Had to write a review. This jacket is not just cute, it's useful! I was only allowed one carryon on a regional flight from Prague and I could n't fit everything in my backpack. So I stuffed the front and back pockets of this jacket with more than I thought was humanly possible- water bottle, headphones, sweater, scarf, snacks, socks, ipad, etc. Then I just wore it right onto the plane. The hood is a good size and has a brim, which I really like. I can typically wear a size small but like to get rain jackets in medium so that I can layer under. [ When the weather changed for our Portugal trip I needed a rain jacket fast! This jacket exceeded my expectations. It POURED rain on us and i stayed completely dry! The hood and extended visor prevented all rain from getting to my face and hair. I have waist length, super curly, thick hair and this hood kept it all in and dry! the length was perfect and prevented my lower body from getting wet. I sized up from a XL to a 2XL as I wanted room to layer and wear sweaters or sweatshirts underneath. The deep pockets were perfect for extra travel items! I got a whole water bottle inside one! Interesting to see the various issues around clumped filling. I 've used this jacket around the globe in various environments so it's had plenty of washes. I 've never experienced the clumping issues. I wash it separately shake it out and hang to dry. When dry I give it another shake and off we go. No clumping, no gaps, no issues.

I live in the interior of BC, Canada, where it ’s often brisk in the mornings and evenings. I am 5 ’ 6 ” and 170lbs of muscle with wider hips and shoulders- this jacket in a large fits perfectly with room for a hoodie underneath while not being too tight on my bum. This jacket definitely rivals my Patagonia nanopuffer in warmth and comfort. The color is a perfect shade of brown IMO. I 'm 5'10 '' and it hits right at my waist. I wound up going with a size small because it's rather boxy( I 'm usually a M/L). Great travel jacket that packs down into nothing. Even wore it out into the rain and I stayed remarkably dry. Granted, I was running from the car to the store, but enough that I would 've felt it had it not been water resistant. I would definitely recommend. I am obsessed with the Bessie Packable Jacket. It ’s everything I didn ’ t know I needed — lightweight, incredibly warm for how thin it is, and so easy to travel with. I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. [ This jacket is a great buy! Perfect for the in between seasons. It ’s lite enough for warmer weather but layered with a long sleeve and it keeps you warm without sweating. The material is great inside and out without having the noise of a true “ windbreaker ” jacket. The fit is great as well- definitely true to size. If you would want more of an oversized fit, I would recommend sizing up. Whether you want something easy for cool nights, a quick grab for your early morning runs or even a nice added piece for your weekend errands, this jacket really serves as a multi- purpose wear. I would highly recommend this one. Can ’ t wait to get another one in a different color.

[ I love this running jacket! It is super lightweight and breathable, so perfect for long runs in the mist, rain and wind. The hood is extra big and adjustable, the sleeves are long, and it provides a perfect amount of coverage from all of the elements. Overall a great fit! One thing I have trouble with other running jackets is it keeps too much moisture trapped in, but this material is perfectly breathable. Very thoughtful design that any distance runner with appreciate and love.

[ Bought this in the purple/blue combo a few weeks ago in- store and I absolutely love it! The large is perfect for me( 5 ’ 9 ” 165lbs). I have long arms and broad shoulders and the sleeves are perfectly long! It ’s roomy enough to layer, if it ’s chilly. I love that it has UPF and is super breathable, perfect for any outdoor activity. I ’ m going to buy it in black too!

[ I purchased this jacket in the blue/purple combo and I loved it so much that I also bought it in black! The material of the black one is slightly different, though, and is a little stiff and noisy( reason for 4, not 5 stars). I ’ m sure it will soften up with time. This jacket is so lightweight and comfortable! I was looking for something with UPF 50 for my walks in the warmer weather. Total bonus that it ’s packable. I throw it in my motorcycle backpack for day trips. Runs true to size. I bought a large, and I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ” 165lbs with long arms and broad shoulders. Arms are plenty long, which is rare. Also totally love the hood, nice and big, will easily fit over a baseball cap. I highly recommend this jacket!

I needed a lightweight rain jacket that was also easy to carry when not wearing. This jacket is perfect though it does run a tad big. Normally a large fits me sometimes even a medium but this jacket in a large is a bit oversized. Still very satisfied with its lightweight feel and packability.
