[ Currently backpacking in Switzerland and this bag is great! I have all of my necessities for travel, as well as work accommodation in one spot safely on my back. The Basin 36 is durable, straps tightly, and best of all it will not break your bank! The additional pockets on the hip straps are even more clutch! Thanks NF!

It's a great pack for a day trip. Though some of my hikes are long days, this can carry the essentials I need but is light and versatile. Two water bottle pouches on the outside are great. Can be combined with a Fanny pack or other items.

Love the color. Sturdy pack that is perfect for a day hike.

[ This thing is awesome! Super simple and light weight. Pretty water resistant as well. I use it as my go to and have been caught in some pretty good rain storms and it kept everything dry. The back pad does n't hold too much heat and the taller more narrow shape of the pack does n't feel like you have a bunch of stuff. I 've used it for hikes, weekend trips and as day to day bag. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a very good, very simple bag. It has a small outside pocket on the top and main compartment. I have used it for a few hikes and a few 20+ mile runs with a bladder inside( it does have a loop to keep the bladder upright). Good bag for the money.

I 've used this for mountain runs and sport climbing. It took me a while to discover the hose pass- through for the hydration bladder. The pack is mostly one giant space which has plusses and minuses. I wish it had another zippered pouch on the outside for snacks. I 've kept them in the outer stretch pockets which works well enough I guess.

[ Excellent service. Thank you so much. Your people are such a joy to work with. However the product zipper has a latent defect that has not been corrected. The zipper doesn ’ t hold up. Only lasts about a year then the cloth part of zipper goes bad. I ’ ve returned daylite many times. While I appreciate the all might guarantee, it ’s still a hassle to continue this process. But, I ’ m with Osprey. Just letting you know because you asked. All the best. J heal.

[ Compact very good looking hiking/snowboarding bag that have a rain cover attached with nylon cord hidden in a small pocket. Golden and burgundy colors match very nicely and it is very pleasant to look. I can fit everything I need for a day trip like clothing, food, external charger, gloves and etc. It looks very aerodynamic hanging on a back whilst curving snowy slopes. It can be also used for a trail runs as it has hydration pack compartment and hole for a pipe. material looks water repellent and back is covered with mesh and sturdy frame. Overall very versatile mast to have small pack for day adventures.

[ The quality when I first looked at it impressed me. The zippers and pulls are solid. The straps are the quality I would find in one of your larger packs. [ Great pack. Plenty of room, well made and light weight. This is my 3rd Talon 22 pack. You might be asking why I have needed to buy a 3rd. The short answer is that I loved my first pack, but I wanted a second in a different color. Then I bought the 2nd. Unfortunately both the 1st and the 2nd Talon 22 packs where destroyed when my house burned in the Palisades Fire. Short answer, I am sold on the Talon 22.

I purchased this backpack three months ago and let me just say it is the best purchase I have ever made regarding backpacks! It is very practical for both outdoor usage and every day office usage. I travel quite a bit for work and I love going outdoors so I ’ m able to test this backpack in all settings. It ’s light but durable and it has the perfect amount of storage space and pockets. This pack surprised me on the upside. For my daily needs, I only need 16 liters, but I carry a 13 '' laptop and want good organization. This pack delivers. It's a very good design and great materials. Well thought out internal organization. My only gripe is the fabric used for the top quick access pocket feels like cheap sweatshirt material. It wo n't scratch sunglasses, but I 'd prefer something a little nicer. That said, I give this pack a thumbs up.

Emily
It is exactly what I was looking for in an everyday pack that I can also use for day hikes. The pockets are great, the straps are all adjustable and there even a whistle on the chest strap. Lots of options for attachment of items such as poles on the exterior of the pack. I love the small fleece pocket at the top of the bag. The outer pocket is great for putting wet or smelly items in. The water bottle pockets can be a bit of squeeze if you have a full pack for a Nalgene but it still fits. There is also a hole for a hydration bladder to fit through. Overall great pack for everyday life and day adventures! Love it.

Bought this pack a few months ago as a dayhike/laptop bag. Works great for both. My only disappointment was the trekking pole loops, which FUNCTION, but I typically carry them in one of the side stretch pockets as the bungees are not especially robust. Do not expect to be able to carry more than a rain jacket, down jacket, and a few essentials.

