Most comfortable boots I 've ever owned. When I first put these on in the store, I had to run a couple laps up and down the isles, simply because they were so comfortable. Better than any running shoe I 've used. I bought these last year for a 9 day canoe camping trip in the Canadian wilderness, and these puppies kept up. I 've continued to use them for hiking, climbing, urbex, and rucking. Still no complaints. Do not buy these if you plan on keeping your feet dry. It's simply not what they 're made for. Unless you 're walking through water where your boot is fully submerged, I would n't go for these if you 're only walking through deep puddles or shallow water, as your socks will get wet. The whole purpose of this shoe is to drain quickly and dry quickly. Very rarely do you get excited to use a pair of boots, but these will get you excited to go out and play. Not endorsed, just love my boots. Its a shame they 're being discontinued.

These are very comfortable boots.. They fit and feel like sneakers but have great ankle support. I do busway work for power plants, which requires a lot of climbing and crawling and these boots have held up very well over the past three jobs( total of almost six 70- ish hour work weeks) so far with no signs of degradation. These are the most comfortable work boots I 've ever had. I 've been wearing Timberland Pro's for the last 8 years but decided it was time for a change because there is n't enough protection from corn formation. With these I do n't feel rubbing on the top of my feet. The cushioned wedge makes it easier to be on my feet for 8- 12 hour long days. The strings are light weight and do not dangle ridiculously long they 're perfect. The only thing I would love for them to add is a cushion barrier on the inside of the boot that wraps along the ankle. I 'm glad a made the switch to Carhartt for working boots and use Timberland for what they 're known best for, just fashion. Thank you from a proud hardworking Detroiter.

After three years of hard use, the only thing that went bad on the first pair was the zipper and that is because I was doing a lot of angle grinding on the ground and the sparks were shooting at the zippers for a long time. Being underground in rough conditions, wet, uneven and rocky, these are the most comfortable boots I 've had thus far. That being said there is only one flaw in the boots. The liner broke loose from the boot and I have to use a shoe horn to get one of them off. If they could prevent this from happening I would say it was the perfect boot for coalmining.

Vibram tech on the sole keeps you going strong on the most rugged terrain. The leather material keeps your feet dry and adds durability to the shoe, but it does not provide breathability like other materials. I highly recommend these shoes for specific use, but if you plan to use them for extending hiking, I would choose a fabric material so you feet can breathe and not get overheated.

I just purchased these sneakers and I am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable these shoes are. I have never had any safety toe shoe or boot be this comfortable. I also like the fact that you can slip them on and off without having to tie and untie them every time, which is super convenient for the application for where I am wearing them. When I first got them out of the box they felt heavy but when they are on your feet they are not heavy at all but like wearing regular sneakers with the benefit of the safety toe. The fit is just about spot on could be a little wider for my feet but now I know for next time. Also half the price of red wing so win win.

Great fit, easy on and off but stays put while moving around, these are definitely stretch fit, the laces seem to be decorative in my opinion. Materials seem durable so far, I especially appreciate the extra protection around the `` accidentally kicked a pallet corner '' area. The soles feel like I 'm standing on a fatigue mat even when I 'm not. If I had to complain the outer side of the arch support is very high which has been painful for the first hundred hours or so of wear but it's getting better as it collapses. Overall a much lighter and comfortable alternative to the traditional steel toed work boot.

I got these 2 years ago and yesterday I was at the beach with my wife. I wore these boots to the Santa Monica beach in CA. Before you ask, I hate sandals and shorts, I will not wear them. As I walked with my wife by the shore, I avoided the waves because I did not want my boots to get wet. Well, my wife was enjoying the ocean water when she thought it would be funny to hold me in place as the wave hit my boots. They got wet and submerged to about the 6 '' mark. My feet were dry. I was confused and surprised, they did not let any ocean water in at all. So I figured, why not and I pushed it further, with about 3 second intervals of waves, they survived. Until the water went above the 8 inch height and then my socks got wet, which is understandable. So I wanted to write a review because it deserved a review because it did a great job preventing water from getting in. It was kind of fun to be honest but the salt is not great afterwards.

I work in a steel warehouse for a ten hours a day and comfort is a must for me. I have been wearing these boots for the past five months and since day these boots have been the most comfortable boots ever. The first day I wore here boots for my full shift without problems and these boots felt like they had been worked in for months before. These boots have been through mud, snow, ice and I have had no problems with traction or warmth. I have had a 800+ pound hot rolled steel bar( scaled from the foundry and roughed outside covering) fall and give a glancing blow to my left heel and there wasn ’ t any marks on the heel of the boot. I could not be happier with these boots and while be buying another pair, please don not discontinue these boots ever.

Have worn Carhart shoes, coats and clothes for over twenty years. The shoes I buy are the 8- inch- high variety. I bought these for my retirement because the need for higher boots are not needed. They can take a beating and still look good and durable. I have worn Redwing and I would put these boots up against them any day.

Boots are very comfortable. Little to no break in time. They have a great arch support for when your standing for long hours. I have had them for a couple have held up through rain, mud, dust, dirt, snow. They are water proof. My feet we ’ re slightly damp standing in torrential down pours for my job but after what I was in I doubt any boot is that waterproof…. They are starting to wear out though. I mean I do put them through rough stuff but I don ’ t expect these to last 6 months in the toughest of conditions.

This one has to have the Goodyear welt feature or direct attached or a 3/4 welt. I have really bad neuropathy that I 'm not even 40 yet I 'll be 40 in 2 months And it's a shame of this boot is not 600 to 1000 g

They are comfortable. Kinda ate my heel up a bit but they are new boots so it is expected. But over all I am very happy with them.

[ The materials, color, and safety attributes of these boots initially appealed to me. I wear work/safety boots six days a week, 12+ hours a day. The Carhartt Ironwood boots fit exactly right, and are unexpectedly comfortable. The soles absorb shock and are comfortable all day. The insulation is just right too. My feet usually sweat in boots, but stayed very warm did not sweat in these. The only improvement I would make is to use something other than hiking boot laces. I ’ m very satisfied with them and would highly recommend.
