Our family has several stoves ranging in size for backpacking and kayaking to car camping to portable cooking for large crowds. This single burner is great by itself or in combo with a two burner or another single burner for weekend camping. You save the room on your picnic table and the power of this stove boils water in a jiffy for coffee and cooks up breakfast for six in a jiffy using the single burner griddle( sold separately) on medium low heat. We very rarely use our table top stoves anymore- the quality at 30k BTU output more than makes up for the added bulk if you have room. Get yourself a two burner with griddle and bbq box and save this one for pans and coffee making on an open flame so you do n't have to swap out accessories. You 'll be able to cook for the entire camp! We have a dedicated 5lb tank for this and it will last a week with regular cooking. I do n't give out five stars easily- this unit earns every single one.

Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I ’ m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it ’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn ’ t fold down but that ’s okay I don ’ t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it ’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that ’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I ’ m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I ’ m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

I like the fact that when you turn it on low, the temperature stays low as opposed to other brands that just keep getting hotter the longer it goes. Very even heating all across the surface. Pro 14 two burner cooktop Went to our inaugural Halloween bike ride and one of the guys pulled out a older version of the Pro 14 two burner cooktop and griddle. I could n't believe how easily it setup, cleaned up and made a ton of food for every that came that day. It worked so well that my wife and I ordered one immediately to use on our own trips, gatherings and just some Sunday morning cookout fun. We also purchased the two burner griddle and griddle carrying bags for both the stove and griddle, so nice to keep everything neat and sorted. I 've only used it a couple of times so far but one thing i really noticed was how nice the burner control is, you can turn it down all the way and not worry about the burner flaming out. My only complaint which is minor is that the flip out red lid covers do n't sit completely flat like my friends did. Perhaps they will wear in with a bit more use.

I purchased the Everest 2X based on feedback from other trip leaders in my non profit group. This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. So far so good. I looked long& hard for something to help with campsite organization. We&# x27; re a camping family that takes meal prep seriously- we don&# x27; t settle for hotdogs and canned bbq beans alone- not knocking hotdogs, but we do enjoy a good meal at camp. Along with that comes a chaotic camp kitchen. I&# x27; d read enough positive reviews on the slim- fold to sway me to pick one up. We used it over a 4- day 4th of July camping trip to put it through its paces. I&# x27; m quite happy with it- it upgraded my kitchen storage game quite a bit. I&# x27; m impressed by the build quality and expect it&# x27; ll last a good number of years. Quite steady. If it had been a bit deeper it might be sturdier, but once it has a few heavy items on top, it&# x27;s pretty steady on flat/even ground. And that&# x27; d be a trade- off. I&# x27; d r recommend it to a fried. While I give it 5 stars, I&# x27; d note two things: 1) addition of a hangable mesh under the main surface would expand dish drying surface greatly, and 2) keep in mind that the aluminum main surface is a little slippery- we use a metal Camp Chef stove and it was a little slippery. I&# x27; m going to look for a 16x24 '' peice of thin rubber to create a friction layer between them so it doesn&# x27; t slip around.

I ’ ve had my griddle for a year and used about twice a month and my top has absolutely no deterioration or excessive wear. The griddle has never seen any metal cooking utensils or abrasive cleaning products or tools. I use only Pit Boss utensils for the griddle and clean with Dawn soap, water and the Pit Boss scrub pad( recommended by Pit Boss). Another tip would be to not use oil( as you would with a steel grill). I use butter and only enough to flavor. My experience is better than most reviews. You can ’ t treat this griddle like a steel top.

I bought a laser heat gauge to fine tune the exact heat I want, and it works great. The control knobs maintain the exact heat I want. Clean- up is the best part of this griddle. Start to finish less than 10 minutes, including re- oil for next use. The steaks maintain the juice inside, unlike my old grill, where the juice fell through the grills. The way that it folds out to be almost double the size so you have room to set things down, it's like an outdoor kitchen! The grease trap has been a cleaning life saver. We also cooked pancakes on it and they were SO good. Also being able to just cook all of the pancakes at one time made for such an easy breakfast! I love that you can adjust the burners to cook multiple things, or not waste propane if you only need half the grill on. It's the best.

[ This griddle was super simple to setup, but I do wish there was some kind of direction on what to do when you first open it especially how to coat it and make it non- stick. I also would have appreciated some sort of fun little recipe guide to get going. At first, the only thing I could think to make was pancakes... but after scouring the internet for some, we have used this for so many things. One thing I would fix though is the spot that you put the grease/mess into. Mine seems like it is a little on the crooked side, but everything looks even when you have it removed from the griddle.

I use this heater with a large 4 man shanty and it keeps it heated. First trip out this year was in sub- zero weather and we stayed warm all day long. One small tank of propane lasts about 3- 4 hrs on low setting. The only time I ’ ve used medium setting is to cook and have never used the high setting. I 'm pretty happy with this stove. It fits nicely inside my kettle, works well for larger pans( even up to 8 inches), and get's nice and hot. I paired it with stabilizer legs as with the large canisters it can get quite tall. The one downside is having to bring a separate igniter.

In my opinion this is the best Coleman Stove. The clicking igniter is more durable than the push button type and it does n't move the whole stove when trying to lite- up. The wind deflectors are simple and perform as advertised, the grate is durable and provides adequate support. I expect to have 50 year life with this stove in which it will outlast me. We are very happy with our purchase of the Ignite Plus Camp Stove. We just got back from a 2 week trip and used it almost every day. It fits our larger pans with ease, lights easily and has fantastic burner range from low to high. It is also very easy to clean and I love the adjustable feet to level the stove on sloped tables. It is very close to the same closed size as our old Coleman stove but doesn ’ t have the size limitations for our griddle or large pans. The only negative I can say is that the latches don ’ t hold the cover tightly closed.