As a smaller sized gal, I 've struggled with daypacks feeling too big and bulky. The 18L was my goldilocks and is such a great size for a casual hike or wandering around town! There are not a lot of pockets, but I actually prefer a simple pack. My favorite part of the pack is the chest and hip straps that make the bag easily adjustable.

AllisonL
This pack is the perfect trail companion! I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

[ I just used this pack for a week of day hikes( 10 to 14 miles each day). I could not be happier with it. I have the small size, and it fits my 4'11 '' torso well. The hip belt sits properly, and the weight balances nicely. I was able to comfortably carry more weight than I expected, and I felt stable going up and down hills. It was great- I trekked along without having to think abut my pack. My favorite part of this pack is the shoulder straps. They are much softer and more flexible than other packs I tried, while still getting the job done. They adjust easily. They 're shaped nicely and do n't dig anywhere! The shoulder straps are often miserable for me with my small shoulders, and these are a dream. The cell phone pocket on the front of one strap is genuis, and I put my sunscreen in a corresponding pocket on the other shoulder strap. And I 'm a huge fan of the bungee system on the back- very handy. Try out this pack. Seriously!

I used this pack on a winter 7 miles, 3, 200' elevation hike breaking trail most of the way. I packed from the bottom up: belay parka in a compression sack, burly goretex shell jacket, 2 one liter nalgene bottles, extra gloves, med/ emergency kit( about 1L in size), 2, 500 calories of snacks, nanopuff jacket. Two headlamps and keys in the internal zip pocket, map and microspikes in the external zip pocket. Two 16oz waterbottles in each side pocket for 3L total, neither side waterbottle fell out while butt sliding down the trail. Samsung Galaxy S22 fit nicely in either chest pocket, chapstick in the elastic pockets. 25 '' snowshoes on the S/M pack were easy to put on a take off with a sling. I did n't use the zip pocket next to the waterbottle holder but it definitely seems like it could be useful. Used the double sternum strap( very comfortable!) to clip my gloves to the bottom and tuck them under the top so no snow fell in. I carried the pack around for 15 minutes with 30lbs of rice and beans in the back, it carries the weight well but you can feel items through the back if you do n't pack right. No soreness the day after hiking. I plan to take this out on longer day hikes- presidential range, great range where I might want extra gear but do n't want a 40+L pack. No signs of wear after a single hike getting snagged by trees, seems like it will be durable. Sizing: I typically wear my packs at 18 '' torso, the S/M mens is a perfect fit, I had about 1 '' extra waistband with a 28 '' waist. I bought the Deuter SpeedLite 28 womens but it was terribly tiny all over, this is everything I wanted that pack to be and better. Overall: Very well organized, lots of attachment points, lightweight, comfortable, and moves well with the wearer. Well worth the price.

[ This pack was a long day hike upgrade for me and I chose it for 2 reasons. First was the Airspeed suspension which definitely keeps your back cool. Second was longer torso length. ` I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who has n't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7- 8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area- a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. Never had to use the internal rainfly, but that was definitely a selling point for me. Highly recommend!

Amanda L.
[ I love this pack. I bought it to replace an older osprey pack that I completely wore out. I love the rigid stays on this backpack so that it sits upright when you put it on the ground and the air pocket helps keep it much cooler, a total bonus when you 're hiking in the hot and humid Smokies.

This little pack has been the perfect travel companion. I like to 'carry on' travel as often as possible- even a two week long trip to the UK and Ireland. As I can never truly get away from work my second bag has to be my computer bag holding a substantial amount of work related items. As such its hard to repurpose as a day pack. For me this leaves out the option of a day pack once on the ground. Enter the In and Out. It truly packs down small and takes up little room in my computer bag and once at my destination becomes an extremely effective day pack for touring about, shopping, hiking and going to the beach. It also worked great as an on- slope pack when on a ski trip last winter. This has been a 'go- to' standard for my traveling kit. Highly recommended.

