[ I had another Columbia Rain jacket and left if on a plane. I researched many rain jackets for what I wanted and ended up going with Columbia again. I wanted it `` longish '', rain proof of course but also warm, zippered deep pockets, and a nice hood with good fastening abilities around the face. I just got back from an Alaskan cruise and wanted it specifically for this trip and an Antarctica one I have in January. It was perfect, performed well in all areas I wanted it to. I am obsessed with the Bessie Packable Jacket. It ’s everything I didn ’ t know I needed — lightweight, incredibly warm for how thin it is, and so easy to travel with. I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). Yes, this is a cropped boxy fit and runs a bit big. As long as you know that going into the purchase you won ’ t be disappointed. It ’s a FP dupe and a pretty good one( better than ones I found on Amazon). I am usually between a S and M and will often go with M in items like this to layer. But after reading reviews, I went with a S and I ’ m very happy. I can still layer under it but it ’s not too long, the sleeves are perfect and it ’s just baggy enough to be cute. I ’ m 5 ’ 3 ” and 145 for reference. I got the green and I like it but be warned it ’s a color that changes drastically depending on the light. Sometimes it looks darker or lighter and sometimes it pulls blue and almost looks teal. I ’ m considering buying in a second color because so far it has felt pretty warm and comfy to me.

First off, the product does not have a hood& the cuffs/hood/hem do not have cinch capability. That being said I love this! The hem is shorter in front, longer in back. I am 5 ’ 9 ” about 125lbs( and small chested) and go between small& medium tops. I ordered a small& feel it fits great with room to wear a hoodie underneath for fall/winter/spring hiking if needed. It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

I am usually between a small and a medium and got a small for a more fitted look.. I wear it over the grey Fjallraven Snow Cardigan. The hood is spacious enough for a toque and the overall fit is very flattering. For reference I am 5ft4, 140lbs, hourglass body type. Keep in mind this jacket does not have any stretch to it and the shoulders are a bit narrower. The sleeves are nice and long and the length sits just below my waist( I have a short torso). I have been reaching for it since I got it last month. Looking forward to Spring in Alberta to wear it more often!

Love, love, love this jacket. I am that girl who is always freezing, especially if it's windy I do n't stand a chance. Well this jacket has been a lifesaver, got me through- 20F weather with no problem, it blocks the wind and moisture. The pockets at mid level, that are fleece lined, are a blessing. I did a lot of research before buying this coat and I do n't regret it. Now it may not be as form fitting as one might want but honestly when you are warm in dead of winter, who cares. Also it has a million pockets, after 2 winters I still keep finding new ones.

I saved up for a shell to have for many years, and I am so thrilled I went with this jacket. It is wind prof and I can still fit layers comfortably underneath. I am quite tall, so finding a women's jacket with long enough arms is always a struggle, but the arms fir perfectly even with some length to spare.

[ I bought this a month ago and have used it for some relaxed hikes. Really well made, very breathable! Love the hood. Initially thought the chest pockets going outward( zips to open the pockets are on either side of the midline at chest level) was a bad design because I couldn ’ t put my hands in to keep warm. But I realized I can cross my hands hehe. So 0 complains!!:)

[ I have tried many rain jackets but rarely do they beat Fjallraven( even some hunting brands). I Love the big, adjustable hood and adjustable wrist. The material is not paper thin and cheap. I do wish it had side pockets but not a deal breaker. I do n't stuff the pockets like a purse so I have no problems with chest pockets. I 'm 130lb lbs. and have this in Small and Med depending if I need to layer.

Warm but also lightweight. Perfect! Love the inside pocket for my phone. I will say however, I am 5/8 and weigh 130 lbs. If you are big in the chest area, it will be snug. But I do n't have that problem so it's a perfect fit! Love this jacket!

I couldn ’ t be any happier with this jacket. I love that it ’s not heavy, bulky or stiff. The lining is just enough to keep you warm with out making you too hot when in your car or while shopping. If you ’ re an outdoor enthusiast where you ’ ll be out for an extended time in- 0 temps, I ’ d look for a different jacket. This one is stylish and plenty warm for short times out in mild winter weather. I normally wear a large in clothing but typically size up in coats so I bought an XL. It fits perfect and I didn ’ t have the sleeve length issue as I saw in other reviews.( Just a note; Id say my arms are normal in length). If they were to improve this jacket, the thumb hole cuff inserts would be nice. I love this jacket so much that I went back to got the other color. Sadly it was sold out.

[ This jacket meets my PNW needs. It's perfect protection against rain and wind while walking my dog or hanging out on the beach. It's soft, comfortable, and seems to be well constructed. My only complaint is that I had to size up in order for the bottom to zip. The bottom is more fitted and now the top is a bit bulky. I 'm short and curvy and usually wear a medium in jackets, but had to purchase a large. Even with the odd fit, I still think it looks stylish.
