I felt like I was walking on a cloud and they were comfortable even tho I walked over 12, 000 steps a day in them every day. I have n't used them in water yet but love that they can get wet, especially as a way to clean them up easily. I have worn them with socks and without socks and they are comfortable either way. I took this on my first trip to the western states and used them hiking in Estes State Park and Yellowstone, my legs were sore from the inclines and walking long before my feet ever where! Where did I take my new shoes? First trip is to Portugal, including beaches, cobblestone streets, hiking on gravel and stone paths. And yes, a bit of water to test the waterproof claim. Warm and dry- but not too warm. They breathe better than past waterproof shoes( including from Merrell) I have had. Fine for wearing all day in the sun. I 've only wore these a few times but so far I really like them. I may have got a half size too big but they are spacious, flat and proivide lots of room for my toes. The traction on the bottom feels really good as well. I had ordered the low top to see if they would replace my trail glove but unfortunately those ones seem to have a much higher arch support than these mids. These ones are much more neutral. So if you are like me and want a more barefoot feel then these may work even if the low ankle wrapts did not feel good for you. I wear a 10 in some of their shoes and I got a 10. 5 in these.

[ I hike and walk my dog in the woods and I walk through rivers and streams a lot. I need shoes that: 1) Are supportive enough to actually hike in-- and 2) I can walk through and INTO muddy, rocky rivers and streams in( usually chasing my dog)-- and 3) Then keep hiking-- and 4) Have them dry overnight or faster so I can wear them again. It has been SOOO difficult to find these. `` Water Sandals '' are not supportive enough to hike in and THEY HURT, and are so open that all sorts of rocks and stones get into them and under your feet, and those rigid straps give me blisters. Standard `` waterproof '' shoes still let water in at the top if you actually submerge your feet-- and I do-- and get soaked from the inside out. And then take DAYS to dry. These shoes are closed with mesh( no rocks and stones getting in) and are MEANT TO GET WET and then dry quickly. And they actually are soft, and do n't give me blisters even without socks and everything gives me blisters!! WHY were these so hard to find? I would give 10 stars if I could, and have SERIOUSLY tried and tried to find shoes like these. You wo n't find them anywhere else( which I do n't understand).

I have severe plantar fasciitis and have to switch shoes on the regular. These are part of my rotation and have been great. I like the traction, support and waterproof features. I do find it a bit stiff but not enough to complain about it they need broke in. The fit is roomy not narrow like other brands and true to Keens shape with a wider area by the ball of the foot. [ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

I ’ m a size 12 through and through, but these in the same size were tight. The toe box is smaller than normal. Also you need to take into account feet swelling and perhaps thicker socks. I wore these for the first time all day hiking around Grand Cyn Village. I was surprised there was no uncomfortable rubbing or stiffness which is very common with new hiking shoes. I was very impressed!

On our trip, they proved to be waterproof( at least up the ankle of course) and had a great fit. I first broke them in on our trip and they were very comfortable. These shoes provide the ability to do that. They were comfortable the first day I wore them. I took a hike to some ice formations and they provided excellent stability and traction on the way there and on the ice. They are true to size. I can wear these with regular cotton socks but can also comfortably wear wool socks too. I have not tested the waterproof capabilities so I can ’ t comment on that feature.

They were great on a five hour hike up steep cliffs and rock outcroppings. Hugged the ground. No blisters. No sore spots. Held our feet in place. I have a narrow heel but my heels never slipped. [ Super sharp looking and great for hikes. I had to get the 7's stretched out a bit, but then they fit perfectly( I 'm normally a 6. 5 but wanted room for socks). Have n't had a chance to test out the waterproofing, but I bought these for a trip to Belize in the rainy season, so I guess we 'll see!

This is my second pair of this shoe. I wore the first pair nearly every day, year round for three years until the soles wore down. Fit perfectly from day 1 and I used them for hiking, ordinary wear around town, and even to a casual restaurant dinner. Got many compliments along the way. I am male, wear a men's size US 6/Euro 39 shoe, and have difficulty finding my size, and a women's size 7. 5 works with this shoe. Asolo was a new brand name for me and I 'm sold on their quality and fit. The waterproof feature is a bonus, especially in winter.

[ I love the look of these and they were generally comfortable, but just wearing them around the house for a few minutes it was clear that the narrow footbed would be a problem on longer hikes, so sadly having to return. I do n't have particularly wide feet and usually do fine in regulars from other brands, these just run more narrow than most. They do also seem to run large- probably best to try in a store if you can.

[ I spent a couple of weekends in these. I bought them so I am able to drive and hike in them but also to be able to put them on and take them off easier when compared with hiking boots. So far they performed excellently. I am also very pleased by them being breathable and keeping my feet cool despite hiking in hot weather. They seem rather roomy and I have wide feet. I was concerned that I may get blisters but in the end I was very comfortable after a 3 mile hike in sandy soil. I would definitely buy them again.

[ This is a good shoe. The only problem that I 'm having is the tongue of the shoe kind of digs into the top of my foot and was a little uncomfortable in the beginning. I 'm hoping that this is just a breaking in issue. I have worn these Teva's for probably 10 years or so and I do love them. Just not 100% sure about the new style just yet
