I want to start by saying that I have been a loyal follower and buyer of Salomon boots for as long as I can remember. For at least the past ten years, I have worn them every single day. I replace my boots annually—not because they wear out or break down, but simply because I love the feel of new boots. In fact, I still have all of my previous pairs, except my very first ones( which I should have kept as well). Each pair continues to serve me in different ways. When I first purchase a new pair, they become my work boots, while the older ones transition into hiking boots, allowing them time to break in naturally. After about six months, I begin using the newer boots for hiking, always carrying an extra pair in my pack in case I need to swap them out—usually due to an issue like water getting inside. Let me emphasize that under normal conditions, these boots do not get wet inside. However, if fully submerged underwater—which I have done on several occasions—they will absorb moisture. When this happens, I hang the wet boot on the outside of my pack to dry while I continue my journey. I can confidently say that Salomon makes outstanding boots. They have been an essential part of my adventures, and I highly recommend them. Great boots, great company, and great experiences with Salomon!

Boot met and exceeded expectations. First pair of Salomon ’s and could not be happier. Great support, and waterproof membrane has helped so much. Used them on a late season hunt and kept my feet warm and dry.

I bought thease boots a yr ago. Went on a serious hike at 14000 ft elevation for a few weekends. Bottom sole had a blow out. Was able to have it replaced with the warranty.

I 'm overly particular about how a boot fits my foot. Not just how it feels on my sole and width, but also pressure points along the dorsum or dorsal/top of the foot. Did you know that the human foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments? This fact requires, or should require, a shoe/boot to have custom levels of lacing controls. Of course this is why there are many eyelets that laces run through on most shoes. A problem I have found on many boots that I buy, is that the eyelet placement only provides a general or average comfort control spread out across the dorsum. These Salomon Quest 4's do a better than average job of placing the eyelets in such a way as to be able to fully control ighten each section of eyelets. This allows wearer to adjust tightness to suit. The Salomon boots took about a week to break in, but they are so comfortable. Will definitely buy again.

I have been buying these boots for over ten years now and must be on my 10th or 11th pair. I have flat feet, suffer from plantar fasciitis, and have had a bad case of heel spur,( pain at night and at every step). Then I bought my first pair of Salomon Quest's 4, added some green superfeet insoles( which I wear in all other footwear as well/ but wo n't get the same result) and within a year of wearing these boots for 90% of my walking time about 12000 steps a day, 7 days a week at the time, my heel spur was completely gone, dissolved, my plantar fasciitis pain gone!! No more feeling like walking on rocks when getting out of bed, foot pain gone! So Yes I absolutely love these boots and whenever I wear something different for a couple of days( for formal reasons) my foot pain returns, but reliably melts away when wearing my trusted quest's again. They are super supportive, and feel like a tank around your foot with the comfort of a sneaker right out of the box, 11 pairs, never once a blister. I wish I had these boots back in the day during my time in the military. They are my favorite footwear by far, while I am not hiking, I am walking the unforgiving pavements of New York City. Even when up on your feet all day walking and standing, your feet never fatigue.
