I 've only had them a couple of days. I am not a runner; I got into Hokas due to plantar faciitis recommendation from an ortho doc. These are not as comfortable as my Hoka Bondis, but they are still pretty good; I wanted these GTX so I had a waterproof pair for traveling in the UK. Size: I am 75 years old; I have worn either a 12. 5 or a 13 for the past 50 years! I never before put on a pair of 13s and found them to be too small. And not even a little, but waaaay too small! This is my second pair of this shoe. I wore the first pair nearly every day, year round for three years until the soles wore down. Fit perfectly from day 1 and I used them for hiking, ordinary wear around town, and even to a casual restaurant dinner. Got many compliments along the way. These shoes provide the ability to do that. They were comfortable the first day I wore them. I took a hike to some ice formations and they provided excellent stability and traction on the way there and on the ice. They are true to size. I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

[ These are sturdy enough for light hiking and lightweight enough that I wear them everywhere, all the time. The toe box is spacious enough to accommodate my weird feet, and the inserts and good enough that I do n't have to replace them with orthotic- wear type insoles. The color fades quickly, but who cares? I have a sort of weird gait, so I wear down the outside of the heel sooner than I would like, but that happens with all my shoes. I do n't think it's a durability fault, because most of the sole retains its tread.

I am a floor nurse and have spent literally thousands on OnClouds, Nike, Adidas, etc. I unfortunately have plantar fasciitis and the pain is sometimes excruciating; these really do the trick! [ A well constructed hiking boot. The out- of- box fit was snug, but comfortable, and should improve with use. The Vibram outsoles are a bit stiff but provide excellent traction on rocky terrain typical in Mid State PA. Overall the Kailash Trek GTX is a 5 star rated boot

This is my forth pair of these shoes. I wear them every day( whether I 'm going hiking or going to work) and they me last 4- 5 years. I like them because they 're very comfortable and the GORE- TEX keeps my feet dry. They also get a great grip on the trail and protect my feet from all manner of trail hazards. On the negative side, the sole separates from the shoe after a few years. It ’s possible to glue the sole back on, but for what these cost, the soles shouldn ’ t come unglued.

[ The boots are amazingly comfortable. I have worn them on camping trips with some water crossings, hiking, general outdoor activities, and also some around the house work. Once I figured out how to tie them to fit my foot better I could n't hardly tell I had them on. They breathe well and my feet feel fresh and dry. I also wear wool socks which add to that. That traction is there for me in everything I 've put them through. I believe I 've found my new favorite boots.
