now at 10mm( until the Glycerin 23 goes to 8mm), there are some similarities. The Glycerin 22 has a more luxuriant ride with its better DNA Tuned rubber and wider base. I enjoy running in the Ghost 17 and am pleased to add to my rotation. FWIW- I am 6ft/182cm tall, 83kg/183lbs, heel to midfoot striker, neutral runner.

This is my fourth pair of Launch shoes. Albeit, two of the previous pairs were Launch 9. If it is n't broke, why get the newer model? I was apprehensive moving up to this model, but well into 50 miles of running, these shoes perform great. Sturdy and fast, with ample cushioning, but not too much.

I have been wearing Hokas for years because of the need for support, and I liked the rocker sole. I have had to quit running, however, because of joint degradation, and needed a flatter shoe that still provided good support. I needed a shoe that I could lift weights in, so it needs to be flat enough to feel the floor; and yet allow me to knock around, take long walks with the dogs. An all- around sneaker. So I took a chance on the Revel 7, based on the configurator and its recommendations. I have been wearing them for about 3 weeks, and they are working out pretty well. My only concern, and it 's a rather small one, is that I feel the seam of the sneaker on the outside corner of my great toe in each shoe. I take some long hill walks with the dogs, and that seam has not been an issue, has n't created blisters or ongoing discomfort. I am just fussy, is all. I am interested to see how the shoe wears in the next few months. If it wears well, I will be back for sure. The price is right, and it 's kind of a relief wearing a lighter shoe with good support after years of the heavier Hoka.
