I ’ ve been wearing Merrill shoes since I was in the Army. I got this particular model in 2010 and it felt like I was Spider- Man humping up and down the Hindu Kush. I also recommend the chameleons! So now that it ’s been ten years I picked up going for long walks and was wearing tennis shoes. I went back to these and love them! The only issue is my left foot toe bed was rubbing but it ’s an uncommon issue and only happened AFTER my eight miles during a cool down mile. I previously did ten miles in these and had no issue! So far, they have no `` hot spots ''. I normally wear a size 6. I bought a size 6. They fit true to size. My pinky toe( the usual blister spot) has no complaints. The toe box is comfortable- not too sloppy or tight. The heel( mine is a tad narrow) is also feeling happy with the width. My ankle bones are picky and a bit thin- skinned, so that was my hesitation on getting taller boots. I 've worn them several miles, and for several days, all day, and there's no hot spots on the ankle either. The stone color is pretty, and I love the contrast with the lavender colored laces. The laces are easy to change out. The boots are light weight, so your legs do n't get tired. It has n't rained, so I ca n't attest to the waterproof- ness of these, but the tongue is attached almost to the top- about where the eyelets change to hooks. The tongue is padded. I wore my zero cushion wool socks with these and my feet were warm and comfy all day.

I 've always loved Merrell shoes and I do love the Moab Speed 2s I purchased and if I was to change anything it would be I should 've ordered a half- size bigger, I ordered a 9. 5 but should 've gone for a size 10, they are a little tight but I think over time they will stretch. They do n't cause discomfort unless I tie my shoes really tight so I avoid doing that. The only other thing is that the laces are too short I find.

[ I had a pair of Newton Ridge 2 last year that held up very well, except for the tread wearing down to almost nothing, and water would trickle in after they had aged a few months. Moving into the Newton Wander has felt like a big step up. Cosmetically they look much nicer, and have a sleek look. They clean up very nicely too. I work in a lot of slick, and icy terrain so my biggest selling point is traction and durability. I have slipped around here and there wearing these, so that's why I have to dock one star. When hiking, working, climbing traction is absolutely key, and these unfortunately could be better in that regard. That aside they keep my feet dry, warm, and comfortable without making my feet sweat, and even after a long day at work my feet are n't aching at the end of it. All in all I do recommend these boots, but to advise caution on overly slick surfaces.

[ I have hiked 1000's of miles on Asolo boots over the years and had many models. This one runs a tad bigger ue I have always been a 10 in the boot line so I would say it fits more like a 10. 5 but comfortable. Very rigid sole, which I look for in a boot and slightly on the heavier side, which does n't bother me. I did see where someone complained about a stitching clustster were the toungue is sewn together amd that was rather uncomfortable as it sat directly beneath one of the lace locks. I took a pair of flat nose pliers to the material wad.. for lack of a better term.. lol and worked it over a bit w the pliers squeezing and turning wo tearing it! So do n't go to crazy just cruah it down and it solved that problem rather easily. Great boot. Fit is larger. Crush the extra material to soften it.

I work for UPS, yes it ’s imperative that I have comfortable yet rugged footwear, I love these boots so much they have hung in there and are so light and comfortable I even wear them on the weekends, much to my husbands

This is my third pair of Danner ’s I also have a pair of Bull run moc toe and Loggers 917 gtx. This pair like the loggers I had to break in but only because my feet have bunions and the the toe box is a bit more narrow. Other than that they fit like a glove and the more I wear them the more comfortable they get. I love the way they look. Will buy another in the future.

The elastic gussets in the side make these comfortable right out of the box. The leather was soft enough to set a nice toe crease. I ’ ll be wear these day after day, delivering mail on a walking route, and look forward to resoleing them multiple times.
