The shoe had no issues during the run and my feet stayed dry thanks to the Gore Tex technology. The material is reinforced in areas of high wear which promotes longevity. What did you like most? What would you change? Overall what I liked the most is that the shoe is a great all around performer. Materials are great for outdoor running, the traction grips well and it has a strong rubber that ensures durability. Further, the midsole and the cushion technology make it a comfortable ride whether it ’s for a walk or an outdoor run. Lastly, the shoe can be used casually due to its design and I don ’ t have to worry about any discomfort. The only thing I would change about the shoe are the laces, they run a bit short and I ’ d prefer them to be a little thicker to battle the outdoors.

Although the shoe is true to size, you may need to up a size if you have wider feet. The shoe is very comfortable and light weight, it felt like I was walking on clouds. The design is simple and thought out as it's waterproof and has good grip. The thick sole provides a lot of cushion and comfort. Even though the sole is thick, the shoe does not feel bulky. It is nice that these shoes are waterproof and have good grip as we are approaching rainy and icy season. I wore these shoes to the gym and it had enough support and grip. What I like about these shoes is that it has a lot of cushion that supports the sole. The only thing I would change about these is to make them a little wider. I have pretty narrow standard feet, but I thought it was a little snug at first.

I received my boots 6- weeks ago and have worn them a dozen times building mountain bike trails in Northern California. The boots are very comfortable, have great traction and warm in cool weather. What I like best about the boots is that I am sure footed when working on steep grades, in mud, and in thick bushes. Work boots, any brand I ’ ve tried many different brands over the years, usually last 2 months a few lasted 3 months but they were destroyed. These trolls are paid to rag others, because their products can ’ t compete. Besides, Columbia would surely warranty any defects. So, I have used many high end hiking boots from top makers costing twice, even three times as much. These are well crafted with good materials, are very comfortable and lightweight. I find no defects and were perfect in every way. Great traction on slippery surfaces, rocks and grades. Waterproof as good as any high quality brand. I 'm very sure no one makes a better boot for the money, even those higher priced offerings. Columbia works very hard at designing and developing fine outdoor merchandise at competitive prices…backed by years of customer satisfaction. What impressed me most was the comfort and quality.

I needed some hiking shoes to hike North Cascades National Park in Seattle. Never had hiking shoes before, but hated that they looked so clunky. I saw that trail running shoes work well for hikes as well and allow your feet to stay flexible. I saw these for sale and gave it a try. Wow. It genuinely provided so much support for hiking and light jogging. I hiked through brush, rocks, gravel, tree roots, grass, and other terrains. I did n't slip a single time and the shoes really cushioned each step. Safe to say, I would have been doomed with regular running shoes. After hiking a few days, the shoes still looked new! They were a bit dusty from the trail itself, though. Treads on the bottom looked new, did n't see any scratches or gouges, laces were not frayed. I got the Gore- Tex variant, so at the end of the hike, I walked into the shallow end of a lake and wiped them off, no water got in. I half- sized up. My regular shoe size is a 9, but I went 9. 5 because I wore thicker socks and appreciate the toe room during hiking as I do n't want my toes banging the front of the shoe. Feet also swell when hiking. All in all, I hiked around 20 miles on this trip as well as walking around city areas, so probably closer to 30 miles. I had no issues whatsoever and would recommend them. If Nike wants to sponsor me for this review, I 'm all ears because they 've won me over with these purposeful shoes.

I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

[ I am by no means a tennis shoe girly, BUT let me tell you something, these shoes are the bomb dot com. From the moment I put them on, I just knew I ’ d wear these every single day. They look good, from the fabric to the color, and they ’ re super comfy! I have bunions and it ’s hard for me to find the perfect shoe but I wear these all day, everyday! [ I can not recommend these shoes enough. Nike is a brand that I ’ ve used for years and these take the cake! They ’ re lightweight but have plenty of cushioning to make them comfortable to wear for extended periods and an array of activities. These shoes have plenty of bounce that make it easy to keep momentum and helps with posture. I love the sleek look of these, despite having a thicker sole. As a mom, I need support in my shoes to keep me from feeling fatigued at the end of a long day on my feet and these do just that! And who doesn ’ t love a stylish and functional shoe?! The only thing I would change on these is to have a slightly longer shoelace, and that ’s super simple, cheap fix. On the flip side- I appreciate that the laces aren ’ t so long that I ’ ll step on them and untie these bad boys so I ’ ll more than likely leave them as they are. Knowing the trusted quality of Nike, these will last me a long time, so the value is unbeatable.

I was so excited to find these hiking boots from Merrell. Their brand never fails me. I was anxious to get out for my first hike in them. They are strong, supportive, and my feet do n't get tired. There's no fatique after hiking. Even a long 5 mile hike. Hiked over rocks, and I could feel the support. No slip! For me, I would wear these all four seasons with the proper socks.
