I ’ m on my second pair. They last about 14 months for me. But I truly don ’ t mind because these are by far the most comfortable deck boot/shoe whatever you wan na call it that I ’ ve worn. I compare the soul of the boot to one of the “ helm pads ” that are nice and squishy and comfy to save your feet back and knees on those nasty days running in a 27 ’ cc. With these no matter where you stand you have a helm pad under your feet. [ So far I have hiked with these shoes a little over 20mi. I hiked Mount Monadnock two days each day around 10mi. They are very lightweight while being pretty supportive. I definitely felt confident using these shoes on the Spellman, Pompelly,& Marlboro Trails. Spellman being the steepest trail on the mountain, I had no problem climbing off trail on the steep granite slabs. I was able to use the flat toe part of the boot to to support myself while standing on small cracks in the rock like I was wearing a climbing shoe. It was awesome! I felt like a kid at the playground! Terrain was mostly dry, but there were a couple wet spots that the Megagrip sole did perform well on. Temperature was in the low 70 ’ sF. The only negative I have about the boot, is that it does not breathe well. My feet did sweat considerably wearing a lightweight synthetic sock. Both days I took my shoes and socks off at the summit and removed the Ortholite insoles to dry for a half hour in the sun and wind. The inside of the boots didn ’ t fully dry out. The Ortholight insole mostly dried, because they are very thin. Inersoles could be a little thicker to provide more cushioning, but overall my feet felt good at the end of both hikes. These are aggressive trails for breaking in new shoes, but they felt pretty good out of the box, so I went for it. I think these boots will be best for shoulder season hikes and hikes taking you above tree line. Can ’ t wait to take them to Mount Washington NH!

The toe box is comfortable- not too sloppy or tight. The heel( mine is a tad narrow) is also feeling happy with the width. I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! Big fan of these boots. Love the color and the fit. They are a little heavier than the sport version but I liked how these fit more snug around the ankles so my heels don ’ t slide as much. I ’ m a new mom with a winter baby in the PNW and these slip on and off so easily. They removed a barrier in order to get me outside. Also helpful when walking the dog in the rain.

I 've put 50- 60 miles on these in the last few weeks and I 've loved them the whole time. They are super comfortable right out of the box and I appreciate the support for my ankles, especially on hiking trails and in snow. My toes have not been cold or wet even in the Maine winter weather we 've been having. The color is pretty and true to the images online. I ordered a half size up as instructed and that is perfect with my winter socks.

The boots do run a little warm but that's to be expected from a waterproof leather boot. Like other reviews say, they barely have a break in period and are very comfortable for any situation.

These are my Twin boy's first pair of hiking boots. They are 4 years old and are now growing out of their second pair. They never ever got a blistee even from day one. Never one complaint. These boots are just as comfortable as the adult sizes. They provide great ankle support as well as being waterproof. Does n't matter how many puddles they splash in, the feet have always been dry( unless you put the top of the boot in the water they will stay dry!!).

I am an adult who bought these shoes for myself. I ’ ve always worn a youth size 5 in Keens, so that ’s what I purchased. These shoes seemed to run a tiny bit bigger than my other size 5s. They are also extremely wide and roomy. I like my shoes to fit a little more fitted, but I kept them because the color is absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that I don ’ t care for the yellow trim color. I think Keen could have chosen something else that would have looked better, but that ’s just my own opinion.
