I ’ m surprised there are bad reviews. I had the 4s and I actually like these more. Since the reviews said to size up, I got both my normal size( 7 1/2) and 8. The 7 1/2 fits so much better! I walked around my house in the 8s and they loose around my ankle—My foot was lifting out of the shoe a tiny bit. There ’s a little more compression than the 4s, but I actually really like that for running on grass. So I recommend keeping your normal size unless you have a wide foot. I don ’ t consider my foot narrow, I think it ’s pretty normal.

I really love these shoes. Brooks seem to have good quality that lasts. A pair I bought last year( Ghost) is still in great shape after consistent use. I decided to get new ones and I am glad I moved to this style( Cascadia 18). They are super comfortable. I think they will be my new go to. I 'm size 7 in all Nike shoes. I always stick with size 7 even when suggested to size up half a size and it always fits me perfectly in all Nike trainers and running shoes. I was on the fence of buying trail shoes or hiking boots for my Yellowstone and Grand Tetons trip. I am so glad I chose the Cascadia. We hiked 50 miles of trails. Bunsen peak, Mt Washburn( 95% snow on trail), Signal Mtn, Cascade Canyon, and a few others. The lugs on the shoes had terrific grip, the stiffness/responsiveness of the shoe helped pushing off when going uphill. Even in the snow they stayed dry! No gaiters or anything. Would definitely recommend them for hiking, likely great for running too.

Got these for a steal at Ross in Layton Utah for$ 48. A day later went on a 3. 5 mile hike into the canyons and wow I must say these are the best shoes ive worn yet. Super comfortable, durable, traction is superb. Didn ’ t slip once going up hill nor down. Not the best when wet and climbing some granite, almost ice slick. Overall very impressed, would buy full price if I end getting another pair.

Love these shoes!! Great cushion especially under heal. Construction seems solid. Tread pattern is very “ grippy ” and fairly aggressive. Fairly wide toe box is comfortable but not over sized. These shoes fit well as the size indicates. They don ’ t seem to run big or small. Just about right. Also love the detail in the cacti by eyelets. The print inside the shoe, and they even mirrored the Nike logo on the sole so the orientation is correct when leaving footprint!!!

I ’ ve had these for a few months now and I have put over 300 miles on them during that time. Both the sole/rubber as well as the upper show no noticeable signs of wear, which isn ’ t normal for me as a pretty heavy runner compared to most. They have been an excellent purchase and I would definitely buy them again!

The trekking poles are great. I have a liver problem that changes my center of gravity weekly and my sense of balance is not very good. The poles are great in assisting my walking. I want to know if the loops are adjustable.

I 'm very happy with this purchase. The only recommendation for improvement I can make is that the cork handles come unsealed. Since these are going to be used heavily in a wide range of weather conditions, from the hot Arizona sun, Monsoon rains, and even snow, I felt it essential to seal the cork to ensure the handles hold up to the use I plan on giving them. I recommend UV- 40 cork seal. I have used it on fly rod handles I have made and it works perfectly, and lasts many, many years. Make sure to follow the application instructions on the bottle. Apply one good coat using a bristle brush. Make sure you do n't have any drips, runs or sags. Do not apply a second coat, as it will not penetrate.

Just purchased these poles after reviewing my health issues. Being a diabetic for 57yrs I am developing some balance issues. Researching canes I discovered how anti- postural they are, plus clumsy. These are great socks for running, period. Haven ’ t used them on a trail at all, but use them on the road whenever the temp dips. Warmer than their other running socks since they ’ re wool, but they ’ re not overbuilt and constrictive like the older Trail socks.

Love them!!! I get a lot of compliments on these shoes. I have had issues with planters fasciitis for the last year and half and cracked my ankle from falling because of it. I normally wear Ghosts and have great and love them but I got the Caldera 7 on sale so I decided to try them out. I use them daily, not just for running. They are a bit bulky and loud on the office floors for daily but my PF is gone so I can deal with the rest.