I bought this pack a little over a month ago to be a low profile pack that I can every day carry to work either in my truck where it sits in my passenger seat or when I take the train into work. It ’s great, well made, handsome and fits my yeti coffee cup in the side pocket perfectly and very securely. If the only thing it did was carry my coffee, I ’ d be happy, but it has pockets for my ever expanding gear that I carry and the pack shapes nicely with the small dry bag that I keep inside it. The quality of workmanship and design details are superb and even though it ’s a humble pack compared to the rest of Mystery Ranch ’s packs, it ’s a contender! I was super stoked that I got this pack just a few days after ordering it and I haven ’ t left home without it ever since. Brilliantly done Mystery Ranch! Oh yeah, I also use it as a stuff sack/organizer inside my MR Blitz 30 when out on a ruck in the Cascade Mountains.

just got back from a week of long hikes, bikes& climbs& I had one of these strapped on for all of it. I 've never had good experiences with packable day bags but I 'm glad I gave this one a shot because it was excellent! super comfortable all day& weighs basically nothing. Comfortable even with 2L of water& some gear! also of course it seems to be indestructible

Let me tell you, folks, they don ’ t want you to know about the Mystery Ranch In and Out 19. I ’ m talking government- level secrecy. I ’ m talking Roswell, Area 51, men- in- black- staring- at- you- from- the- corner- of- the- parking- lot levels of conspiracy. But guess what? I ’ ve got the truth right here, strapped to my back, and it ’s lightweight, packable, and potentially from another dimension. The Mystery Ranch In and Out 19 doesn ’ t just carry your gear—it carries the burden of knowledge that we ’ re not alone. This 19- liter wonder was clearly designed by extraterrestrials, likely reverse- engineered from UFO wreckage they found near a New Mexico desert. I mean, how else can you explain its otherworldly design and functionality? Exhibit A: The material is lightweight but suspiciously durable. It ’s almost like they blended carbon nanotubes with alien alloys, then wrapped it in something soft to the touch but strong enough to fend off intergalactic threats( or at least some thorny brush on a hike). No mere earthbound polymer could achieve this. I ’ ve seen classified files about “ advanced textiles, ” but nothing like this. Exhibit B: It packs into itself! Yeah, that ’s right. You ’ re telling me this thing can fold down smaller than my government- issued UFO tracker? Tell me that ’s normal. It ’s like it knows when I need it. One second it's a full- on hiking pack, the next it vanishes into thin air, tucked away in my glovebox like some sort of interdimensional artifact. It ’s compact, inconspicuous, and probably has a secret compartment to hold alien documents or, you know, snacks. Exhibit C: The breathability. Who thought of this? Who decided, “ Hey, let ’s make the straps so light that you barely feel them ”? It ’s like the pack was designed for those extra- terrestrial beings who travel faster than light and don ’ t need sweaty backs weighing them down during long- distance abductions. Forget NASA. This is the real space- age technology. Exhibit D: The 19 liters. Nineteen liters is exactly what you need to carry provisions for an extended alien stakeout. I checked the math. You could carry binoculars, a flask, some tinfoil hats, a radar detector, and still have room for an X- Files box set in there. It ’s almost like the designers knew what we ’ d be up to. Let ’s talk pockets. The stretchy side pocket—definitely designed for holding alien energy crystals, but they also fit a water bottle. Coincidence? I think not. And the zippered top pocket? Perfect size for your intergalactic passport or, you know, an energy bar if you ’ re on a terrestrial hike. I was on a “ recon mission ”( aka hiking in the woods, totally normal), and the pack just molded to me. No bouncing, no shifting. Almost like it was communicating with my back. Are we looking at advanced alien ergonomics? Almost definitely. Conclusion: The Mystery Ranch In and Out 19 backpack is the smoking gun of outdoor gear. Sure, it looks like just another backpack—that ’s what they want you to think. But for those in the know, it ’s a clear sign that they ’ re out there, sharing their technology with us, one ultralight, ultra- packable backpack at a time. In summary, if you 're looking for a pack that combines cutting- edge tech with probable alien origins, look no further. Just be careful. I ’ m pretty sure the moment I bought it, a black SUV started following me. Coincidence? I ’ ll let you decide.

My wife and I wanted something for an upcoming trip to Disney world to put our rain jackets, water and snacks in. This pack was perfect, it folds up small enough to put in our luggage and was comfortable enough to wear all day every day. There is plenty of storage for day trips. We got the blaze orange one so it was easier to find each other in the crowds of people. Also I will be using it on my upcoming scouting trips for hunting season! Perfect all around bag.

This is a great pack. I am a big guy( 6 ’ 2 ”, 275) so I do wish I would have gone with the Stout 70 plus, but it is still a great pack. Sits on the back well with plenty of adjustments available. Took some time to get dialed in, but once I did, it was very comfortable.

Much more comfortable for larger guys. Looks to be of good quality. Will put it to the test with some long hikes this spring.

