I bought these for light hiking and walking for vacation. I wore them 6 days out of 7 on vacation and they were amazing. I felt like I was walking on a cloud and they were comfortable even tho I walked over 12, 000 steps a day in them every day. I have an issue with “ hammer toes ” and my toes were perfectly fine in these shoes. Runs a little short, ordered 1/2 size larger.

I purchased these shoes in early Feb and have just worn them now. I am impressed with the comfort and support they offer. We go on cruises and I prefer `` water '' shoes over sandals. The style is great and I will also wear them for low impact workouts. The fact that they are water proof and dry quickly is a bonus. I wash all my work- out shoes and air dry them. [ I hike and walk my dog in the woods and I walk through rivers and streams a lot. I need shoes that: 1) Are supportive enough to actually hike in-- and 2) I can walk through and INTO muddy, rocky rivers and streams in( usually chasing my dog)-- and 3) Then keep hiking-- and 4) Have them dry overnight or faster so I can wear them again. It has been SOOO difficult to find these. `` Water Sandals '' are not supportive enough to hike in and THEY HURT, and are so open that all sorts of rocks and stones get into them and under your feet, and those rigid straps give me blisters. Standard `` waterproof '' shoes still let water in at the top if you actually submerge your feet-- and I do-- and get soaked from the inside out. And then take DAYS to dry. These shoes are closed with mesh( no rocks and stones getting in) and are MEANT TO GET WET and then dry quickly. And they actually are soft, and do n't give me blisters even without socks and everything gives me blisters!! WHY were these so hard to find? I would give 10 stars if I could, and have SERIOUSLY tried and tried to find shoes like these. You wo n't find them anywhere else( which I do n't understand).

The boots are super comfortable and require no break in time. The majority of the hike was through knee high snow and a few water crossings. Running around, prepping for trip, they kept my feet warm and dry in negative temps and snow. Standing for 4+ hours at a time, no problem. These were the only shoes I took on my 7- day trip: walking, hiking, ice, snow, rain, airports, shopping on cobblestone streets- you name it, I did it and my feet felt great. Fortunately I did not experience standing in deep snow or excessive rain, so I ca n't speak to how waterproof they are in extreme climates- but the limited rain and snow I encountered my feet stayed dry. Traction was good on snow and ice, I did n't slip or slide once. Use the website measurements to choose your size- it was spot on. First off they fit a bit small. I had to get size 5. 5 while my old Merrells were size 5. I wore them twice so far on easy trails. Did 8. 8km the first time and 10km the second time. I had no issue at all. They are comfortable right out of the box. Good support, I do n't need my orthotic insoles at all. I sank into mud and stood in the edge of the lake to rinse them. My feet were dry. Waterproof as advertised.:) They are warm though because of it. Might be too warm for summer hiking but I 'll see about that in due time. I am quite happy with my purchase nevertheless.

I ’ ve been wearing Merrill shoes since I was in the Army. I got this particular model in 2010 and it felt like I was Spider- Man humping up and down the Hindu Kush. I also recommend the chameleons! So now that it ’s been ten years I picked up going for long walks and was wearing tennis shoes. I went back to these and love them! The only issue is my left foot toe bed was rubbing but it ’s an uncommon issue and only happened AFTER my eight miles during a cool down mile. I previously did ten miles in these and had no issue! No limping, no true pain beyond having walked ten/eight miles, no blisters. I ’ m happy the quality is still top notch since 2010.

First, I ’ d like to share how amazing Vasque ’s customer service is. I initially purchased a differed boot that wasn ’ t hardy enough for the type of hiking I do- Vasque allowed me to return the boot immediately! So instead of going back to the brand I was with before( Scarpa) I decided to stick with Vasque and purchased this boot with my refund money. I am so glad I did. These boots really hold up with all the things the white mtns throw at you with little break in needed. I did need to loosely lace the boots and insert a toe box stretcher for my own needs but the boot has now confirmed to my foot. I fully submerged both feet by mistake several times. My feet were kept dry and warm. I felt my ankles were supported and my boots got more comfortable as my hike went on. I think I used the first 10 miles of the boot to break it in- and I just completed a 20 mile, 4 4000k peak hike in the whites. Zero blisters or hot points on my feet. Thank you vasque!!!

I bought these boots a month or two ago and honestly, I ’ ve been spoiled. No other shoe will do lol. I have hypermobile joints, arthritis in my feet, bunions, and roll my ankles a lot; I ’ ve been on the hunt for the perfect shoe for years so that I could not be in pain every time I walk and this is it! Fantastic arch support( especially with a memory foam Redwing insole), great ankle support( no more rolling ankles), and the fit and construction are perfect. Very little breaking in, just squeaky for a bit. Absolutely recommend for people with delicate feet or folks who need a lot of support! I can work on my feet all day and not feel any pain. I 'm so happy with these sneaker boots! I bought them for the winter and ended up wearing them for work shoes. I had just gotten a free pair of work shoes and within weeks I decided to wear my sorels for work. They have also become my daily shoe. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes because I have flat feet. Arches are my nemesis, however these support my arches perfectly. They may be a little narrow in the toe box for some. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and got them in the same size. They were a little snug in the fore foot, yet quickly loosened up. I got them in black and have gotten lots of compliments.

While they are snug, they are n't uncomfortably snug at all. Fit like a glove with normal socks. I would not be able to wear thick winter socks with them, but they are so warm I do n't know why I would ever want to. The only comment about style- I disliked the orange laces alot.
