Great Stove. I own three total, but this one is our elk camp stove. We use it 3 weeks per year and it's buried in a stash on our property the rest of the year. Pro 14 two burner cooktop Went to our inaugural Halloween bike ride and one of the guys pulled out a older version of the Pro 14 two burner cooktop and griddle. I could n't believe how easily it setup, cleaned up and made a ton of food for every that came that day. It worked so well that my wife and I ordered one immediately to use on our own trips, gatherings and just some Sunday morning cookout fun. We also purchased the two burner griddle and griddle carrying bags for both the stove and griddle, so nice to keep everything neat and sorted. I 've only used it a couple of times so far but one thing i really noticed was how nice the burner control is, you can turn it down all the way and not worry about the burner flaming out. My only complaint which is minor is that the flip out red lid covers do n't sit completely flat like my friends did. Perhaps they will wear in with a bit more use.

Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I ’ m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it ’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn ’ t fold down but that ’s okay I don ’ t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it ’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that ’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I ’ m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I ’ m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

I like the fact that when you turn it on low, the temperature stays low as opposed to other brands that just keep getting hotter the longer it goes. Very even heating all across the surface. Our family has several stoves ranging in size for backpacking and kayaking to car camping to portable cooking for large crowds. This single burner is great by itself or in combo with a two burner or another single burner for weekend camping. You save the room on your picnic table and the power of this stove boils water in a jiffy for coffee and cooks up breakfast for six in a jiffy using the single burner griddle( sold separately) on medium low heat. We very rarely use our table top stoves anymore- the quality at 30k BTU output more than makes up for the added bulk if you have room. Get yourself a two burner with griddle and bbq box and save this one for pans and coffee making on an open flame so you do n't have to swap out accessories. You 'll be able to cook for the entire camp! We have a dedicated 5lb tank for this and it will last a week with regular cooking. I do n't give out five stars easily- this unit earns every single one.

The top drawer is stainless steel covered and when you open it is divided into organizing compartments. There is an area for a propane tank as well. The metal slit in the side table area is great for holding knives/flat utensils. It was fairly easy to build and has all the tools you need included. I ’ ve had my griddle for a year and used about twice a month and my top has absolutely no deterioration or excessive wear. The griddle has never seen any metal cooking utensils or abrasive cleaning products or tools. I use only Pit Boss utensils for the griddle and clean with Dawn soap, water and the Pit Boss scrub pad( recommended by Pit Boss). Another tip would be to not use oil( as you would with a steel grill). I use butter and only enough to flavor. My experience is better than most reviews. You can ’ t treat this griddle like a steel top.

[ This actually comes double boxed which I really like because it protects the product. It is very heavy because of the pot being cast iron. The pot is a 5 gallon cast iron with feet and it's pre- seasoned which is awesome. It also has an aluminum lid to cover the pot. The frame of the pot you bought together so it's provides extra sturdiness for the cooker. It's heated by using a propane tank. This is awesome for tailgating or for camping because even though it's called the jambalaya pot you can virtually cook tons of stuff in this like chili or soups or do a fish fry. The only thing it says you can not use it for is to fry a whole turkey which is understandable because it's only 5 gallon. If you love camping or tailgating or just like to have a pot instead of a grill this is awesome to have. For my large family we do a lot of Chili's and gumbos and soups so this is going to really be great on our next camping trip in a couple of weeks

I did have an initial issue with one of the burner nacklights not working and they sent me out a new know with backlight immediately, no problem at all. Every time Father's Day /Mother's Day approaches I always think of what a great gift this made for me.**** There is a current issue however, I do need a new 5 burner cooktop and can not get one anywhere and this is not available in the current parts list. Just have to make sure grill grate is ajustable to different heights. I do wish it came with a canvas bag. Some heat resistant gloves are recommended as it can get pretty hot when trying to move it. I actually have also had a brick pizza oven for about 10 years but was finding it difficult to source good wood and tired of the hour long heat up time. The difference with the Koda 2 was night and day! On demand fuel, relatively short heat up, great heat distribution making for a great cook. This stove is great it heats well, is compact, and is easy to use. I do wish the grate had a clip or something so it did n't slide out of the well when it's time for storage, but that is minor. We have it in a Plano box we use as a mess kit so once it is in there it's pretty secure. The only suggestion would be to put the knobs for the gas and the sparker on the same side. It's a little too wide with them on opposite sides to neatly store away. Otherwise I think this will be a great addition to our camp gear. We had no issues with the flame flickering in the light breezes we encountered. It seems that as long as you 're not cooking in a head on wind it would do well. Cooled down quickly, and packed away neatly. Thank you Coleman for offering American made products that are well built.

This grill is fantastic. I always buy the cheap foil pans and cook my burgers on them just pick them up and toss so no mess at all and easy clean up. It does tend to use alot of propane in those small bottles BUT they are small bottles so super convenient. I love it

[ This grill is the best thing we 've ever owned. I love that it has a propane tank holder, it holds it very steadily. The way that it folds out to be almost double the size so you have room to set things down, it's like an outdoor kitchen! The grease trap has been a cleaning life saver. We also cooked pancakes on it and they were SO good. Also being able to just cook all of the pancakes at one time made for such an easy breakfast! I love that you can adjust the burners to cook multiple things, or not waste propane if you only need half the grill on. It's the best.

[ This griddle was super simple to setup, but I do wish there was some kind of direction on what to do when you first open it especially how to coat it and make it non- stick. I also would have appreciated some sort of fun little recipe guide to get going. At first, the only thing I could think to make was pancakes... but after scouring the internet for some, we have used this for so many things. One thing I would fix though is the spot that you put the grease/mess into. Mine seems like it is a little on the crooked side, but everything looks even when you have it removed from the griddle.

The grill is just the right size when cooking for two. I like the two burners. What ’s different is the need for water to use the grill. I didn ’ t experience any flare ups while cooking, however getting rid of the water is a pain when you ’ re at a campground since it has grease in it.

[ Some assembly required but well worth the effort, crack a beer and take you time this is your new smoker! Make sure you plan a burn off of the protective coating that is applied to interior metal part to protect against corrosion, this step is kinda buried in the manual. After these first few steps you are ready to create. This is truly plug and play. Lets admit it, most smokers work the same way, what sets this one apart and it major! is the ash clean out and the wood pellet dump. If you have ever had to shop vac out your smoker just before you are about to drop your dinner on the grill you 'll know the profanity my neighbors are treated to.( apologies) The ash clean out on this bad boy was a game changer. Do n't be cheap protect your smoker and buy the cover, yes you can park your rig under cover which helps, but the moisture in the air finds a way in. The cover will extend the life of your smoker and that itself has great value.

This is my 3rd camp chef dlx 24 I own. They all work great and would recommend to anyone. This 1 cost a little more than the other 2 and came with a little damage but nothing a rubber mallet could n't fix. I hope it last just as long as my other 2 if not longer. FYI my other 2 work fine I just had a mishap with pellets getting wet and jammed up auger but I cleared the jam and still works. Camp Chef is definitely my go to smoker/pellet grill in today's market.