This is one of Gregory's basic packs, essentially a Baltoro with fewer bells and whistles. I needed a 70 liter pack for a 12 day Philmont Trek, and it survived 2 years of shakedown hikes, and 2 more years of `` regular '' weekend camping use. Works well, and great bang for the buck if you are patient and watch for sales.

Bought this pack for my husband for our upcoming first backpacking trip, because he is a big dude and the options for him were limited. As soon as he got this pack on, we were both so happy at the fit, the quality, the look, and just all the thought that went into this design. It was super nice being able to just buy a pack that actually fits, without having to worry about replacing the hip belt or shoulder pads. We have n't backpacked with it yet, but we have done some long day hikes with all our gear and it seems like a quality pack that will hold up well and we just could not be happier. Also love that it comes with a rain cover, the hip belt pockets are a very good size, and the brain is nice and roomy!

I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13- 15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground- good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. One of your sales people on the phone recommended it after I tried several other models and sizes. Could n't be happier. One of the zippers broke before my trip but it was n't key. I will call regarding this. Otherwise- highly recommend this pack. So light, so comfy, so kind to my body after a long haul. Thank you.

This is a great pack, very light and versatile. Comes with a nice rain cover that packs easily into the front pocket. The gray color is very cool and keeps the contents of the pack cool on hot sunny trails. I really liked the main front zipper to access what I needed quickly from the pack.

This is such a cool camping/hiking backpack, it has more pockets than I 'd know what to do with. There is a little pocket at the bottom that holds a waterproof cover. It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. I like that the main compartment can unzip to fit a sleeping bag or other bulky items. I have n't used it yet for hiking but it will be great for our next camping trip!

This bag is a great size and style. It seems to be good quality. Has multiple storage places. The padding on the belt makes it comfortable to wear. Will for sure fit all your hiking/exploring necessities.

The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

[ I completed the Tour Du Mont Blanc with the pack, loaded out at 43LBS with Gregory's 3D hydro 2L reservoir. This pack is SO COMFORTABLE, well vented and has just the right access. The water bottle holder is great. No taking off the pack to get your 0. 5L Nalgene. Good amount of external storage. On a long hike like the TMB where you are on the trail for 6- 7 hours every day, comfort is king and this pack delivered. A couple minor complaints: No Rain Fly. For the price point, others provide it, but Gregory's standard rain fly fit perfect and did the job on the one day it was required. The zippers on the hipbelt pockets are a little frustrating to operate one- handed. I 'm a larger, sweaty guy that needed a trampoline style pack for good ventilation on hot summer days. This pack delivered. I just ca n't recommend it enough.

I received this pack 2 days before embarking on a 150 mile trek through the backcountry of Yellowstone NP. This pack more than provided for all of my needs. Extremely comfortable, and extremely durable. I really put this pack through the the ringer, adding to my adventure with miles through Grand Teton NP and Badlands NP. This pack accommodated all of the various needs. Will be once again strapping up with this pack this weekend for an Appalachian Trail section hike, and a thru hike of the Foothills Trail.

I got this pack about 3 weeks ago and I have tested it out several times. It is a very simple and easy- to- use pack with great features and comfort. It is easy to adjust the torso length and various straps, and all of the storage compartments work well. If you are looking for something to keep you comfortable and happy on the trail this is the way to go! Definitely for longer trips where you would need a BV 500 or more gear. In the last month, this pack has been used in the Sierra's, Humbolt- Toiyabe national forest in Nevada, and Pine Valley in Utah on 2+ night backpacking trips. I have never been disappointed by anything I have used from Gregory, and this bag has been a solid piece of gear. 10/10 would recommend!

