Great boot but I upgrade the insole. This is my second pair and im a hands on GC in Utah. I work new construction and remodels and these boots are great. I like them better than Brunt and they last. My last pair was over 2 years although they were hammered. Just picked up another pair and fitted them with some custom insoles. Very happy with this boot and will probably pick up another pair in 2 years. The sole wears somewhat quick but thats what you get when it's a non- slip sole that doesnt track mud everywhere. I purchased the Men's Mt. Maddsen Slip- On Shoe in October 2022 about a month before a trip to Northern Ireland. I was looking for a comfortable hiking shoe. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. After 2 years of hard use( I write this in 2024) the soles are worn, but no separation at all from the leather uppers. Very well made.( This is for the model A6660 made in Vietnam)

[ This is my 4th pair of Oboz Bridgers. I use the 10 '' insulated for winter hiking and snowshoeing, the low for rocky terrain in warm weather, and have been running a set of Premium Mids for fall hiking. These things are incredibly well constructed, very supportive, totally waterproof, and super comfortable. With my current mids having put in a long service life, including plenty of winter wear, I was due for a new set. They 've made some thoughtful improvements to the tongue and lace hooks, but everything else that I love about the shoes remains intact. The factory insoles are great, but I do swap them out for a set of Superfeet as a personal preference. Despite a lack of insulation and good breathability, there is enough material and protection to make these a bit stifling in warm weather. The added benefit is that they are great during chilly hikes in late fall and make great everyday shoes for winter. As has been my experience with Oboz, I did bump up a half size and it fits perfectly.

I typically don ’ t write reviews but after a day of nonstop wearing in the snow I need to give Red Wing huge props for these boots. Not are they only the most comfortable boot I may have ever owned, they kept my foot entirely dry the entire day and when i reached into the boot to see if it was damp at all it was entirely dry. The cushion and comfort in this boot is unreal. I ’ m not a hunter nor do I use these boots for work. I wear them to walk my labs during the winter in all weather. worth the money. I ’ m actually surprised they don ’ t charge more for these since there is a well worth premium on Red Wings. They ’ re also a great boot for just casual wear.

Being on my feet most of the days for the past 30+ years of my career, I need a greatly comfortable pair of shoes.... especially with my lower discs deteriorated. Also need the shock resistance working on 120- 480 volt equipment. Also need the slip resistance on slippery and/or oily surfaces. These have been my 'go- to' for a couple decades now. These are more comfortable to me than any pair of 'tennis show' I 've worn There is a negative to the comfort... the shoes are actually designed as a 'trail style' shoe. That means the soles are softer than a typical work shoe/boot. It's worth my comfort to have to buy a new pair a little sooner than I would another work boot. I wear the low and high tops.

A good place would be when I purchased these bad boys during my time working at Cabela's 4 years ago. Once I placed these glorious looking fiends on a display rack, I knew I had to have them. And boy am I glad I do. These have been my year- round daily boot, for literally all weathers in Colorado, and I wear them literally every day. The leather has worn in so amazingly, that I forget I 'm wearing them sometimes. I have worn the soles down to being almost flat, now, and have swapped out insoles for some Meindl ones, but man, insoles only do so much. I wear these hiking, Jeeping, running errands, going outside in general, these are what I want on my feet. I have worn these at several jobs, ranging from my mechanic work, to the tarmac as ground crew for an airline, and they are still solid, no tears, rips, anything!( there is some stuffing from the belly of the airplanes when I was stuck on my knees, but it does matter to me, they still look great!) They are such amazing boots, that I base any other boot I try on them. And none have compared yet. You still debating whether to get them or not? Do you like/want to buy multiple pairs of the same boot, or have one that will last through the ages, and all the crazy in between? You wo n't regret these, I guarantee.

Recently I had to work for several hours out in the rain and every layer I was wearing ended up soaked- but my socks and feet stayed dry! I have been buying the breeze boot for about 20 years now. I would agree that the laces need to be a bit longer so you can double tie them. On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I 'm now looking for a new pair of the 7742, but I see much to my disappointment that the outer sole is no longer Vibram. The part number is the same, but the sole is n't. I bought these in December 2024. They ’ ve sat because I was stuck between the 9D and 9. 5D. I ordered both. I ’ m normally a 9. 5 in just about everything. Vans, Nikes, Thorogoods, you name it. The 9. 5s had a little bit of heel slip and plenty of toe room, and I was afraid of them feeling too comfortable straight out of the box and them stretching too much. Because that ’s honestly what they felt like at first. The 9ds felt tight. Very little heel slip, but doable, but ultimately tight… I decided to go with the pair that felt the most comfortable straight out of the box, the 9. 5s. Again, I was skeptical, but they turned out PERFECT. They are comfortable straight out of the box, and after just a day of wearing, I ’ m already noticing them molding to my feet and the heel slip vanishing, and turns out they were not too big at all, they were ABSOLUTELY perfect. So my recommendation with this particular pair of Durangos, go with your true to size. Even if they feel slightly loose at first, they will mold to your foot and the slip in heel will begin to go away as you wear them in. This is by far, THE MOST comfortable pair of cowboy boots I ’ ve ever owned. Ever. I absolutely love them. I do everything in these from yard work, going out and about, motorcycle riding, etc. these are awesome.

The dark brown leather is blemish free. The feeling of fit wearing thick wool socks is comfortable, no odd pressure points along the upper or side portion of the shoes. Man made foam insert foot bed sits on top of the compressed paper or leather mid sole. The glued on `` Chaco '' rubber sole is grippy and has deep treads for a secure wet stance in the rain. So when I wanted a nice pair of casual waterproof winter walking boots in the Chelsea style, I was thrilled to see that Ariat made them! Note: I first purchased reg width( wide, my width, was n't avail at the time) in size 8- 1/2 the boot itself fit perfect but the tops were too narrow above the ankle& rubbed my leg. I exchanged for wide width( avail after Christmas!) size 9( as 8- 1/2 were n't avail), I so wanted these boots. The top part above ankle does n't rub( yay) but the boot is way big for my foot. I bought super thick wool socks and manage but still too big on my feet, they slide as I walk. An 8- 1/2, wide- width would 've been perfect for me but I do n't believe they return 2x's. I wear them but can not walk fast in them and I 'm a NYer, oxymoronic. Highly recommend Ariat's Wexford Chelsea waterproof boots regardless! Super boots.

I have worn Sorel Chelsea boots for several years and have loved them. When my last pair needed to be replaced, I decided to give Ariat a try. I am extremely happy with these boots and will likely not go back to Sorel. They were comfortable out of the box with no break in period- this was shocking to me as someone with heel issues that are usually a problem with new boots. They are comfortable and I can walk around and stand all day without problems. They look great- I love the simple design and low profile logo. Highly recommend- these are the most comfortable and well made Chelsea boots that I have ever worn.

I got these for work, I work in landscape. I really love the style of these, I get lots of compliments on them. I got the tan leather color which I love. originally went half size bigger like website suggested but it was to big so I went with my true size a 10. I ’ ve worn them the last week so far so good took a day to break them in they were tiny bit stiff but so far I enjoy them. Wore them during the rain as well and was impressed with the waterproofing feet stayed nice and dry.

I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

I purchased these boots for winter hiking in the Sierra Nevada. I originally ordered an 8. 5, but the boot felt a bit tight and ordered a half size larger. These boots are warm and waterproof, which was exactly what I was looking for. The snow levels were n't very high, so the boot height was perfect. I think pair with gaiters, they would suffice in deeper snow. My micro spikes fit well with this design of the boot, as well. Not only are they cute, but they are comfortable out of the box, as well.
