I ’ m surprised there are bad reviews. I had the 4s and I actually like these more. Since the reviews said to size up, I got both my normal size( 7 1/2) and 8. The 7 1/2 fits so much better! I walked around my house in the 8s and they loose around my ankle—My foot was lifting out of the shoe a tiny bit. There ’s a little more compression than the 4s, but I actually really like that for running on grass. So I recommend keeping your normal size unless you have a wide foot. I don ’ t consider my foot narrow, I think it ’s pretty normal.

Thirty years ago I suffered a severe mid foot crush fracture which is now arthritic combined with areas of non- union. I have worn Morrell Moab 3 ’s for many years with orthotics and had the best support possible, but the antora has given me amazing pain free ambulation while walking our rural property and roads, as well as while shopping and walking the dogs. The shoes are lighter weight, still offer excellent support especially mid- foot, with quicker and easier breakover which makes an enormous difference to my gait and comfort. These are my comfiest Ryka's and I own several pairs of Ryka's in different styles. By comfy I mean soft and cushiony. These are not extremely supportive like Hokas which can be stiff. The Devoted Walking Sneaker's design is brilliant. At first, you think, what's with this toebox! The width feels just right but the fabric top is oddly roomy with airspace above your toes. The fabric is not stretched tightly, so it's a bit loose. Your toes can move. Toe bumps are n't rubbed. PLUS the heel is snug. So, when you lace up, your feet stay put and do n't shift around. The snug heel plus roomy toebox mean your metatarsals do n't get pinched or achy. ALL THIS, PLUS the shoe bed is super comfortable with incredible cushioning front and back. For me, the cushioning is so good that I do n't even need my custom orthotics for bad metatarsals, something I 've required for 30 years. fyi my other favorite Ryka model for daily use is Devotion X Walking Shoe, which provides a fit that's more tailored with fabulous cushioning, also no orthotics needed. Very warm and comfortable. I keep the laces a little loose and tied which allows me to slip on and off easily. I got a half size bigger than my sneaker size which allows for thicker socks. Looks great with jeans and leggings.

I took these boots up to the mountains with me this past week and hiked in them on 3 long day hikes. I thought I would have to break them in so brought my old pair with me as a back up. I love these boots. They are immensely comfortable. Wore them as cold weather boots for walking through fall& winter. But the colorways are absurd. I beg Vasque to release a colorway that can vibe in an urban setting… please!! Tonal, crisp, austere, understated… think: something that could be worn with a suit, to a meeting, restaurant, or any other grown- up activity. Think: city to trail in the same day. Please! I keep looking for another colorway to repurchase.

[ I love these boots. Wearing them feels like walking on giant marshmallows- they 're supportive without feeling constricting. I have weak ankles and narrow feet so the slim footbed and structured sides are perfect for me. These are my second pair of Vasque boots, the first being the snow boots I bought last season and loved. So far I have worn these on the beach and through the woods- looking forward to taking them on their first bigger hike this weekend. They 've proven to be waterproof and comfortable. Also, even though I was n't excited about the color scheme( teal& purple), they look really cute on.

I bought these for Oregon as an all weather wear. I love the no slip sole. I wore chains to walk around outside as a camp host in the snow and ice. I no longer need my shoe chains. The vibram sole never slips. I can go from outside to inside the kitchen without changing my shoes. My boots are very comfortable and lightweight. I always stay dry. Thanks for the excellent product. I have never worn a better boot. I have Red wing I had Danner, Columbia, Sorel, Solomon. These are by far my favorite yet.

I love the sneakers. Very comfortable under foot. I don ’ t have a wide foot, the sneakers are wide around the ankle part. I have to wear arch support. I usually remove the original footbed& add my arch support. With these I had to leave in the footbed& add my arch support on top. The shoe isn ’ t too long for my foot either.
