My foot size is 8. 5 regular. The boot size is the same but it feels `` spacious ''. Not too long or short or even wide but ample- enough to accommodate a thick sock. My advice would be that if your foot is low volume or on the small side of the size like mine, order down, if your foot is high volume, order your size, and if your foot is on the high side, order up. A size 8 might have been perfect for me but might not have been roomy enough for thick socks. It's a trade off. The boot leather is super thick but the boots were comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. So far they 're holding up well. The steel toe has not been a problem in the winter cold or summer heat. It is not a factor except when a chunk of wood slips out of my tired hands. I had to learn the need of a steel toe the hard way. I only wish Timberland attached a pull loop to the heel. They put one on their loafers but not on a 6 '' boot. Unusual. A loop would help with the on/off process. What would also help would be lace hooks in place off the top two lace holes. With lace holes the laces have to be pulled down and out to loosen them to widen the boot for removal. You ca n't just kick these boots off. Neither of the above nit picks is a deal breaker. I love these waffle stompers.

Second pair of these boots. Wish they came in half sizes. We put an insert in them and they fit better though. Freest boot that fits snug to the calf without cutting off circulation. Important if you are weed whacking and don ’ t want a bunch of grass down your boot! Super comfy and keeps feet cooler than the cheap black boots. These are the most comfortable work boots I 've ever had. I 've been wearing Timberland Pro's for the last 8 years but decided it was time for a change because there is n't enough protection from corn formation. With these I do n't feel rubbing on the top of my feet. The cushioned wedge makes it easier to be on my feet for 8- 12 hour long days. The strings are light weight and do not dangle ridiculously long they 're perfect. The only thing I would love for them to add is a cushion barrier on the inside of the boot that wraps along the ankle. I 'm glad a made the switch to Carhartt for working boots and use Timberland for what they 're known best for, just fashion. Thank you from a proud hardworking Detroiter.

I 'm on year three of having these work boots. I work in Bering Sea Alaska area. They are very comfortable and waterproof.- 25 Fahrenheit was about the coldest that I wore the boots in, they start to be a little cold at that point, but its rarely that cold here anyway. I walked on ice alot and felt like the traction was better than most my peers on the same surface.

I had a great experience with this boot. Switched from a different boot manufacturer which lasted about 1 year and tried these out for the first time. Very sturdy for me, lasted over a year and a half with no issues. I finally had to call it because the laces were starting to fray around the speed hooks but still good amount of tread left. Not the best in terms of non- skid but very comfortable. Going to try a second pair since the newest brand boots I was testing failed within the first 4 months of light use.

After many different sets of boots, I finally found one that works perfectly for me. They fit well and are very comfortable. They are a bit heavy, but they are work boots, not ultra lightweight hikers. I am an automotive collision tech and offroad fabricator, so I work on my feet on concrete, around oil, water and mud. These boots have lasted me 8 years so far. They defiantly look like they have been used and one of the seams has come apart, but thats to be expected after 8 years. A little Sho- Goo fixed the problem and they are still waterproof. Im surprised the anti- fatigue insoles are still working. You can feel the plushness of them and my feet still feel fine after wearing them all day. I really wanted another pair, and was surprised to see they still make them. So maybe Ill buy 2 pairs. They are well worth it. Also, go to a boot store or whistle workwear and try them on first. Its worth any extra taxes, plus good stores have a nice return policy.

I had a pair of Carhartt boots prior to these and the carhartts only lasted 6 months. I 've had these Timberland Pro's for almost 3 years now. They break in fast, comfortable to walk in all day. They 're really warm in the winter, not too hot in the summer. Very good water proofing. Slip resistant is very good for oils, hydraulic fluid, fuel, aircraft de- ice fluid. There are only 2 complaints I have; the oem laces are complete trash and so are the oem insoles. The soles lasted me only 8 months and laces tore in like 6 months. Buy better insoles and Kevlar laces. I 've dropped parts& tools on my foot and did n't feel a thing. These are also really good boots for welding and using cutting torches. 10/10 must have boot for mechanics. UPDATE 7/20/24: the boots are STILL GOOD AFTER 4 YEARS of daily abuse in all climates and conditions. These are the only work boots I will buy the rest of my life. UPDATE 11/23/24: The boots lost their waterproofing. Ordered a new pair. I will forever only buy these Timberland Boondock boots!!

Worth the money, for me they lasted little over than a year but I work 12 hour shifts between 40- 60 hrs a week in a recycling plant in AZ and we are exposed to kinda harsh conditions daily( dry/dusty areas and wet areas with puddles too), not too mention the +100 degree summer temps we get so they worked fine for me. I came on to the Georgia Boot site looking for a new pair of boots. But I thought I would drop a review on my 12 year- old Giant Work Boot. Because in retrospect, they are the best boot I have ever worn. I have done EVERYTHING in them. Camping, hiking, yard work, home remodeling, etc. Rain, sun, snow, it has not mattered. These boots have passed the test. The tread is still in tact, and I do n't have one loose stitch. I 'm sure they wo n't work for everyone. I work in IT and while it may sound like I sit at a desk behind a computer screen, I assure you, I am climbing, squatting, lifting, pulling, in cramped quarters, outside, on roof tops, in dirty crawl spaces... I work in a glass plant. In addition I do a great deal of mechanical work and outdoor activities. These boots have handled it all with no issues. Not the MOST comfortable, but it is a more old school boot. Soles hold up incredibly well considering I walk on broken glass every day. There isn ’ t a safety tow booth on the market that is more comfortable, good looking than this one. Yeah people love the moccasin toe, not I. I ’ m a round toe feller. These things are so comfortable. I almost took them to Europe on vacation as my only shoe because I can consistently walk over 12 hours a day on the job site. Note, you do have to break these in. I weigh any where from 155- 165 at any given point. I am fire sprinkler fitter and have loved every bit of these boots. Downside with my trade is often times being in standing water and you get what you get from them not being water proof, that ’s okay. My girlfriend tries to get me to wear a different brand, nah….. I bought these boots about 4 months ago as a dress/casual boots as I was wearing Irish Setter Ashby 83908( a Union IW wearing safety toes, 100% BS right?). Well I was moved to another crew and was walking Iron and need a pair of lace ups. These boots have exceeded all expectations. The have been subjected to climbing columns, welding, cutting torches, and grinders( cut off wheels, tiger paws, and grinding rocks.) I wear these boots everyday for 18 hours+ from 4: 30 A. M. to about 10: 30 P. M. when I finally get to bed. I have walked 5+ miles a day( sometimes up to 15 miles a day) in them and the just keep going. My only gripe is Irish Setter does n't make an 8 '' version of this boot! I will be upgrading to Redwing 411/2418 in the next few weeks, but I will still wear these a a pair of 2nds. I will ALWAYS and FOREVER SONG THE PRAISES OF IRISH SETTER as the BEST entry level work boot! Oh lastly, I love Irish Setter boots so that I actually got married in a pair of them.
