First off they fit a bit small. I had to get size 5. 5 while my old Merrells were size 5. I wore them twice so far on easy trails. Did 8. 8km the first time and 10km the second time. I had no issue at all. They are comfortable right out of the box. Good support, I do n't need my orthotic insoles at all. I sank into mud and stood in the edge of the lake to rinse them. My feet were dry. Waterproof as advertised.:) They are warm though because of it. Might be too warm for summer hiking but I 'll see about that in due time. I am quite happy with my purchase nevertheless.

These come out the box with a good insole and minimal break in time, I ’ ve had some 14- 18 hour days on them and while my feet are tired and fatigued at the end of the day, they don ’ t hurt. They also provide great ankle support. I ’ ve worn it hiking, inside of shoothouse training, and during hog hunts and it ’s been a very reliable sturdy shoe for me. While it may be labeled “ waterproof ” I wouldn ’ t walk through deep water or soak them for hours on end and expect perfectly dry feet, it ’s unrealistic and not what it ’s built for in my opinion, it will keep them dry in rain or more shallow ankle deep water, or walking through wet fields. However nothing is perfect, if your looking for something to keep your feet from sweating this isn ’ t it, with them being the waterproof version your feet are going to sweat pretty good, I knew this going into it and therefor it didn ’ t bother me. But I would recommend a different version if you want a nice breathable shoe. The other thing I would change is how thick the tongue is, it doesn ’ t really rub or create hot spots or sit weird it ’s just a personal preference thing for me.

This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. Thirty years ago I suffered a severe mid foot crush fracture which is now arthritic combined with areas of non- union. I have worn Morrell Moab 3 ’s for many years with orthotics and had the best support possible, but the antora has given me amazing pain free ambulation while walking our rural property and roads, as well as while shopping and walking the dogs. I haven ’ t gotten to use them much yet, but I took them out for a couple mile spin and found them pretty comfy, just need to break them in a bit more:)

[ I 've worn these only on suburban roads and treadmill so far because of the extreme weather we 've been having but so far( approximately 20 miles total) they have been outstanding. The fit is amazing. I have room in the toe box and the height is just right on my ankle. I ca n't wait to hike on trails this spring.

[ I have found these boots to be extremely comfortable and very supportive. I normally add my own insoles to all boots but didn ’ t need to with these. They are true to size and very well made. The traction on the sole is spaced well. It does not collect excessive mud/etc. I would highly recommend these boots over other popular brands I have had before them.

These kamik boots don ’ t crack like other cheap rain boots. Kids give them a beating. We pass them down so we get a few years out of them and they seem to hold up well. There are more expensive options available but these do just fine.

I ’ ve been wearing Merrill shoes since I was in the Army. I got this particular model in 2010 and it felt like I was Spider- Man humping up and down the Hindu Kush. I also recommend the chameleons! So now that it ’s been ten years I picked up going for long walks and was wearing tennis shoes. I went back to these and love them! The only issue is my left foot toe bed was rubbing but it ’s an uncommon issue and only happened AFTER my eight miles during a cool down mile. I previously did ten miles in these and had no issue! No limping, no true pain beyond having walked ten/eight miles, no blisters. I ’ m happy the quality is still top notch since 2010.

I 've been searching all over the internet for this particular boot size 15 because I 'm on my 4th or 5th pair if not more. I love them. Why is it that companies build great products that people buy and then in some great vision stop making them! I do not want the boots with mesh inserts, they do n't hold up for my usage I 've tried, I want full leather. Almost all your comments on this boot are `` excellent '' why stop making them then? [ These are n't boots that you can take out of the box and go for a backpacking hike, they will need broke in first. When I first put these boots on they felt great, I went for a 2 mile hike and my feet were hurting. It took me about 10 miles, 2 per day, to get to where they felt good, now I love them. These are my 4th pair of Keens, I have been wearing the Steel Toe Pittsburg for work and love them too. The wife was soo convinced that she bought a pair of low top Targhee Vent, she loves them also.

[ The boots tend to be wider than I thought and a half size bigger than my original size, but my orthodics fit in easily and I can wear a pair of thick socks with the boots. I love this brand and will buy another similar shoe come spring time!
