Running around, prepping for trip, they kept my feet warm and dry in negative temps and snow. Standing for 4+ hours at a time, no problem. These were the only shoes I took on my 7- day trip: walking, hiking, ice, snow, rain, airports, shopping on cobblestone streets- you name it, I did it and my feet felt great. Fortunately I did not experience standing in deep snow or excessive rain, so I ca n't speak to how waterproof they are in extreme climates- but the limited rain and snow I encountered my feet stayed dry. These my guy ’s third pair in twenty some years. They are still in the box because his second pair are getting rough looking but do not leak. He will wear them until they do. I happen to see them standing in the corner looking like something attacked them. One was ragged in the top so I bought a new pair. I found out what happened. Brida, our blue healer puppy was having a good time with Dad ’s boot. We have beef cattle and live Up North Minnesota where there is black dirt and clay underneath. Now that is MUCK when it gets wet and will pull your boot right off. Usually manure is mixed in with that muck. Now these boots keep your feet dry and haven ’ t lost one yet.

Best winter hunting boots you can get. I 've been using mine for about 10 years now, and buy a set for each of my teens each year. If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. Most importantly, they are the only boots that you can sit for a couple of hours in the winter with and your feet do n't get cold. Any other boot I have ever tried, even the ones that claim- 30C, my feet always got cold really quickly, Even in only- 10C. [ I finally broke down to buy proper winter mittens and chose these as I love my Hestra ski gloves. They are soft and warm, keeping my fingers relatively comfortable in 5 degree Wisconsin weather. They are a bit bulky, but I can still shove them in the pockets of my heavy winter jacket. They work well for sledding, walking around, etc. I would prefer a slightly longer, larger wrist so they can go up over the jacket to keep snow from getting in. But otherwise I am very pleased. They are certainly better than anything I have owned thus far( save for my Hestra ski gloves) for serious winter outdoor time.

I bought these mittens for a snowshoeing trip that ended up being very windy and very cold. Despite the less than ideal conditions, my hands stayed toasty warm the entire trip. These mittens are very lightweight, but kept the wind out very well. There were even a few times along the trail were I had to take them off for a few seconds because my hands we too hot! They also seem to be sufficiently waterproof as I had no issues with water getting in or soggy mittens. The leather palms are also decently grippy which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor complaints are less than ideal dexterity( though that is to be expected with mittens) and there is n't a clip included to keep the mittens together when not in use. Overall these are wonderfully warm mittens and well worth the price!

Love Ariat boots' style& quality! I had owned for many years paddock, zip front boots for years that I wore in stables with cement floors& wore for riding English saddle w/ half- chaps. So when I wanted a nice pair of casual waterproof winter walking boots in the Chelsea style, I was thrilled to see that Ariat made them! Note: I first purchased reg width( wide, my width, was n't avail at the time) in size 8- 1/2 the boot itself fit perfect but the tops were too narrow above the ankle& rubbed my leg. I exchanged for wide width( avail after Christmas!) size 9( as 8- 1/2 were n't avail), I so wanted these boots. The top part above ankle does n't rub( yay) but the boot is way big for my foot. I bought super thick wool socks and manage but still too big on my feet, they slide as I walk. An 8- 1/2, wide- width would 've been perfect for me but I do n't believe they return 2x's. I wear them but can not walk fast in them and I 'm a NYer, oxymoronic. Highly recommend Ariat's Wexford Chelsea waterproof boots regardless! Super boots.

I wear them 95% of the time, on daily 2+- 4 km dog walks, outdoors, year- round and they 're at their peak look and feel. The single possible improvement I made- and that's on me because we have 4 months of winter here- is to replace the soles; the originals are quite tricky on frozen ground. Or a great workout, just watch your head yeah? I chose Vibram, a quick fix and better suited for that.

[ I highly recommend going to a store that carries Ariat boots so you can try them on to find your size. I bought the tack room chocolate and I am loving the color. The pink is brighter in person than on a screen, which for me is a huge plus! If you buy the boots in the size that fits you they are SUPER comfortable, just make sure to break them in especially if you have n't worn taller boots before. I have no complaints for these boots, they look great and feel great!
