Excellent for winter to cut the wind and retain heat. Had multiple deer come within 30 yds and jacket noise did not alert them. Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. It does not have pockets, which helps with retaining heat and one less thing to leak down the road, but I use a small pack to carry in. I do suggest breaking it in a bit. However I am often required to work outside when it is heavily misting, snowing and sleeting. I have a number of shirts and jackets with a sherpa lining. I read LOTS of reviews( 1 star review- 5 star reviewers) before purchasing, and I am pleasantly surprised with the fit of the jacket. SEVERAL reviewers stated the jacket runs large, one or two stated it runs `` true to size '', so, what is the `` real deal ''? I believe it runs pretty true to its stated size. The large is a little large on me, and the sleeves are a bit long. I have long arms( wear shirt size 16 X 34- 35 '') and the large jacket sleeves are a bit too long. So, it is NOT a `` tailored fit look '', but I personally prefer the jacket to be a bit larger to enable me to wear a sweater of hoodie underneath. The Medium size may have been a better fit; not sure; but I also wanted the grey jacket( which is almost black in color) and it has a somewhat sculptured fit in the way it was designed. I am MOST pleased. PAY HEED: Do NOT attempt to put anything in what `` appears to be '' inside pockets, as these are NOT inside pockets, they are the inside lining for the two outside access pockets. This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!

My job is quite a workout going up stairs and down climbing walls and having my feet on all different angles. About the boot is good quality and good looking too and light weight the carbon max replacing the steel toe is good too but and u have plenty of room for the toe area my feet does n't get tired or fatigue the bad is the carbon max hurts me a lil bit but over all good boot.

I got these 2 years ago and yesterday I was at the beach with my wife. I wore these boots to the Santa Monica beach in CA. Before you ask, I hate sandals and shorts, I will not wear them. As I walked with my wife by the shore, I avoided the waves because I did not want my boots to get wet. Well, my wife was enjoying the ocean water when she thought it would be funny to hold me in place as the wave hit my boots. They got wet and submerged to about the 6 '' mark. My feet were dry. I was confused and surprised, they did not let any ocean water in at all. So I figured, why not and I pushed it further, with about 3 second intervals of waves, they survived. Until the water went above the 8 inch height and then my socks got wet, which is understandable. So I wanted to write a review because it deserved a review because it did a great job preventing water from getting in. It was kind of fun to be honest but the salt is not great afterwards.

The first day I wore here boots for my full shift without problems and these boots felt like they had been worked in for months before. These boots have been through mud, snow, ice and I have had no problems with traction or warmth. I have had a 800+ pound hot rolled steel bar( scaled from the foundry and roughed outside covering) fall and give a glancing blow to my left heel and there wasn ’ t any marks on the heel of the boot. Boots are very comfortable. Little to no break in time. They have a great arch support for when your standing for long hours. I have had them for a couple have held up through rain, mud, dust, dirt, snow. They are water proof. My feet we ’ re slightly damp standing in torrential down pours for my job but after what I was in I doubt any boot is that waterproof…. They are starting to wear out though. I mean I do put them through rough stuff but I don ’ t expect these to last 6 months in the toughest of conditions.