Purchased: Aug 2024 Uses: 15+ day hikes with scrambling in the eastern Sierra General: I purchased the Sportlite 30 to replace my aging, 11 year old, Deuter Speedlite 30. My preference is a balance of lightweight, volume, and comfort, and I had not seen anything comparable to my Speedlite until I saw the Osprey. Having used it for a few months, I feel I can give a run down of my impressions. Fit: I have a 16 ” torso and purchased the small which fits very well. It carries much better than my Speedlite as it stays in place on my back better and there is less play when scrambling. What I like: Stretch side panels keep items secure, as does the front stretch compression pocket. I am very pleased Osprey added 2 hip pockets and I like that one of them is a stretch mesh pocket. I ’ ve always had zippered pockets in the past, and the stretch mesh secures a snack and allows for an easier retrieval than fighting with a zipper. I wasn ’ t sure I was going to like the direct access hydration sleeve, but it has worked well. Although the shoulder straps seem thin, they are comfortable and I ’ ve had no issues with them. What could be better: The 2 stretch loops on the shoulder straps are too high. I have a carabiner attached to the lower loop and it sits on top of my shoulder and sticks out rather than hanging down. I ’ d really like to see these moved lower. The side stretch mess pockets are about an inch to high. It is very difficult to reach around to grab something, e. g., bottle of liquid fuel/electrolytes, and put it back. The front compression pocket is also a bit too high. I basically have to unclip the compression straps to grab something, e. g., gloves, hat, from the pocket. But, on the other hand, if the pocket were not as high, it might not hold as much. I 'm not sold yet on the trekking pole loops. They seem small cumbersome. When I 've had to store my poles, I stuff them in a side pocket and secure them with the top compression straps. Lastly, I prefer my key clip to be in the external pocket of the top lid. At the end of a hike, when I ’ m tired and just want to get in my car, with the clip in the external pocket, all I have to do is unzip+ unclip. The workflow to get to one ’s keys in the under the lid pocket design requires one to undo 2 compression straps( 2 clicks)+ flip the lid+ unzip the pocket+ unclip. That ’s 5 steps vs 2. Despite the above limitations, I really do like this pack, especially how it carries. It meets my requirements for being light, having a 30L volume, and being comfortable. I ’ m not sure of the durability yet.. the mesh panel on the back has already ripped.

I ’ ve used this duffle bag more than any other bag for the past couple years. Whether just throwing random stuff in it to keep things in one spot or using it as a carry on. It holds a ton and has several internal pockets on the side and two zippered pockets on the underside to the top flap. I love the bright orange color…always know where my bag is. It ’s not water proof, but I ’ ve had some light rain on it and didn ’ t have anything get wet. The bottom material is very durable and easy to wipe off. If you were to check it, the shoulder straps/handles are easy to remove, but stay secured when they are on. The cinch straps keep it compact when it ’s not fully loaded. Last weekend I used it to camp and had 3 days of cloths, sleeping mat, sleeping bag and everything I wanted inside the tent in the bag. I ’ ve also used it on the back of my motorcycle and it was easy to strap down using the molle type loops on the sides.

My wife and I each have the Cargon 40L and we each brought ours on our honeymoon to Ireland, Italy, and Greece. The bags held up incredibly well during the 2 weeks traveling across Europe and they were very comfortable to carry in both the backpack and carry handle configuration. The bag has a ton of storage and the open compartment without smaller dividers was much more usable as it didn ’ t limit us in what our usable space was. We plan on buying more in a variety of larger sizes as well for camping, hiking, and ski trips. Can not recommend this bag enough! Another great product from Mammut.

I love this duffel bag. It ’s really high quality and durable, and it has plenty of room for all of your gear. I also like that it ’s so lightweight, as sometimes on longer trips I get dangerously close to my bag being over 50 lbs and having to pay the airline lots of extra money. The other duffels I considered weighed a lot more, and I was worried that would tip me over the 50 lb mark. This bag is super light yet still has a lot of pockets and good compression, and the backpack straps make it easy to haul through the airport. Highly recommend this bag.
5
I like this bag as a carryon because you can stuff it full since it is just an open sack. No wheels, dividers or other internal parts taking up space. I noticed a significant amount more of packable space versus my standard wheeled carry on.

My son has recently outgrown his Jet18, after many many years of use and adventures. He is a tiny 11 year old, who is too tall for the Jet18, but too small for an XS adult pack. He has a 50l youth overnight pack that we love and the 38 is very similar! Like the 50l, I love that this pack is also adjustable and grows with the kid, allowing several years of use. He is currently on the middle setting( of 3 settings.) It has the top “ brain/snack pack ” that he likes and the inside is roomy enough for his 10 essentials, plus more. Osprey has changed the side pouches to have a fabric base, opposed to their previous mesh side pockets that would eventually wear out. I do wish Osprey made an adjustable back pack like this in a smaller liter. 38 liter is huge for a younger child as a daypack. He needs more than 18l( because his clothes are getting bigger and take up more space) but way less than 38l. I only have a 30l as an adult leader of the group.

