I was fishing for Spanish mackerel at Sebastian Inlet and casting next to people using Gotcha lures, silver spoons, and jigs and I was easily outfishing them. I was casting into the breeze and was still getting a decent distance thanks to the casting weights inside the X- Rap. I would recommend the X- Rap for anyone fishing for Spanish mackerel. In my experience, it also catches plenty of bluefish, but I would recommend changing the hooks out to 4X hooks. The hooks that come with the lure tends to bend too easily from the violent head shaking bluefish tend to do.

I recently used these in the tampa bay. The results were very good when nothing else was working, including live. They advertised as durable and that part is simply not true. These baits are very tender and do not last for more than a strike or two. Ill buy them again but rather expensive for being no tougher than they are.

... So I pick up my Marine Metal Cool Bubbles Insulated Bait Saver and stop at the bait shop to pick up some assorted baitfish around 4pm Saturday( Late). Put in 2 D batteries and head to the lake. After fishing when it gets dark I still have alot left and decide Im going to stay at a family members house near the lake( I dont live near the lake) overnight so I can fish again Sunday. I left the bucket with the aerator on overnight on the balcony. I wake up in the morning and go check the fish and they are alive and well. We get to the lake and they are not only alive but live- ly( Never would have thought it possible). We even switched to some lures and worms and came back to the baitfish again later. They were just as active as the moment I bought them. We caught alot of fish and left the lake around 6pm. Thats 26 hours the baitfish lasted. Best fishing investment ive made! I have been using Atom hard baits for a 1/4 of a century. They work! I still have some that are at least 10 years old. Hardware holds up to saltwater. They cast a mile. Big smash and a ton of topwater slosh. Schoolies and blues ca n't stay away. They keep their paint to dozens( if not hundreds) of strikes. When nothing else works these always prove themselves.
