My last pair was over 2 years although they were hammered. Just picked up another pair and fitted them with some custom insoles. Very happy with this boot and will probably pick up another pair in 2 years. The sole wears somewhat quick but thats what you get when it's a non- slip sole that doesnt track mud everywhere. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. These are the work boots to get if you are in wet conditions. I just bought my second pair after the first ones started to crack a bit on the rubber shell. That being said these are by far the longest lasting and well designed boots I ’ ve found. I ’ m in them 12- 14 hours a day in wet areas they never let me down. Lace ‘ em up, get moving

These are so much easier on my feet then the heavy winter Dryshods. The only recommendation I could make is the little rubber muck cleat on the back of the boot could be just a tad thicker. It's how I take the boot off on the step without bending over.. hahaha
