I bought this item recently. The Allen Key( Hex Key) included in this model was one size too small and did not help in any way during assembly. It will be loose and dangerous to use unless the correct hex key is used. Constructing this item ourselves took about an hour with two people. Why is the Allen key from the manufacturer not the correct size? The height of this stand is good, but weight and stability are indeed an issue. Anyone looking to purchase this stand should greatly consider looking at the user manual and adding/purchasing the additional weights to keep it in place during use. I have been using this equipment for over 12 years. I have put it to hard use both inside and out in nature, over tree limbs and pull up bars. It has held up remarkably well. It is also useful as isometric straps. I keep it in a bag in my car when I go on my month long road trips. This is a very durable, flexible, and elegant dumbbell set. You can adjust the weight by adding or subtracting weight plates, which means that one pair of dumbbells allows you to do many different exercises. Yes, it takes a minute to screw the collars on and off to change weights-- but you need to rest a minute between sets anyway. And you can screw the collars on snuggly so that the weight plates do n't rattle around like other quick- adjust dumbbell sets( and this set costs far less). Finally, the plastic case is a nice touch if you need to put the weights away when the grand kids come over for a play date.