As I do with all my backpacks, I put a large S- biner on it, so I can hang it, it even hooks over 40 cm thick stall doors so I do n't have to set my pack down. I also riveted thick vinyl sheeting on bottom so that it can be set down on icky bathrooms or muddy ground..... Osprey take note! Bottom of packs should have waterproof vinyl sheet!

[ This pack checks all the boxes for a midsize, all purpose, backcountry ski rig. The design is clever and useful throughout. While I was suspicious of a main compartment entry via zippers on the back pad, it proved to be both easy to use and straightforward. The basic harness is adjustable enough for several body sizes and it rode comfortably all day. I appreciate the well designed internal zipper pockets which helped organize the do- dads. A great overall ski pack. Photo is from a spring ski tour in the Snowy Range outside of Laramie, Wyoming, May 2025.

[ Finally wore out my first Soelden 32 pack out after many hundreds of days of bc skiing and hiking over several years. I looked at a lot of other packs to replace it with, but this is still the best backcountry skiing pack on the market in my opinion.

[ Perfect pack for day backcountry trips. Can fit gear, lunch, and extra layers in it. Love the pockets for shovel and probe, and helmet. Stoked to get out there and rip with this thing! Holds weight well too.

[ I love this pack. It ’s my mtb trail building pack. I can fit my sawing helmet in the little helmet spot. Which is great. Tons of room! Just enough pockets. I really dig the hip pocket. I find the quality to be super durable. Almost to a fault because the only annoying thing is sometimes the zipper on the main pouch can be a B to zip. I think it ’s because the frame and probably what you would want for a zipper there, toughness. No big really. Glad I went the osprey route!

This review is going to be non- adventure related:) I am a caregiver for my husband who is battling stage 4 cancer so when I leave the house, I need to carry syringes, bandaids, towels, hydration supplies, nausea and chemo supplies, etc. This bag has the perfect size for me to fit everything in, without having to carry multiple bags. The pockets are well thought- out as each one has a purpose. The bag is NOT heavy at all which I am so grateful for because it has a good shoulder and back support. The bag is great quality, zippers are very sturdy and overall very stylish color and design! I love how it does n't make me look frumpy when carrying it because it's not your traditional boring `` backpack ''. It's a statement for someone going through a bold adventure. Yours could be a day hike, mine is cancer care 🥰

I am head over heels in love with the bag. I can use it for a day trip( love the option for a water bladder to slide in there), as a carry on, my gym bag, or a daily work bag. I ca n't find a single thing wrong with this bag. Anyone can use this bag for so many different occasions. Such a versatile bag!

Great quality for the affordability. Pocket for a water bladder, large pocket, then a smaller zipper pocket and smaller `` snap '' pocket. Two side pockets for water bottles. Works great for day hikes and/or a personal item on flights.

My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

I 've been using my Zulu 65 for the past few months... some late summer& fall backpacking trips and winter river trip. It's one of the most comfortable packs I 've used before, and it has great pockets for side gear and wallet/phone/keys access. I 've used it for one to three day backpacking trips and it's been perfect. I plan on putting it to the test for a week trip coming up soon. Gregory just makes solid packs!

[ I am pretty impressed with this pack. I have a few very high end hunting packs and they always seem to cut off some hip circulation. With a 3 night off trial campsite this pack was fantastic! I was skeptical but this pack performed very well. I really liked the U- zip access, huge hip pockets, and the side pockets that I can grab a waterbottle from while wearing the pack. A couple of things I did n't like: those huge hip pockets left no room for a bear spray holster, there is no way for the lid to double as a separate pack for little jaunts from camp, and the hip belt was maxed tight on my 34 '' waist in the Med/LG frame choice. I could get the waist belt tight enough but if I stopped eating cookies...

[ I haven ’ t used it on a hike yet, but I must say I really like this pack. It seems to be toe perfect size for what I need. I hope to get out on a wi get hike with it soon!

[ My new Kestrel 38 is a replacement for my old Kestrel 38, which I thoroughly wore out, trekking through the Himalayas, Andes, Pyrenees and here at home in the North Cascades. The pack fits perfectly and carries comfortably, not to mention how good looking it is.

I originally bought this pack to walk the Camino de Santiago France, 500 miles. But, it was too tall to use as a carry on bag on the airline. I did train with it and walked a lot of miles through mountains, etc.. Very comfortable and well designed. Everything functions well.

