These shoes are super cute& trendy! I spent 10 days walking roughly 20, 000 steps per day in Europe with these- including a 6 mile hike& climbing multiple historic towers. My feet were never uncomfortable, I felt the shoes were breathable and sturdy/stable. There was less rain than anticipated but when it rained or there were puddles, my feet and shoes stayed totally dry. My only complaint is they did scuff/dirty and though they ’ re easily cleanable, the suede detail has remained grey after antibacterial wipes. I will try a more aggressive cleaning method though. As always, I size up by 0. 5 because all my Soren ’s run small.

The prior versions had this strange intense curve in the toe portion( perhaps that was designed to repel water during steps?) compared to an older model that is no longer available. The toe box is roomy too and the waterproof feature is great for both PNW rainy days and wet days here in the Midwest. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. After 2 years of hard use( I write this in 2024) the soles are worn, but no separation at all from the leather uppers. Very well made.( This is for the model A6660 made in Vietnam)

I ordered Oxford dress shoes I saw my order confirmed for Oxford PTC. I liked how the PTC looked so I did not complain about it. When I get new shoe I usually have to buy a thicker foam insoles. I had to do that with this pair of shoes as well. I like how well I can walk all day in these shoes. Usually I buy hard toe shoes, but I am experimenting with the bumper toe. I already slammed my toes into a cart wheel, the bumper toe protected my toes, no pain. I am a nurse, moving fast, making turns. These shoes stay on and perform very well.

The oil resistant does have a more open tread pattern so they wo n't collect the oil and dirt and cake up with it. However, these are not what I would call comfortable. The leather on the upper is very stiff and hard on your feet, the insoles are kind of hard. They are getting better as I break them in, but still not great. I 'm not sure I would buy a second pair after this one.

The Contour casual has the same benefit of the excellent gripping sole( without spikes) and also the ability to go car to pro shop( not wearing out golf cleats). Love Sorel footwear! Always a size 7. 5 but for these slip on sneakers I had to return them and get a size 7. Perhaps because they do slip on they were more prone to feeling a little too loose. My fiancé got me the white for Christmas and I love them! They are almost waterproof and very comfy. I work at a dealership and I like having the nonslip feature with Carhartt quality. Please do n't get rid of these!!! Will be repurchasing:)

Great comfortable shoe. My fiancée( whom these were purchased for) is a schoolteacher and is on her feet all day, so comfort is key.
