Great boot but I upgrade the insole. This is my second pair and im a hands on GC in Utah. I work new construction and remodels and these boots are great. I like them better than Brunt and they last. My last pair was over 2 years although they were hammered. Just picked up another pair and fitted them with some custom insoles. Very happy with this boot and will probably pick up another pair in 2 years. The sole wears somewhat quick but thats what you get when it's a non- slip sole that doesnt track mud everywhere. They are waterproof and best of all they are cool during the hot summers of south Louisiana because of their breathability properties. I 've had this boot for a little less than a year and they have changed my daily life. These boots are of the upmost comfort and quality, hands down my favorite pair to throw on and let life take me to where I need to go. At first I was skeptical of such a modern take on the classic square toe, I have never owned a pair of derby boots or chelseas before this and they seriously go on the foot like a breeze. I work on my feet all day and never once did I experience blisters or cramps or any such ailment. The leather is quality and solid, something only Durango can provide. Their scuffed and mud crusted and yet they still have that classic leather smell like they just came out of the box. Love these boots, I went true to size though they are a bit more narrow than I 'm used to. I used their online foot sizer with my foot as flat as possible and my toes spread out as wide as I could get them and was recommended a 9. 5 wide, they fit perfectly. Very well made. You can tell they are individually crafted in an old school manner and not just spat out in mass numbers and I love that. I purchased the Men's Mt. Maddsen Slip- On Shoe in October 2022 about a month before a trip to Northern Ireland. I was looking for a comfortable hiking shoe. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. After 2 years of hard use( I write this in 2024) the soles are worn, but no separation at all from the leather uppers. Very well made.( This is for the model A6660 made in Vietnam)

I typically don ’ t write reviews but after a day of nonstop wearing in the snow I need to give Red Wing huge props for these boots. Not are they only the most comfortable boot I may have ever owned, they kept my foot entirely dry the entire day and when i reached into the boot to see if it was damp at all it was entirely dry. The cushion and comfort in this boot is unreal. I ’ m not a hunter nor do I use these boots for work. I wear them to walk my labs during the winter in all weather. worth the money. Being on my feet most of the days for the past 30+ years of my career, I need a greatly comfortable pair of shoes.... especially with my lower discs deteriorated. Also need the shock resistance working on 120- 480 volt equipment. Also need the slip resistance on slippery and/or oily surfaces. These have been my 'go- to' for a couple decades now. These are more comfortable to me than any pair of 'tennis show' I 've worn There is a negative to the comfort... the shoes are actually designed as a 'trail style' shoe. A good place would be when I purchased these bad boys during my time working at Cabela's 4 years ago. Once I placed these glorious looking fiends on a display rack, I knew I had to have them. And boy am I glad I do. These have been my year- round daily boot, for literally all weathers in Colorado, and I wear them literally every day. The leather has worn in so amazingly, that I forget I 'm wearing them sometimes. I have worn the soles down to being almost flat, now, and have swapped out insoles for some Meindl ones, but man, insoles only do so much. I wear these hiking, Jeeping, running errands, going outside in general, these are what I want on my feet. I have worn these at several jobs, ranging from my mechanic work, to the tarmac as ground crew for an airline, and they are still solid, no tears, rips, anything!( there is some stuffing from the belly of the airplanes when I was stuck on my knees, but it does matter to me, they still look great!) I recently purchased the Homeland waterproof wellington work boot from Georgia boot. I wear these down at the family ranch, which exposes them to plenty of thorny areas of rosehedges and dense brush. I wear these shoes to work every day and everywhere. Tough as nails and looks great even beat up. I never complain about foot pain anymore with these. The soles are so tough and the wear is minimal. The leather does wear out after a while meaning a looser fit but the hide hold up. I 'm on my 3 or 4th pair.

here's how much i love these boots. for the last 2 decades they have been on a constant rotation: oldest to still- in- the- box. as the oldest worn- out pair rotate out into the garbage( after years), the next pair moves to oldest slot for really dirty work, and i open the box for the newest pair for general wear. as soon as that box is opened, i order the next box. so, i always have a ratty pair, a semi ratty pair, a new pair, and a boxed pair. they are everyday wear, work& non- work, on& off the motorcycle. highly recommend, obviously.

Nice boots. I always order a wide in a cowboy boot and have several pairs of Rebels in wide. These are WIDE and the toe area is really, really tall. Like wiggle your toes and not touch the top tall. I am not sure why these fit so much different than all my other Rebels but they do. To solution, I added another insole on top of the non- removable insole already in the boot( this was also a first as all my other Rebels have a removable insole). I am still happy with them, but they certainly fit different. Additionally, they are substantially darker brown than the pictures would indicate. I hope this helps someone!

I wear them 95% of the time, on daily 2+- 4 km dog walks, outdoors, year- round and they 're at their peak look and feel. The single possible improvement I made- and that's on me because we have 4 months of winter here- is to replace the soles; the originals are quite tricky on frozen ground. Or a great workout, just watch your head yeah? I chose Vibram, a quick fix and better suited for that.

I bought these in December 2024. They ’ ve sat because I was stuck between the 9D and 9. 5D. I ordered both. I ’ m normally a 9. 5 in just about everything. Vans, Nikes, Thorogoods, you name it. The 9. 5s had a little bit of heel slip and plenty of toe room, and I was afraid of them feeling too comfortable straight out of the box and them stretching too much. Because that ’s honestly what they felt like at first. The 9ds felt tight. Very little heel slip, but doable, but ultimately tight… I decided to go with the pair that felt the most comfortable straight out of the box, the 9. 5s. Again, I was skeptical, but they turned out PERFECT. They are comfortable straight out of the box, and after just a day of wearing, I ’ m already noticing them molding to my feet and the heel slip vanishing, and turns out they were not too big at all, they were ABSOLUTELY perfect. So my recommendation with this particular pair of Durangos, go with your true to size. Even if they feel slightly loose at first, they will mold to your foot and the slip in heel will begin to go away as you wear them in. This is by far, THE MOST comfortable pair of cowboy boots I ’ ve ever owned. Ever. I absolutely love them. I do everything in these from yard work, going out and about, motorcycle riding, etc. these are awesome.

My first are my daily wear shoes for work as a large animal vet assistant and I put 4 to 10 miles on them every shift and am on my feet 9- 11 hours a day.