I ’ ve taken this backpack to two different 30 day trips. And I have been through every single situation, terrain( minus snow), 10+ flights( a few made made check in bag) camped, hiked, walked through beaches, visited hostels. Hours in airports and this backpack is A beast. I stuff the heck out of this bag. It packs like a 50L. The top most pocket is so big. Can fit a toiletry bag and more. Still looks new, quality is superb. Passport fits perfectly in hip pockets and snacks and earbud case. Very light and comfortable. My bag was roughly 25- 40 pounds at all times. Perfect for long trips( 10+ days)

Great overall ride and quality. Bought for the Kalalau trail hike in Kuaui, held everything we needed and has great organization. The straps and suspension system worked well and it distributed the weight evenly. This is a great pack for entry level backpackers or more advanced backpackers, big enough to carry all comfort items you would want for a 2- 3 day trip. Hip pads were big enough for cell phones and other items which was handy.

This backpack has a ton of extras on it and secures and cinches tight. The best part is that it can be customized for your body type and does not wear on you even when hiking over 10 miles a day through rough terrain.

The Kalmia offered great space/ volume per weight, and fit me so well! The adjustable backplate offered needed personalization for fit, and the padding protected me from hotspots without being bulky. The rotating shoulder straps made a difference; I could feel the pack moving with me, instead of against me. The Kalmia 50 is my new go to pack! While this pack offers some personalization, it is n't the pack for everyone. I highly recommend trying the pack on before purchasing, and walking around a bit with some weight added to see how she rides. Overall: well made, great weight to capacity ratio, helpful personalization through various adjustment and tension points, moves with the hiker.

Superb quality everywhere and durable. Superb comfort. A few nip picking things I may do different is add an umbrella holder on the shoulder straps with molle webbing that I have seen done and is quite neat. Also the stow and go trek pole holders. Also I noticed the lid on top has 4 little molle like webbing straps and that is it. It would be much better if there was 2 more in the middle and all 4 were horizontal? and not diagonal? so you can attach a shock cord or straps to hold a blanket, rain coat or etc. As they are now you ca n't really do much with them especially with only 4 spaced so far apart and facing diagonally. But not a big deal and not worth a point deduction as this pack is exactly what I needed since I am almost 60 and it is so comfortable and adjustable and just hugs the body with nice air ventilation also. Once you load it right and adjust it accordingly is when you really notice this compared to a cheaper pack that just breaks you down and wets your clothes in sweat. I will never buy a cheap pack again as it is better for me to go to a premium one like this Osprey and spend a little extra for one that is made the way it should be to achieve the comfort, adjustability, and durability level needed to enjoy ones self when out and about other wise I would just be miserable and broke down with a bad back and knees. Trust me at my age its should be easy to understand.

I am an occasional backpacker and after 15 years of hiking my old Osprey Atmos had finally had enough.. the materials were starting to fall apart and after Osprey had repaired it once a couple years ago it was ready for replacement. Osprey replaced my old Atmos 65 with this Atmos LT 50 as part of the All Mighty Guarantee... the downsize and the simpler LT model were my choice and they honored it for me. Let me tell you this thing is WORLDS better than my 15 year old pack was even new! Stronger materials are used in areas that wore quickly on my old pack, the minimal design and smaller size is perfect for my gear that has lightened over the years and though this pack is slightly heavier than my old one it carries the weight MUCH better with the AG suspension, and feels lighter somehow. I am beyong thrilled with this newly designed Atmos as I tried the Exos and found it too minimal for me as I am not a weight weenie( although fully packed with food I am a smidge under 20lbs). This LT model is the perfect step up from the ultra light packs for folks like me that have lightened up over the years, but still want to be comfortable hauling a little extra. The one thing I will miss is the treking pole straps to quickly store them while scrambling up rocks or for road walks, but i made the decision to lose that and its a minimal sacrifice that I could potentially even fasion something for on my own so its not a big loss. I love this pack! Oh and the colors look better in person, not as pukey green, lol.

I bought this pack for day hikes and traveling, and I love it! The different adjustments make it super- comfortable, and the exterior loops for my trekking poles are really convenient. Great quality, lots of pockets and loops on the exterior, good ventilation on for my back, The only negative for me- it's currently only available in black. When they 're in blue or green, I will DEFINITELY get the larger size for longer hikes.
