It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

I tend to bring a jacket with me where ever I go so I love that it is packable. Other packable jackets I 've tried can feel cheap or flimsy, but what I like most about this jacket is that there is no compromise quality of the material- it still feels great when I wear it. Thoughtful touches with the zipper design to keep rain out, the bungie cords at the waist for a more secure fit, and vented back to help with breathability really bring functionality to this piece. [ This jacket is amazing! I 've been looking for a rain coat that's light weight and comfortable, but that would n't stick to my skin when it rained. I think I finally found that! It has a hood and a cinch cord around the waist to really keep rain out. The vent flap in the back is the only weird thing about it. Because it is just tacked around the edges, it sometimes falls open and you can see glimpses of the shirt underneath. I do n't think that's a huge issue because it does n't effect the usefulness of this jacket and it does n't fall open enough for me to care about. The sleeves are long enough for me, which I love! That's something I typically have issues with since my arms are so long. I ca n't wait for the next time it rains!

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. I got this jacket a month ago and since I ’ ve used it during heavy rain in the city and during winter mountain climbs. I can say I ’ ve had no issues with the waterproofing. In the winter mountain, this jacket became irreplaceable for me. Being so light and breathable is such a game changer- I sweat much less, less need to stop for water and I feel much less exhausted. It ’s packing small, so it ’s super easy to fit it in the external pockets of a backpack, so you don ’ t waste any unnecessary time- game changer when you are in the winter mountain. The pockets are awesome and the jacket is super comfortable. I was worried about the Velcro on the cuffs, since a lot of jackets will loosen and let air in between the cuff and your gloves, but the Velcro works super well and gives you a solid locked- in feeling. Last but not least, it beats off strong winds like it ’s nothing. This feature helps you dress lighter, move faster, and get tired less. This jacket improved my performance per unit of effort in the mountain, which is essential since most mistakes happen out of exhaustion. Really happy about my purchase!

The single best jacket I 've ever owned. The fabric is simply a slam dunk and the technical design is on point. Enough room for movement and the sleeves are long enough to use it on a bike aswell. I would like to see a jacket with the cut and features of the Skogso Jacket in the Eco- Shell fabric. I would then have a jacket to wear all year, anywhere.

I was tired of always getting completely soaked every time I went out in the rain. I had been in the market for a high quality shell and something that was not Gore- Tex( as it is terrible for the environment). I knew that Fjallraven made high quality outdoor gear that was environmentally friendly and sustainable. So I purchased this and have not been disappointed. I have been out in some miserable weather and have had stayed completely dry. My only gripe is the adjusters that cinch the hood down- I have a long neck and sometimes they do not stay in place if you are moving around a lot.

[ I took this coat on hikes, sledding with kids in snowstorms, and rainy walks with the dog. The jacket seems to absorb a little water but I 've always been dry underneath. A great alternative to gore- tex without the environmental implications. My only qualm is the lack of side- pockets which I knew about before but is still a nuisance. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.

I wear this jacket for everything- hiking, around town, commuting. The zip system is amazing in terms of letting me vent as much as I need on wet but hot/humid days, as well as drape the jacket over a medium sized backpack when commuting to keep it dry

The new 3L Fabric is a huge improvement over the older Foray, it's robust, has just enough stretch, and overall is impressive. I was somewhat hesitant as they moved away from Gore but seeing it in person I am 100 percent a fan and it's better in every way. The only improvement, and OR please make this happen, is the branding. Make a Blacked out version without the contrasting logos, that would put this jacket as the best among the best.

I needed a jacket that would perform in a variety of extreme environments when going inside was not an option. This jacket filled this role perfectly and has kept me dry while exploring the north Maine Woods more recently while hiking through the cloud rain forest in Costa Rica. On a cool rainy day, you can keep warm with all the vents closed and a puffy underneath. While in warmer humid weather, just open the massive vents on the sides and keep dry while still being able to `` breath '' and stop sweat from soaking you from the inside out. It is very weight efficient, easily packed, and well cut for the active user. The chest pocket is also a favorite feature of mine to safely store a cell phone while on the move yet keeping it easily accessible.

I wanted a timeless light jacket for hiking with my dogs that was n't a puffer. This one does not disappoint! I love the Indigo Blue as I gravitate towards cooler colors. I am usually between a small and a medium and got a small for a more fitted look.. I wear it over the grey Fjallraven Snow Cardigan. The hood is spacious enough for a toque and the overall fit is very flattering. For reference I am 5ft4, 140lbs, hourglass body type. Keep in mind this jacket does not have any stretch to it and the shoulders are a bit narrower. The sleeves are nice and long and the length sits just below my waist( I have a short torso). I have been reaching for it since I got it last month. Looking forward to Spring in Alberta to wear it more often!

It looks nicer than the pictures. The interior seams are finished, interior pocket, adjustable hem elastic, zipper exterior pocket, high collar and a fitted hood. As always, I ’ m impressed with the quality of these products. I am 5 ’ 2 ” and 112 pounds. The bottom is a little wide, and the sleeves a little long, but the snap closure on the sleeves and the elastic around the bottom bring those things in fine. I see complaints on the width of the sleeves, I have larger biceps, and this isn ’ t an issue for me.
