I 've had this boot for 2 weeks and it has held up well with hourly patrols which total around 15, 000- 20, 000 steps a day. Pair it with compression socks or nicely padded merino wool socks and you wo n't have any foot pain at all. I ’ ve been wearing the Georgia Wedge over 15yrs now and prolly has become my one and only boot/shoe i wear with everything. Lol, went from Nike ’ s/Vans/Chucks to only Georgia wedge. I love them so much i have pairs for work and everyday wear. I ’ ve worked for the Water company where i live and not really being “ water proof ” i still wore them and they would hold up for 6 months or so. Bought 2 pairs of these about six years ago to wear around the barn and working in the woods and running a sawmill. They have been just what my old dogs needed. Comfortable, good support without being tight but easy to slip on and off even with swollen feet at the end of the day. These are the most comfortable and easiest to break in boots I ’ ve owned in 50+ years of cowboy boot ownership. I was a total R toe with leather sole devotee until I bought these square toe/ composite sole/ walking heel Durango boots. I wear them every day…. my R toe leather sole boots are now relegated to the back of the closet. No comparison in comfort and fit. All of my boots make that nice “ whoosh sound ” when putting them on… However the Durango boots are so much more comfortable for all day wear( and go whoosh). Great padding/ insert. Second pair of these boots. Wish they came in half sizes. We put an insert in them and they fit better though. Freest boot that fits snug to the calf without cutting off circulation. The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. I have had these boots for 5 years. Humping through the snowy mountains of Vermont on the job. Taking them off and on tens of thousands of times in customers homes. They have gone under many houses, crawlspaces, and under porches. In knee walls and trenches. Put away so wet that my socks were soaked the next morning( step in knee high snow and any boot is gon na get wet). I 've only had to change the laces on one boot. All I ask is that my boots hold up to the abuse I put them through. I wore them untied during the summer even, and the backside of the inner heel has just started to wear through. I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. Always have worn cowboy boots but unsure if my feet are changing or what but lately the top of my foot at the ankle has been rubbed raw by cowboy boots that I have worn for years through various styles( ariat, double H, Redwing). Did n't want to give up the heel style I prefer so after reading reviews ordered these. After a month of wear, found my ideal boots. They are light, almost no weight to them and the break in was no struggle with normal wear and rest of cycles between this and other pairs of boots. I had tried the Red Wing Logger Max 9 inch years ago and the laces for some reason refused to stay tied( unsure if it was the pair or user error). I work in an administrative environment 80% of the time with 20% in the field. I cant say enough about the weight, as I stated almost none, I have worn boots my entire life and Redwings have encompassed about 70% of the brands I have always worn. With good care and resoling as needed, look forward to having these boots for years.

They are high quality leather, although they are comfortable out of the box, they do get more and more comfortable as you wear them. I mainly bought this boot because it can be resoled and the reviews on Georgia boot were very positive. This is the first time I have bought Georgia boot. I have usually bought Ariat, Wolverine, Red Wings and Tony Lama. I am tired of buying good boots only to find out they are trash after the soles are worn off or the glue separating. These boots( Georgia Giant Wellingtons) can be resoled by a cobbler and should last a lifetime with proper care. After throwing away two pair of RedWing Boots because the soles are separating because they are glued and can not be resoled, I am now a Georgia Boot customer.

Just got back from Canada and Yes!!! Those are made for heavy weather… Waterproof and warm. I live the fact that you can pull the inside isolation for wash and dry. Confortable and lightweight as well.

Finally got my boots delivered today after a long shipping delay. My review is two fold: Boot quality: 5 stars. Seems super warm, and well constructed. Can ’ t wait to get these out in the snow and give them a real test, but I fully expect them to be a quality boot. Dick ’s quality control: the boots arrived in a box that had been torn and taped back together. Not a big deal, but…. The boot liners had a bunch of animal fur stuck in them, and all over the outside soles. Clearly someone had bought this exact pair before, tried them on, possibly used them, and decided to return them for whatever reason. It ’s very obvious that I didn ’ t get a “ new ” product. I sometimes buy previously used items, but only when I know that I ’ m buying used and can inspect the product first, and usually at a discount. I was fully expecting ” new ” here as It wasn ’ t indicated anywhere that I was getting a used or returned product and I didn ’ t get that. So 2 stars to Dick ’s for not being up front on the condition of what they ’ re selling, or checking the condition of the returns they ’ re reselling. I ’ m not disappointed in the product, hence why I ’ m actually leaving 5 stars, just in Dick ’s quality control and product clarity. This isn ’ t a deal breaker this time… I ’ m still keeping the boots, but now I have to spend time de- fur- ing them first.

I ordered these boots for my dad whose a welder almost a year ago. [ I bought these boots after seeing Wirecutter list them as best winter boots... They feel solidly built, yet cushy inside. I have used them a few times and they shed snow and water, and keep my feet pretty warm. The `` speedlacing system '' is a nice perk-- it means( I think) that there is an extra tab that holds the lace on the lower part of the boot tightly, so you can tighten the lower half and it will stay tight while you adjust and tie the upper half.

I bought these boots due to online reviews, and they were on sale, making it a double bonus. They have a thick inner liner that keeps your feet warm but are very snug! I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. My last pair, Sorel, held up for almost 30 years so I 'm hoping these will be my last snow boot purchase! So far they are decent. I would recommend they switch to quick lace hooks, rather than the eyelets.

Awesome boots! They 're surprisingly completely waterproof, breathe well, and keep my feet warm all day while working in snow/slush. The only complaint, if you can call it one, was that it took a little while to break in, but I wear these every day, even when I do n't need to, they 're that comfortable.

My husband LOVES his boots. He has found the correct size for his big feet! He usually wears a 15 and up- sized to a 16 for the ease of getting them on and off.
