To be precise, I measure 23cm so technically a 6, and after going up a whole size, I found that they ’ ll be okay to wear with thinner socks( especially once I break them in). If you want to wear chunky socks, I ’ d probably go even bigger.

I got these boots for a trip to Iceland and ordered a half a size up from my normal 8. 5. They were really, really narrow. I then ordered the size up but those were too big and I sent them back. The FloatPro insole is the equivalent to an expensive orthotic insole in that it is supportive and yet has good cushion. It will be a go- to hiker since it did very well in the ice and snow. [ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

I wanted something stylish and warm to get around town with. These Bogs nicely fit the bill. I usually wear a hiking style boot which are functional for walking the dog, especially on trails but the Bogs look great and I was thrilled to find them. I usually wear size 5. 5 but as a bonus, the size 6 fit really well and securely by pairing a lighter sock with a medium thickness sock. I did size up after I ordered my normal 6. 5, TOO small. I was a little worried the 7's would be too big but they are great- I do have a little room in the heel but it is fine. I walk my dog almost everyday at least a mile if not 3 or 4 and these feel great. I have gotten rid of one pair, a suede pair, because after years of being in the elements they were not looking very professional anymore- but the shoe was still holding up minus the, understandably, worn down tread on the ball of the foot. The Emelie can be slipped on and off! Totally love this feature in a bootie. I ’ m still breaking them in but the foot shape that Sorel uses fits my “ pizza ” feet well( thinner mid foot and slightly wider toe splay). I sized 1/2 down for the Emelie because the last pair of boots I bought broke in so well that they are a tad floppy now. At first look, I could n't see where the insulation was located, but after being out in the yard in the winter, I 've been amazed at how warm my feet have felt. The elastic gussets in the side make these comfortable right out of the box. The leather was soft enough to set a nice toe crease. I ’ ll be wear these day after day, delivering mail on a walking route, and look forward to resoleing them multiple times.

Love these ones! I have 5 pair of Bogs- all shapes and styles- from winter to rain to muck boots. These are the newest and they fit exactly what I got them for- yard work. I have only tried them in this cold winter season in Western NY, so i ca n't speak to their breathability, or fit with thinner socks, in the milder parts of the year. But right now, they have been great. Easy to slip on/off, lightweight. For regions with lots of snow like ours, tall snow has gotten into the roomy calf of boot, so I make sure to wear pants that tuck over the boots if I 'm mucking around, or I wear my taller Bogs.

I am very pleased with my Holly Zip Leather boot. I was looking for a sturdy, lightly lined boot with good tread for walking on winter sidewalks.
