First off they fit a bit small. I had to get size 5. 5 while my old Merrells were size 5. I wore them twice so far on easy trails. Did 8. 8km the first time and 10km the second time. I had no issue at all. They are comfortable right out of the box. Good support, I do n't need my orthotic insoles at all. I sank into mud and stood in the edge of the lake to rinse them. My feet were dry. Waterproof as advertised.:) They are warm though because of it. Might be too warm for summer hiking but I 'll see about that in due time. These come out the box with a good insole and minimal break in time, I ’ ve had some 14- 18 hour days on them and while my feet are tired and fatigued at the end of the day, they don ’ t hurt. They also provide great ankle support. I ’ ve worn it hiking, inside of shoothouse training, and during hog hunts and it ’s been a very reliable sturdy shoe for me. While it may be labeled “ waterproof ” I wouldn ’ t walk through deep water or soak them for hours on end and expect perfectly dry feet, it ’s unrealistic and not what it ’s built for in my opinion, it will keep them dry in rain or more shallow ankle deep water, or walking through wet fields. However nothing is perfect, if your looking for something to keep your feet from sweating this isn ’ t it, with them being the waterproof version your feet are going to sweat pretty good, I knew this going into it and therefor it didn ’ t bother me. But I would recommend a different version if you want a nice breathable shoe. The other thing I would change is how thick the tongue is, it doesn ’ t really rub or create hot spots or sit weird it ’s just a personal preference thing for me.

This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. Excellent boots for summer to fall hiking that will last.

Thirty years ago I suffered a severe mid foot crush fracture which is now arthritic combined with areas of non- union. I have worn Morrell Moab 3 ’s for many years with orthotics and had the best support possible, but the antora has given me amazing pain free ambulation while walking our rural property and roads, as well as while shopping and walking the dogs. The shoes are lighter weight, still offer excellent support especially mid- foot, with quicker and easier breakover which makes an enormous difference to my gait and comfort. The boots look great and based on walking the dog in the rain they are definitely water proof. The shoes are true to size, You may want to get a 1/2 size bigger if you always wear thick socks. They are fine with athletic crew socks. The quality is excellent the seams are tight and the bottoms provide secure footing.

Great shoe and Solid quality. Used daily for running and small trails. It ’s honestly my new favorite shoe. I wish they made them in more colors. I even purchased the all black for work as LEO and use them daily averaging 20- 25k steps a day. As someone with a history of foot problems, I have not experienced anything from these shoes that made the problems worse.

I really like these shoes! I use them for walking around town and some trail walking. I find them to be excellent in terms of support. The sole is hard but has great traction. They protect my foot from the rough terrain without adding 2 ” of padding. That said, because the sole is hard and not thick or really cushioned, these would not be my choice for standing all day. I would definitely buy them again, but only for when I am active.

Merrells always have the best fit, right out of the box. So far, I 've just worn these through airports, which can be quite the test, right?( Several years ago, I bought some Moab hiking boots, wore them in the house for an hour& then spent 2 weeks in Iceland with them, without a sore or blister.) And these Siren Edge 3s look nice, too.

I ’ ve been wearing Merrill shoes since I was in the Army. I got this particular model in 2010 and it felt like I was Spider- Man humping up and down the Hindu Kush. I also recommend the chameleons! So now that it ’s been ten years I picked up going for long walks and was wearing tennis shoes. I went back to these and love them! The only issue is my left foot toe bed was rubbing but it ’s an uncommon issue and only happened AFTER my eight miles during a cool down mile. I previously did ten miles in these and had no issue! No limping, no true pain beyond having walked ten/eight miles, no blisters. I ’ m happy the quality is still top notch since 2010.

I 've been searching all over the internet for this particular boot size 15 because I 'm on my 4th or 5th pair if not more. I love them. Why is it that companies build great products that people buy and then in some great vision stop making them! I do not want the boots with mesh inserts, they do n't hold up for my usage I 've tried, I want full leather. Almost all your comments on this boot are `` excellent '' why stop making them then? The answer better be good
