I run with a heel strike, and I have found the cushioning and the support around the heel of the trainer really helpful for this. Quality is excellent, though I have come to expect that from brooks! I have been buying Adrenaline GTS for YEARS, several pairs a year. And these were the first pair I did n't slip into and did n't love immediately. I hated them instantly, they were too soft, too different then I was used to. I felt that if they were going to drastically change the Adrenaline GTS's they should have just come up with another line of shoes and not touched my perfect shoe!! I was upset. I ’ ve bought Reebok Nano 6 ’s for years and they ’ ve been great for CrossFit workouts. I recently switched to more HIIT workouts and really felt the need for more cushioning- especially going from box jumps to sprints and more. I bought the metcons in both 8. 5( my normal size) and 9 ’s as people said to size up. They were comfortable and had more cushioning yet the same stability as my metcons but the sizing was a bit weird. My normal size felt a little bit tighter/smaller but the 9 ’s felt huge. I walked 5- 10 miles and my feet were a little tired by the end of the day but this was due to a lack of walking in my day to day life.
