This Manduka mat is really worth the price since it has enough cushioning, not so much that makes one lose balance but good for a head stand. Also, it has a great grip for positions when you press hard with hands and feet. It is long enough for me to fit laying down and it is n't that heavy. I 've tried a few options, but this is the best one I 've found for my Bikram practice. It's very absorbent and does n't slip much at all. I only bought a second one because after almost two years of washing, the other one got a little stiff. I think two years is a god life for a yoga towel, though!

Bought this to use as an exercise mat for when I workout at my apartment or local rec center. It does its job very well, and the cushioning is surprisingly effective despite being only 5mm thick. The mat also does a good job at gripping the floor.

I recommend the mat because it is high quality and very comfortable. This makes up for the cons. I sweat and it does NOT handle this well. It becomes slippery. It also makes suction noises after rising from a lying down pose. I wonder if others in the class think the noise sounds like one of our natural body functions.

I 'm fairly new to yoga, but have been through 3 yoga mats before this. Either they did not stick to the floor. or my hands would slip, or they would even shed. This mat is perfect. It is long enough, does not slip, I am able to hold poses. Well worth the spend.

I love this mat. So grippy and supportive. As someone who is fairly bony I ’ ve had a lot of issues finding a mat I like that I can spend time on my knees or other bony joints. This mat allowed me to get through an entire practice with no pain, even when placed directly on my hardwood floors. It ’s cushy yet very supportive. My only complaint is that the material attracts EVERYTHING. After my practice I can see every hair, piece of lint, dust and everywhere my dry winter skin touched the mat. But hey it ’s worth wiping off every time anyway, just never have seen what gets left behind on the mat every time.
