As someone with a lot of foot problems, finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and that look nice had been a challenge. After trying similar LL Bean and Timberland shoes, I finally got the Moab 3 from Merrell. After 4 years of daily use and frequent outdoors activity including outings with my son's scout troop, the upper started to crack where my foot flexes. The sole and lining was still in good condition with reasonable wear. With a rainy camping trip looming, I got the replacement pair and have been just as happy with the new shoes as I had been with the old ones. These are fantastic shoes that offer great stability, decent protection against water, and great comfort.

I 'm on a quest to see all of our National Parks and these were my first purchase. So far we have hiked in Shenandoah( rocky, damp, sometimes slippery) and in Death Valley( HOT! Dry! gravelly, uneven terrain) and these boots have been perfect in both. We got wet in Shenandoah but my feet stayed dry. We got sun- baked in Death Valley and my feet stayed blister- free. [ I got the new ones and they are great! The warranty dept honored my claim for hardware that pulled out of my old pair of Keens without a hassle. Im happy with the new pair. Hopefully, the hardware at the top of the shoe that holds the laces will hold up. That was my only issue with the old pair. Thanks for honoring my warranty claim.

Keens have always been very comfortable right out of the box, and these were no different. I have a high arch and wide feet but these fit well without being too snug. I also have a pair of Keen Targhee Slip On that are great for everyday... especially in the winters in New England. These boots are perfect for hiking, snowshoeing, and( more recently) shoveling.

[ I have n't had to buy new hiking boots in years and though it would take lots of tries to find the right boots. I put these on and was immediately sold on how comfortable they were and how perfectly they fit. I have n't had the chance to take them out on a trail yet, but they have been great for a couple of walks in town so far to start to break them in. I love the color, too. Looking forward to taking them out for a real hike soon.

[ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

Very nice looking, lightweight and size fit perfectly- very comfortable. I usually wear heavier hikers, like the Targhee models. But these are perfect for light hikes and everyday wear. I love the color, and the black soles are so much better than white.

[ These shoes were comfortable right out of the box and did n't need any breaking in. I took them to London in winter on a work trip as my only pair of shoes for the entire week.
