I spend more time on foot than in the boat so I was after a boot that would be durable and sturdy across land as much as in the water. The M's Flyweight are performing well in this regard. The sole is remarkably `` sticky '' so far and inspires a lot of confidence in stability. I ca n't imagine what they 'd be like with cleats! I was thinking about getting XtraTuf boots for a long time but never had any reason to until I started needing a waterproof boot that wasn ’ t a full tall winter boot. I ’ m glad I got them. They aren ’ t breathable( as I expected) due to the waterproofing of the boot, but the fact that they are short boots helps them breathe a little more than a tall boot. They are very comfortable and I have even wore them for short hikes because I decided not to change my shoes. They have quickly became my everyday winter shoe/boot. I love the purple color, it is so fun, but when mud splashed on them it stays visible until you wash it off. The one time I did scrub them off they did clean up relatively nicely, but if you want an easier maintenance boot, I would get a darker color.

My last pair of deck boots lasted me three years before cracking on the crease point near the balls of my feet. I put them through everything. A lot of forestry work. The only issue I have is comfort. My current job requires standing on concrete for up to 6 hours a day. My feet start to hurt after a few hours. I definitely recommend buying inserts if you can. I wear these at least 3- 4 times a week, they 're like slippers for me. I will definitely be coming back for another pair when these wear out. I ’ m really psyched to see Xtratuf add different outsole traction options to their awesome product. I was gifted these from Mrs. Claus. And received a size 11. I typically wear sizes from 10- 11 across most brands. I have owned the 6 inch deck boots for a year and found them amazing to put on in a second and bomb to the mountain or to kick start the snowblower to blast the snow out the driveway to get to the studio on time. At times, on ice and snow, the deck boots can be a bit slippery so added traction with edge syping would be a bonus in my environment here in Truckee. After try- on this boot does not fit the same way as the deck boot which I sized up. 5 size with and the deck boot model is roomy. These boots however cramp my toes in the same size. If I size up from 11 the next size is twelve. I recommend ordering two sizes to try on. These seem to run a size small whereas the 11 fits me as if it ’s a 10.

[ I 've been looking for an alternative to my Xtratuffs and came across these. The comfort on the midsole is what I was really looking forward too. Long days on my feet on a 10+ hour workday means I need all the comfort I can get and so far these shoes have met my expectations. So far the outer water protection layer is holding up. The only downside I 've found so far is the opening to the shoe is narrow and I have to wear long socks or pants that come down to protect my shins from all the rubbing and hitting from walking.

This is the first pair of waders I 've had to buy in 15 years an OH BOY what an upgrade. They 've seen a handful of trips since purchase. When it was 65F outside they did not feel hot; when it was 28F outside this last weekend with a base layer under they felt just warm enough standing in the middle of a river. I really like the external knee pads-- scrambling up and down slightly sketchy canyons to try and catch a trout, sharp rocks were just one less thing to worry about. The chest pockets are also well placed for easy access. I like that the guards that go over your boots do n't have a hook on them but instead fit tight enough onto the boot themselves to hold strong without me noticing. Zero hesitations in recommending these for anyone looking to stand in a river and slay trout.

I needed a pair of non- felt- bottom wading boots for a New Zealand trip and the first pair I ordered were too large. Surprised by them as they were on sale, nice fit with a wider foot and not getting the wide version. Nice breathing with mesh flex for a leather boot. Only had them one day but very grippy and lots of stability from heel. I can see why one review did n't like heel support, so far it's improved my posture/stance. Arch feels great. I usually wear a 10. 5 w and went with 11. They look sharp too

My first pair of Chaco's boots- The package arrived on time- purchased 1/2 size up men's fields lace boot. In hand inspection of the boots coloring and construction are excellent. The dark brown leather is blemish free. The feeling of fit wearing thick wool socks is comfortable, no odd pressure points along the upper or side portion of the shoes. Man made foam insert foot bed sits on top of the compressed paper or leather mid sole. The glued on `` Chaco '' rubber sole is grippy and has deep treads for a secure wet stance in the rain. Very comfortable around the calf area because of the elastic cut out design, provides easy flex while walking. Overall a good looking boot.

I got these boots as a birthday gift a few months ago. At first, they were a little tight, but once I got them broke in- I 'll be buying these again. I was having issues with my back and had been going to a chiropractor. After I started wearing these boots on a daily basis, No back pain. These boots are extremely comfortable and lightweight. Great stability I ’ ve been in Alabama hunting turkey and they have been wonderful up and down these hills. The boots are made of great quality and everyone comments on the camo. I will buy insulated ones this fall if they have my size! On top of these I purchased the lace up snake boots and I ’ ve had them on all day today and they are wonderful boots!

I was looking for a waterproof boot that was n't thermalized so I could wear it in a range of weather-- these are perfect. The Chaco footbed is nice and supportive, and the shaft is wide enough for easy on and off. Also love the finger loop at the back to help. I wear a size 8 or 8. 5 wide in women's and I bought the men's 7-- it fits perfectly and the width is great.

Usually wear a women ’s 8. 5 wide. These fit just about right. These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.
