They have gone under many houses, crawlspaces, and under porches. In knee walls and trenches. I got these for shoveling snow, before/after skiing, walking dogs, and other winter use. They 've been very comfortable and provide good grip. Warmth seems good too, but I have n't spent hours outside in them. I wore them as I loaded/unloaded skis and luggage in- 30F temperatures, and my feet stayed warm for those 10- 15 minutes. And I 've shoveled snow in them at- 5F with no issues. As long as they last, I 'll be really happy with these.

I have used them a few times and they shed snow and water, and keep my feet pretty warm. The `` speedlacing system '' is a nice perk-- it means( I think) that there is an extra tab that holds the lace on the lower part of the boot tightly, so you can tighten the lower half and it will stay tight while you adjust and tie the upper half.

I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. I bought the Gore- tex version of these last summer and finally had an opportunity to use them on a day hike( just a little over 12km round trip). The boots are super comfortable and require no break in time. The majority of the hike was through knee high snow and a few water crossings. They had great traction, were supportive and completely waterproof. I highly recommend these boots.

My grandson was shopping around for Carolina Boots but tried out these Wolverines with much cheaper pricing. He has had them a month and absolutely loves them. They are very well made and he says they are comfortable enough to wear all day. They are n't heavy to make his legs tired. We purchased size 10 so they are true to size.
