I ’ ve been wearing Merrill shoes since I was in the Army. I got this particular model in 2010 and it felt like I was Spider- Man humping up and down the Hindu Kush. I also recommend the chameleons! So now that it ’s been ten years I picked up going for long walks and was wearing tennis shoes. I went back to these and love them! The only issue is my left foot toe bed was rubbing but it ’s an uncommon issue and only happened AFTER my eight miles during a cool down mile. I previously did ten miles in these and had no issue! When the Targhee III came out I tried them, but Keen had changed the last and they did n't agree with my feet. I was so thankful that Keen kept the II version. Although, color choices were no longer updated each year. When I saw the Leave no Trace collaboration color I had to have them. These are the most comfortable Targhee IIs I 've had. This is the third time I 've tried to send this review. Last time... the Adrika is beautiful and I love them however the 8. 5 is too short. I ordered them on line. I tried on 3 other pairs of Danner boots at the store and the 8. 5 fit right but they had a more generous toe box than the Adrika. So I had to send back my boots. Unfortunately for me the size 9 are out of stock. I hope they will be available again soon. I 'm still without hiking boots. Dona

[ I have plantar fasciitis and lately my feet are always hurting. I really love these shoes and my feet feel great after wearing them for 1- 2 mile walks or an all day outing. My orthotics fit in these perfectly. Without my orthotics the shoes rubbed against my ankle, but the inserts lifted my heel just enough so that was not an issue anymore. They are much more rigid than my typical athletic shoes, but that is probably beneficial in my case. I will definitely replace these with the same shoe when the time comes.

The lighting guy
I bought these boots three years ago to use exclusively for hiking. The break- in was painful but quick. Once broken in they feel like slippers. So much so that I wear them everyday as my work boots. I install landscape lighting daily and I ’ m not kind to these boots. Three years later they are still performing better than any boot I ’ ve ever purchased. The soles are almost slicks but every morning I put these slippers on and go to work.

[ LOVE these shoes!!! So cute and comfortable. Needed warm, waterproof shoes with traction for a trip to Iceland. Straight out of the box these boots were comfy- no break in time necessary. Running around, prepping for trip, they kept my feet warm and dry in negative temps and snow. Standing for 4+ hours at a time, no problem. These were the only shoes I took on my 7- day trip: walking, hiking, ice, snow, rain, airports, shopping on cobblestone streets- you name it, I did it and my feet felt great. Fortunately I did not experience standing in deep snow or excessive rain, so I ca n't speak to how waterproof they are in extreme climates- but the limited rain and snow I encountered my feet stayed dry. Traction was good on snow and ice, I did n't slip or slide once. Use the website measurements to choose your size- it was spot on. These boots look amazing on- they do not make your feet look big and the cream color with the pink laces... cute, cute, cute!!! Bought them to wear on my trip, will happily be wearing them all the time. Do n't hesitate to purchase these boots, you will not be disappointed!
